And yet an awful lot of people take American sports seriously, despite numerous ways in which weaker teams are given a 'helping hand' (draft picks, revenue sharing, salary caps etc). Without support for weaker teams many tracks would have closed at some point in the past and in all likelihood been permanently lost to the sport, thus accelerating the sport's decline.

I would say crowd sizes go... 1 - Ipswich 2 - Oxford 3 - Belle Vue 4 - Sheffield 5 - Leicester 6 - King's Lynn 7 - Birmingham Oxford probably would be top if they didn't race in the Championship as well, that has to dent Premiership crowds a bit. Basically the top 5 are all pretty close regardless, and are all well supported.

How is there extra pressure, he's on a 3 point average, but was averaging above that in the top 5 last year? Besides anyone in a team with Doyle & Sayfutdinov shouldn't feel any pressure knowing they'll be scoring the bulk of the points, add in possibly the strongest RS & I'm assuming an fast improving Brennan & Rew - I can't imagine anyone in the Ipswich team feeling any pressure.

More rumours suggest Masters and Douglas are staying at Leicester its highly likely they are true. I imagine Tolleys team will be just as bad as last seasons because of them announcing they are struggling financially.

There was quite good Poole stand with some very very old racing jackets. It was a decent show to be honest

I think there is improvement in Emil personally. Averaged 10.10 in 2023, this year 9.12. He struggled with engines both here and in Poland and couldn’t get to the bottom of the issues until mid season. Finally got going and then it was normal service resumed. Because of that he dropped a point off his average. There’s improvement there.

Just a thought - those clubs that choose to start their season at Easter might not be starting their'meaningful' fixtures til end April/ early May, which makes it easier to manage meetings up to end June for Cairns!?

I actually think it will be your side now after thinking about it. Just got a Stewart Dickson vibe to it, UK based 1-7 and just the one change from last years side so it ticks the continuity box as well. I know the Masters/Douglas rumours doing the rounds but I've got a hard time believing any rider would sign for Birmingham if they had multiple offers/intrest from other clubs. Birmingham can easily go under at any stage next season and they can easily fall behind in rider payments so I think they'll end up with 6 riders that nobody else wants tbh.

Only Belle Vue can say they get both consistently. It's the only Premiership track that is conductive to genuine, full tilt racing. Every other track is predominantly follow the leader until a rider makes an error, or the heatleader misses the start. One of Birmingham's big error in team building last year was simple, they signed no trappers.

So is saying Rowe is currently “way in front” based on the fact he gets rides in Poland. That in itself isn’t a yardstick to compare them which is what you’re doing. The only fair comparison is a comparison in which they compete in the same league. That is the ONLY way to compare where they’re currently at. Look, I know it’s absolutely desperate being a Lynn fan these days but trying desperately to claim some kind of small victory by claiming a rising star that rode for you this year (one that has already buggered off btw) is in a different stratosphere as a rival Rising star when it blatantly isn’t the case, is bizarre in the extreme.

That first sentence is the most ridiculous thing I've read on here in ages. By all means you can suggest Rowe is stronger / more promising but a "million miles ahead" come on, be serious. As for why they are even being compared? Well they've both progressed out of the RS berth at the same time, so why wouldn't you compare them?
