I cant imagine any "assets" of the Derwent Park promotion were moved on to the Northside revival. Any old assets would have reverted to the BSPL after 2018.3 points

I'm trying not to get my hopes up, but it's left a nice 8.9 (Leon Madsen, et al) shaped hole. And the fact that it'll be the last signing announced also has to be a good sign. 1. Leon Madsen 2. Erik Riss 3. Maciej Janowski 4. Charles Wright 5. Rohan Tungate 6. Peter Kildemand 7. Luke Killeen Not a bad team that!3 points

It was a weak moment in my Forum career, heard you’re dropped already as your very pink skin doesn’t go with the race suits. Not to mention you would probably be sh*te, but you would still be a better option than Dayle Wood right enough. Come to think of it if someone was pushing your fat arse in a wheelbarrow you would still be a better option than Dayle Wood.3 points

Depends on what ave he comes in on ..Bargain on 5 ish or under and number 6...Leaves room for a big hitter...2 points

No, he was transferred over to Swindon at the time with Kenny Ingalls transferring to a Workington asset2 points

Terrible signing .He pretty much washed up..Even when he was good he had more Crashes than a Spectrum 48 k computer.2 points

Looked underwhelming at the time but Stewart Dickson might have made a shrewd move when putting Leicester's 1-7 together. They've got 6 experienced riders on British tracks who can all hit the ground running. A couple of other clubs will be relying on newcomers / returning riders to get it right from the get go and like we saw with Janowski in 2024 it can take a long time to get back into the groove on our tracks.2 points

a very merry xmas and a happy 2025 riders please ride safe1 point

Kildemand is a great signing, if the year was 2010. Oxford need to tempt Laguta over, this team is going to fail massively without Artem's big scores.1 point

There is some method behind the madness,i promise! Redcar have put out this post today- "Jamie’s happy, will you be when the full “Agilia” Bears 1-7 is announced tomorrow night at the ECCO Arena? 🇬🇧 🇩🇰 🇦🇺 🇳🇿 🇸🇪 🇩🇪 🇦🇹 🇵🇱 So many possibilities, but only 7 signings" 8 different flags- maybe a flag for each rider plus the team manager?1 point

Very funny when Spires make a signing that winds up poor old Orion. Last season Magic - the season ahead Kildemand.1 point

Only kidding Blobby I actually like you as you post more drivel than me on here. Could be worse my mate had a pair of Speedo shorts for swimming on holiday and i peeled the S off when he went to the pool all the kids jumped out screaming.1 point

What does it matter what they done in the past.. He's wash up now...Bit like saying in Football we just signed ex Pl winner Eric Cantona on a free transfer1 point

Sure it'll go all season at least with the set up at Iwade. I think every fan of Eastbourne and Kent realises this is a new venture and think it'll enhance the support. Distance maybe a problem for some, me included to go on a regular basis, but as said think spectator numbers will be good enough to make the project successful.1 point

One rider that always went well at Plymouth was Thomas Jorgensen, I know he sat out last season in the UK but if I recall he was on an average around 6.5 in 2023, could be a good signing on that average. Would allow for a stronger reserve than Trigger and maybe enough for someone like Hagon to be at reserve with Fredriksen.1 point
-
I like it. Besides, it's only a bit of fun. Surely you're not ashamed of the fact that your very own home town is the only one in the UK with that special 4 letter word contained within?1 point
-
I don't see a problem. It keeps a track open. Kent fans get a local team - the Kent Eagles - to watch. Eastbourne fans get an Eagles side to support, with the knowledge that this venture's end goal is to prove themselves before making a bid to bring speedway back to Eastbourne.1 point

he never said it was hes saying that riders who miss leagues shouldnt be reassessed too low 4 would be too low imo even though hes not the rider he was1 point

It was. Peter signed for us for the 2020 season on a 7.10 average but never rode due to Covid. He then signed for Kings Lynn for the 2022 season on his 7.10 average but never rode due injury, being replaced before a wheel was turned. Even though he had his 7.10 average two years ago, there’s only so long he can keep that without riding over here so I’d expect him to be reassessed. He was in the Rzeszow squad this year but didn’t ride. Looking at the rules (this seasons anyway) he will be a 4 due to his participation only in the Danish Super League but who knows what they’ll do. https://britishspeedway.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/p22_issue_1.pdf1 point

Now I've seen the rules, Kent could go with Ablitt & Morley. Any rider who rode in 24 is eligible for 25. Morley would be the only "4-6" rider.1 point

I would disagree. Harris trumps the lot but the Redcar trio are all ahead of Howarth and Thompson at the moment. King was carrying an injury for a lot of last season1 point

One if feel like it’s going to bite us on the arse. If plymouth can get him at reserve they’re on to a winner. Feel he just needs a bit of luck which he’s not had over the last couple of years and he’ll put a point no bother on his average.1 point

Get Vissing Signed........ Scored 13+1 at Berwick for Workington in the Border Trophy. Scored 12 at Berwick for Workington in the Championship. Flies round Glasgow......Plymouth, Edinburgh.........and on a 7.39 Away average for Worky....... Available on a 6.34 average....Surely a no brainer if Schlein declines.1 point

Behind every single successful speedway team that ever existed has been a presence on the British Speedway Forum. This topic sits at 14 pages. Fourteen. One. Four. Glasgow? We’re at 25. Even Berwick are in the twenties. You’re one page ahead of Plymouth and their entire fan base consists of two men and a dog.1 point

Hard to imagine Zagar averaging less than 7 to be honest. Knows the tracks well and will settle down at Birmingham pretty quickly. Always liked him, thought he would go all the way to the very top after seeing his debut season with Trelawny where he was even better than Iversen who Newport signed. From memory averaged nearly 10 in his debut season. Was a class act for Reading too. Hopefully the ambition being showed by Brum works out. Signing Nilsson, Zagar, Thorsell and Tobi as well as Rew wont come cheap but if they do all click then they could be quite a top side.1 point
