  1. It's better late than never. Perhaps you should have re-read you post as well...which is considerably shorter. Stop having a go @TTT, he posted an update (which perhaps he should have read, although it's pretty obvious it's a translation issue), he's now edited it and has been very courteous about it, which is more than can be said of you!

  2. Jesus Christ. Tai is in hospital with serious injuries, and you lot are arguing over a translation. Have a word with yourselves. Get well soon Tai.

  3. There's a further 'update' on Sportowefakty.wp.pl. https://sportowefakty.wp.pl/zuzel/1180927/mamy-najnowsze-informacje-po-koszmarnym-wypadku-w-nocy-zawodnik-trafil-na-sale-o Most importantly - if accurate, hopefully - is this: From well-informed sources, we also know about several broken ribs, a fractured elbow in many places, and fractured vertebrae in the spine. Fortunately, the head and spinal cord were not injured.

  4. Think a lot of inexperienced young riders on rocket ships is big factor in a lot of bad crashes in Poland.Unfortunately.

  5. Beat me to it Steve. British Speedway takes a fair amount of criticism including the state/condition of certain tracks etc but as you say, most of the bad accidents happen in Poland. Chasing the dollar and under pressure to perform on big fast tracks. Also seem to be a lot of inexperienced young riders on rocket ships too eager to mix it.

  6. Some people want to see the crash to process what has happened and move forward, I understand that you don’t and neither do others and that’s fine but others might and that’s fine too, personally I want to see every crash, not because I like it but because it’s how I process it

  7. Oh hello look who’s woken up!! Not a word spoken on the two threads against Ipswich strangely, but after Belle Vue get away with one by scraping past a team who suffered three EF’s whilst on comfortably 5-1’s, you’re on here within seconds giving it the biggun!

  8. @TTT can you post any further updates in Polish please? Don't worry about any of us, but at least one person who thinks he's the forum king will be happy.

  9. Best wishes to Woffy. An absolute hero & has been the rider to drive British Speedway forward. Without him, we wouldn't be winning / reaching finals on the world stage. He's been the driving force to make TeamGB a professional outfit. A True Great British Speedway legend. Hope he & his family get all the support needed 🙏🏻❤️

  10. My thoughts tbh. Nothing to prove to anyone, and with a young family to think about. Good luck in whatever he chooses to do in the future.

  11. Wishing Tai a speedy recovery & his family all the best as he recovers. It’s tragic especially given all the hard work put in to over come his elbow injury. It’s times like this that you realise how fortunate we are to follow this sport as the speedway family forgets club loyalty’s etc & rallies round to support Tai & his family. Get well soon Tai & all the best to Sheffield this year. An Ipswich supporter

  14. The forum is a laughing stock. You can spam and troll your way through threads no problem, you can get the likes of the Poole idiot constantly bumping a four year old Poole thread in the Premiership section to the top just because he can, but call someone a wally and you’ll get immediately suspended for two weeks. I have nothing against Peterborough whatsoever and I’m sympathetic to their plight, but that thread should no longer be in the Premiership section either! A mod doing their job should be locking it, or moving it to general discussions. Otherwise what’s the point in having subsections to this forum? May as well just have one big general section and let anyone post whatever they like.

  16. CLUB STATEMENT: TAI WOFFINDEN AS you are most likely aware, Sheffield racer Tai Woffinden was involved in a crash whilst racing in Poland on Sunday. Whilst we understand the concern for Tai’s health and wellbeing, Sheffield Speedway will not be going into any further detail at this stage. We are in constant communication with his family - who have confirmed that reports in the Polish media have gone out without their permission or approval. Members of Tai’s family will be flying to the hospital later on Monday evening, where he is currently being treated, and will provide the club with a full update as and when they have learned the full facts and when they are comfortable in doing so. Sheffield Speedway once again politely asks supporters not to respond to rumours out of respect to Tai and his family.

  17. It does not mater what team you follow who your favourite rider is hell speedway don't mater in this instant I hope as a fellow man he pulls through this and gets back to his family

  18. FFS...at a time like this who gives a s..t about your opinion.

  19. I think that will be the plan tbh. Gives them time to find a solution. it’s horrible talking about replacing tai while he’s only just got seriously injured but for Sheffield they have to move quick really

  20. I've now edited the article, Let me know if you want me to adjust anymore of it as I'm more than happy to do so. Also I wouldn't recommend anyone to use Google Translate when keeping an eye on Tai's recovery as it's clearly not a good app and it could leave fans fearing the worst.

  21. The Sheffield management will have to address it sooner rather than later. Unfortunately, he will be almost impossible to replace...

  22. Was going to say exactly the same. Through no fault of his own, Hume must be extremely vulnerable now. I always thought Sheffield had far too long a tail. The Holders as heatleaders and Pickering third heatleader is plenty good enough at the top end. If they make two changes then they could actually end up looking a more solid outfit as long as the right riders are available.

  26. Firstly, my very best wishes to Tai who I hope makes a full recovery. Secondly, where on earth are the mods to stop the bickering on this and a number of other threads?

  27. In an accident of no importance which has recently occurred, several insignificant internet forum contributors suffered minor bruises and inflammation of their egos due to having particularly thin skin. On the other hand, Tai Woffinden is made from tough stuff.

  30. I don’t understand all this petty squabbling on a thread where a person is in a serious condition. Surely all thoughts and posts should be channelling positive energy to Tai and his family. Leave the squabbling to once we know the full outcome. Then fill your boots as you always do. Opinion is healthy but picking on people is not.

  31. A COMMUNICATION REGARDING THE HEALTH STATE OF TAI WOFFINDEN GIVEN BY THE PRESS SPOKENER OF THE CLINICAL HOSPITAL NO 2 IN RZEZOW The patient was transported to our hospital by Air Ambulance ok. the hours are 7:00 pm. He was admitted to the hospital with a multisocial injury, numerous fractured limbs and a chest injury. He was operated on by the orthopedic and surgical team until 2:00 a.m. At the moment his condition is stable, mechanically ventilated and remains in a pharmacological coma. He is in the Intensive Care Clinic where he remains under the care of his doctors. Decisions regarding further treatment will be made after further orthopedic consultations.

  32. I would suggest that you should have applied some plain old common sense, instead of going into a self-obsessed rant about a simple translation issue...

  33. How are the other 2 riders?

  34. Fatal has a different meaning in Poland, and obviously when it's translated it's even more stark. It's probably best to edit your post to avoid any alarm when everyone first reads it. The article/update is quite concerning it has to be said. Hopefully Tai can pull through with 'just' broken bones, but the fact they won't be releasing an update is in itself worrying.

  38. Absolutely dreadful crash, yet again the serious ones are always in Poland?? Cant help but feel for Tai, the season hasn’t even really turned many spokes yet. thoughts are with his family.

  40. Breaking News: EU Regulations Force Speedway Bikes to Have Brakes! In a shocking turn of events, the European Union has announced new safety regulations requiring all speedway bikes to be fitted with brakes. The decision, aimed at improving rider safety, has sent shockwaves through the speedway world, where brakeless racing has been a fundamental part of the sport since its inception. The EU Commissioner for Motorsport Safety defended the move, stating: "It's 2025. We can't allow motorcycles to be ridden at high speeds without any means of stopping. It's a matter of public safety, common sense, and European unity." The regulation mandates that all bikes must be fitted with front and rear disc brakes, ABS, and—most controversially—an emergency handbrake system modelled after those found in cars. Riders caught competing without these features will face heavy fines, suspension of their racing licenses, and, in extreme cases, mandatory enrolment in a defensive riding course. The speedway community has reacted with outrage. A former world champion called the move "a disaster for the sport," adding, "Next they'll be making us race in reverse to lower speeds!" Meanwhile, a British Speedway spokesperson was equally unimpressed: "Speedway with brakes? What's next, traffic lights at the start line?", adding, “Even though the UK is no longer in the EU it will have to comply with the new rules to save riders competing with different equipment.” Manufacturers have scrambled to comply, with one company already trialling an experimental system where the brakes are automatically engaged if a rider leans too aggressively into a corner. Reports suggest that initial testing resulted in one rider performing an unexpected front flip over his handlebars. Despite the uproar, the EU remains firm, with the EU Commissioner insisting: "If Formula 1 and MotoGP can have brakes, so can speedway. Riders will just have to adapt!" The first "brake-friendly" speedway event is set to take place soon in Poland once testing is complete, with new bike designs rumoured to feature brake lights, indicators, and even a horn. Critics argue that these changes will ruin the spectacle, but EU officials have assured fans that "it will only make the racing more strategic and pedestrian-friendly." For now, the sport holds its breath (and brakes) as it hurtles toward a slower, safer future.

  44. I expect you’ll see a different Freddy Hodder to the one that Berwick persevered with last season, he seems to have plenty talent just didn’t have the confidence last season unfortunately. Glasgow fans should be expecting to come away from this season with at least one trophy, anything less would be a disappointment given the team they’ve assembled.

  46. Hopefully TW makes a full recovery. Shocking news and a shocking crash. Ridiculous how racers and royals has made his way onto this thread and is acting like he owns the place. Been doing it on the international section for far too long and now seems to think he can come in here and act like the boss. He has always been a bit of a prat. He doesn't like people reporting stuff from Poland before him. Pathetic.

  47. Rowe @ No.6 would be a trump card like Dan Thompson imo. Maybe they'll get a big hitter but I'm just guessing that they won't because Oxford surely would've snapped one up if riders were available instead of running a 1-7 that's way under the points limit.

  48. I will not take back one word of what i said. We all know about what translation problems can occur. If he( or she) can’t be bothered to read what is being posted by them then i suggest they don’t post on here- post on X where anything goes !!
