  1. Hope there is drug testing tonight, Cairns said Poole's one of the best tracks in England on the track walk

  2. I have to agree, cooper rushden and cairns at reserve next season racing there are probably setting their careers back a good couple of years by which time europes best will have been racing on proper racetracks constantly learning their trade on a surface that gives plenty of opportunities to pass

  3. This is the bigger picture. It’s selective boredom by Poole speedway. It’s short-term gain despite the inevitable prospect of long-term loss. I don’t know if they tuned in, but I recommended two Bournemouth based colleagues tune in to this tonight and if they did, they won’t be returning supporters. Why would they? This is boring. Middleditch just called it a ”great speedway meeting”. Stop talking out of your ass, Neil. Who are you trying to persuade? Us or yourself? We are about to enter heat 15, having witness one pass. I won’t stop mentioning that fact because it’s so bad.

  4. Well that was dire to watch. Scorpions may have come bottom of the league, but we have some great racing week in week out.To have a track that is wide with so many racing lines, is a massive plus for passing and entertainment. I'm not saying I like seeing us bottom of the league, on the contrary, but I go to watch to see good racing and feel I've had value for money.

  5. The meeting wasn't great, but it was pretty much as expected. Poole and their track will not be the demise of speedway, nor will the additional ticket cost, nor will something someone said that you disagreed with. There are a few on here who have posted after every race, posting every thought, every negative they can muster. What a life.

  6. Poole fans will love it and call it a great meeting no doubt That was pure farcical speedway watching riders like Harris and Flint and Nagel try so hard and the track has zero lines at all Doctored track and maybe you understand why … but that’s not speedway that was diabolical I await the usual Poole brigade No wonder why the sport is dying Come on Glasgow for the good of speedway go and win that title

  7. I only caught the last 4 and that was enough for me. Hope the tigers put them lot to the sword on Friday for that debacle tonight. How can you pass that off as “Entertainment”

  8. Nice gesture by Redcar.

  9. Hopefully the Tigers can keep it tight tonight and they don’t get distracted by the southern softies gamesmanship. Brown’s moaning after the last meeting is still embarrassing for any Glaswegian. Should have been dealt with in a more traditional manner. Newton’s third law. A lot will depend on Harris, Nagel and Dan tonight. Someone mentioned Lawson and Tobi “sorting Nagel out” in heat one, that could be interesting. Nagel is not scared to mix it, his heat 15 against Charles Wright proved that. He may be tentative on a new track though. CT being the ref could be an interesting. Despite some Poole fans saying that Glasgow are favourites for the match (incredibly sh1te patter) we all know it’s Poole’s to lose. They are on a hot streak and have the mentality that is required. Hopefully Glasgow can find that resilience and fight the good fight.we have done it before. Any truth in the rumour that there will be drug and fuel testing tonight?

  10. I paid £15 for this tonight and it’s possible I’ve never felt so robbed in all my life watching speedway, and for middlo to say that was a great meeting tells everyone that the sport is now beyond saving if people like him are at the forefront of the sport, Poole fans need to stop buying their heads in the deep sand on the local beaches and realise they are killing the sport, try bringing anybody new to watch that and you have lost them straight away, I don’t care what the score was because I don’t support either team just enjoy my sport but if you want to be entertained do not step foot into Poole stadium because on this evidence you might have well throw your money into the harbour

  11. If the Poole fans enjoy watching that, On a Slick track, no wonder away teams find it hard Entertainment value ZILCH.

  12. Nine heats, one pass due to a mechanical problem. One day, we won’t have our wonderful sport any more and tracks like this will be a catalyst to that.

  14. Well the Poole supporters will be only moderately happy with that ....... winners of Mastermind 15 heats and no passes 🙂 They have the sort of crowd who think anything less than a 30 point win at home is a poor performance and will start slagging off their own riders 🙂 These visiting teams must know by now that to win at these slick tracks you have to learn to GATE GATE GATE. Poor show from Glasgow who should have known what to expect. With a threat of torrential rain in the forecast , the poole promotion would have taken a lot of dirt off and packed it down hard to avoid a costly postponement. A large crowd in paying £2 over the odds for a 15 heat meeting.... a rain off would have been a disaster. Luckily the forecast rain didnt arrive and the meeting was done and dusted by 9.30.

  15. I tend to go to Poole once or twice a season, as a neutral, having had a day at Studland Bay first. As a neutral I am not a fan of how Poole set up the track now and I don't really enjoy the racing. However, the Poole promotion give the fans a successful team nearly every year, the crowds are good and they seem happy with the racing. And by all accounts it is profitable. In many sports the same argument applies about entertainment. I suspect most supporters in most sports want their team to win first and foremost, and if it is entertaining that's a bonus. Speedway is a bit different because there are so many of us who have lost our own teams, watch as neutrals and want entertaining races with loads of passing. I'm looking forward to the Glasgow leg because I think the racing will be much better and entertaining, but I understand Poole's approach.

  16. Well said, Chris Harris. ”The track’s diabolical. Worst it’s ever been. Gate and go”. That, coming from arguably the UK’s most exciting post-millennium rider. What an utter shame and farce.

  17. Best comparison is Drew Kemp: Turned 16 in August 2018, and 11 days later scored 12+2 @ Scunthorpe. Ended season with 4.65 average ... and we all know how little critisism he receives these days!!

  20. Let's get back to the main thread. The topic is Poole V Glasgow. Kevin and Jan are going to Poole on Wednesday, travelling from Somerset. Then up to Glasgow to see the best fans we have met and then to Redcar. Then down to Poole before heading back to Somerset. Hope to see lbw in our travels.

  21. I sure a few Clubs would like too “washed up” as financially as Poole. One question you have ask is how come the Opposition can’t “Gate and Go” that’s the 3rd time Glasgow have been there this season.🤔🤔

  22. All very true and well articulated. But the track was always going to be this way so if Glasgow didn't set up for better gating then I really don't understand why. Or maybe they were just outgated a little bit on the night? On the flip side these Glasgow boys can be wild at Ashfield and if you tell me Flint and Nagel are in double figures I wouldn't be surprised at all. A joy to watch at times.

  23. It has to be better than tonight. I feel doubly robbed. I paid 19.99 for what I thought were the 2 legs of he final. Only to discover that I had to pay another 9.99 to watch tonight. What was my 19.99 for? BSN need to come clean about what people are paying for. In any event the track was awful, and despite there being a good chance of better racing at Glasgow I feel well and truly ripped off by some underhand marketing. Quite apart from only being able to watch on my iPad, with only sound on my Sky Q box. Really p****d off and BSN have to make amends before I open my wallet again.

  25. Poole fans are fans who don’t care about the sport at all it’s a win at all cost mentality Poole have good crowds because they are winning … Poole in the 80’s was close to closing down the fans didn’t turn up because they were not winning … glory hunters Ipswich won the league and Louis thanked the fans who are the biggest supported club in the UK for sticking by them over 27 years Poole fans would never do that Over the years Poole have had entertainers like Loram Nicholls and Ward but have given all that up just to have zero entertainment…. And the manager is the biggest idiot of them all

  26. Bomber calling the track diabolical think he is being kind. Same for both teams though and we are not adapting quickly enough.

  27. Glasgow prep their track for their riders as well, anyone who think otherwise doesn’t have a clue. Track was prepped different each time we were there this season.

  28. The final has f all to do with it, Poole have cheated speedway fans for years with a dire track.

  29. You’re fighting a strange fight here. It’s heat eight of the play-off final and we’ve had one pass; Hodder passing Starke because he had engine troubles. Why are you trying to defend it or deflect from it?

  32. Fair is fair, so for the purpose of consistency, we’ve just got a 5-1 and the most exciting thing was that we were in that position. Rowe had zero chance. ZERO. You will not pass.

  33. Truly beautiful to watch the track preparation completely back fire when your own riders cannot get by the away riders.😂😂

  34. Poole have built their team with gaters and you can’t blame them Nobody can do anything at this track it’s appalling I hope for the sake of his career Rushen decides to race elsewhere Cairns stuck behind Perry shows you all you need to know

  37. Yep I'll be at Poole, Glasgow, Redcar, Poole supporting the Boyzzz ☠️ 💪 C'MON THE BOYZZZ ☠️ 💪 All hotels and trains booked in with a lovely dinner awaiting me at the Isaac Wilson 😀 I must admit I don't understand all the talk about Nagel. Ok he scores a few points but so what coz when Richard and Tobi sort him out in heat 1 he will be too frazzled to score any more 😀 It's going to be an amazing Grand Final 🏆 against Glasgow and I'm looking forward to it. It will be tough but I don't see why we PIRATES can't win especially avin witnessed the added focus and determination shown by the Boyzzz in the last few meetings, the business end. C'mon the Boyzzz ☠️ 💪
