Quiet night tonight for Bradley Wilson Harris.

Doesn't William Lawson normally ride Newcastle well? Could do a job at reserve although I think Newcastle's main concerns are further up the riding order i.e a number 1.

Watched the stream and thought Congreve's race pace was ok but he is woeful out of the start. His race is over by the 1st bend due to his trapping. If he can sort that out he may have a chance of making it.

Well not in GB anyway but I live in hope.

Doesn't make it right. Sometimes it's just a lack of effort in searching for a new rider. Also no doubt comes down to cost. Cheaper to pay a guest already in GB than say bringing over a new Dane. Does nothing for the credibility of the sport at all though.

Thought Riss would have been excluded in the Gilkes clash. Ref got it wong. Thought Harris beat Ker to the line line but it was difficult to see from the head on camera angle. Not sure. Harris clearly took Gilkes off on turn one. The Redcar riders weren't involved so shouldn't have been punished. The ref could have took the easy option with first bend bunching but it wasn't the Redcar riders fault. Ref got it right.

It's a shame Newcastle couldn't see fit to host Robbo's meeting with him being a Diamonds legend. He only had 1 stunted season at Redcar (and a short spell at Middlesbrough) but he has been a great servant to the sport and deserves his farewell meeting regardless.

I think they will struggle AT Brough Park!

Maybe the Eastbourne promotion/team aren't allowed to use the stadium due to outstanding rent issues. Therefore they can't rally the public to turn out in numbers like Newcastle and Birmingham did.

Goret must be on borrowed time. Is he a really bad trapper or was he missing the gate on purpose in the GP qualifying meeting at Glasgow last weekend? He looked poor.
