  1. Expecting an away win but I seem to recall Birmingham getting a win against Belle Vue last season was it against the odds so maybe not a total forgone conclusion.
  2. Seeing as I was there I can confirm most witches we’re trying the inside line for sure!
  3. It was dry, there was the usual grading breaks - there was some overtaking - early on but yes if you were competant and got out in front you should have stayed there.
  4. The reality is the Witches should have still won this the fact they didn't is largely down to a bad night for TomB and also the fact that Emil still isn't riding to the level expected, if he doesn't gate he doesn't seem to gave the speed to get past. He ran a 0 in heat 13 off gate 4, which perhaps can happen, but he struggled in both heats 1 and heat 7 but he did eventually pass Howarth. The Witches scored 5+1 from the R/R and I am convinced Dan T would have in all probability got more than 2+1. Although Danyon tried hard. It was a classic sign of something wrong in heat 14 the Witches emerged from bend 1 on a 5-1 - Kemp fell and remounted - but Howarth managed to pass both Brennan and then Hume who was leading on the 3rd lap (was it/) which to me sealed the Witches fate. The fact is that shouldn't have happened. Leicester were compact and if you are a home rider they provided far too many heat winners 8 in total every rider but Joe T scored at least a win for them oddly every rider but Danyon got a least a win for the Witches. Becker always does pretty well at Foxhall but tonight he was very good. I thought King rode pretty well - but was well adrift in heat 15, had Tom been on form he would have probably ridden heat 15 instead.
  5. I always felt he has under achieved in his career thus far - despite the obvious bit of leicester winning being a bit of a blow for the Witches - its good to see both him and Rowe having good seasons.
  6. What you can’t legislate for is Kemp having a stormer 😜
  7. I think narrow away win but the league needs a home win!
  8. My second visit of the season to Foxhall and the Witches are already 2 riders down!! Agree that this should be a Witches win but they are weaker for sure and Leicester are possibly the strongest visitors to Foxhall so far in 2025! Hoping for a good meeting anyway and welcome back Danyon!
  9. regardless it wa s still a decent ride by Howarth as he had Kurtz up his inside and almost through on more than one occasion!
  10. He wasn't setting the world alight before! But maybe you are right
  11. Zagar is just a waste of time - he was poor at Owlerton save one ride where he gated a stayed out. With MJJ gone Birmingham really are struggling. Good to see Tobi gettign a decent score. Witches managed a fairly routine with without two of their most effective riders Dan and Jason - speedy recoveries to both!
  12. Some really enjoyable heats last night - the pick for me was actually Kyle Howart keeping Kurtz in 4th in heat 10 a really good intelligent ride. Credit Leicester they gave it a go in the end as expected BV just too strong at home.
  13. Yes indeed don't think I argued otherwise - however there is and are a large number of people who seem to like complaining for complaining sake, and that shouldn't be assumed to be relevant to this particular conversation or thread.
  14. One of things I have come across particulary on football forums is just how truly miserable so many fans of their clubs are - I recall my side playing at Barnsley a few years ago and won 2-0 - the whining from the Barnsly fans online after was truly epic it really was. Apparently my side started time wasting from the moment they scored in the fourth minute and despite Barnsley being awarded a penalty which they missed - we cheated our way to the win! I also recall the bank holiday fixtures of Ipswich V Arena and then down the A12 for the evening - great days out actually - yes the racing particulary in the lunchtime / early PM match wasn't great but then again I've also paid to money to see some truly terrible football matches in the premiership. That's the gamble with live sport
  15. yep no trophies being lifted now, based on tonight tho BV will need to up their game away from the NSS.
  16. Somewhat of a walloping this - Belle Vue need to be better - Kurtz was pretty woeful as he can be here. Tigers really have hit the right formula with both Rowe and Flint finally showing what they can do! Not often Chris is the lowest scorer either!
  17. Jesus H any chance of discussing the actual meeting! - Aces clearly need to improve they just squeezed past the Tigers and they looked poor away tonight at Owlerton
  18. Just watched the heat 15 ride for Tobi - good ride and pleased to see him getting back to the form we know he is capable of, if Brum are to have any success this year a decent no 1 is critical! MJJ needed to offer more in the latter hears on paper he is just as good as Fricke / Masters etc so he should be looking to beat them particulary after his Foxhall performance last week. I think Zagar is gone but lets see. Another good score from Rew - I personally would be pleased to see him back at Ipswich - i suspect this years 7 won't be all back in 2026!!😉
  19. A bit like the match at Foxhall last week this was over by heat 3 - very good showing from Kings Lynn but the Spires just look a bit of a mess right now, Good to see Janowski improving however he was about the only bright spot for Oxford last night. It seems maybe its a 5 way fight for the playoffs maybe!
