Well I gave up to watch something else after heat 13 - however up until heat 7 I was actually quite enjoying it as I said earlier there was some early heat passing and Oxford were keeping it close.

Should have been an away win! Well done Lynn looking forward to Thursday now at Foxhall - The Witches need to win well to get this poor result out of their system!

I enjoyed it until about heat 8-9 then depending on how you view it Oxford collapsed / Sheffield woke up (aided by Rowes withdrawal) - at that point it became dull.

all manner of things but if he's been admitted to hospital as the preview says then it might well be more worrying than us just assuming he is ducking the meeting I play football with a guy who in his late 30s was complaining his heart rate in the recent heat was too high in the middle of a match it was about 160 - i said to him that 220bpm less 10 per decade over 20 is the max rate - so a man in his late 30s should be capable (if they are fit) of about 190

Expect an away win now but feel Lynn will run them close, be intresting to see how Danny King performs he's been really good of late and his confidence must be high!

I feel there is something in this for the last few years everytime KL start to get a bit of momentum something happens and they take a step back again - often from wehre I am it seems a self inflicted a lot of the time! Interesting that Tobias despite riding for the bottom club this season appears to be giving it his full focus etc, Pickering the same at Sheffield etc.

Well in the years I went 87-91 Tatum won it x 2 and was runner up x2. However these were showcase meetings in front of a packed out Brandon - not sure if thats what you might say is racking up the titles but the home rider was certainly a finalist 100% of the 4 times I went! Wherever you hold finals you will get this, I recall when Sheffield hosted the riders chanmpionship if Asworth or Compton got the title ebveryone said oh its home track advantage - its the way it is!

Maybe but equally giving him an extra start where he runs a last might set him back - I think he is making progress - last season hed have been maybe scoring just a single point! There is no doubt the lad can gate pretty well but he got passed in one ride and the same could have happened in heat 12 as he was up against Harris and Cook.

if only the promotion knew where to find one......... Well I quite enjoyed that some decent races normally involing Chris Harris, Richard Lawson and Kyle Howarth - the scoreline flattered Leicester a tad maybe - if KL just had Klindt it might have been a lot more interesting.

indeed but i rather suspect the dicking was assuming a full strength Tigers - lets hope nothing seriously wrong with Holder Jnr. irrespective of joking about injuries etc if one of your kids is ill - you'd certainly be taking time off work for it! In fact I had to do it a couple of times myself years back!

with apologies to Brummies supporters everywhere - i think most of us knew this already!!!

I think also that what people don't get is midlands traffic can be horrendous, you can't just pop down the road. from say Wolves to Perry Barr, its going to be at least an hour in Monday rush hour traffic even though it s less than 20 miles!! - There are two cities in the UK I hate driving in they both begin with B - one is Bristol and the other is Birmingham! I live in Sheffield and don't go that often if Sheffield closed I could get the either BV or Scunny but the prospect of a 1 hr journey each time would mean it would be an occasional visit at the most! That doesn't mean I still don't enjoy streams and watching on the TV, or having an opinion on what happens. In 2022 or maybe 2023 (Wolves last season) I saw a guy who was clearly a Wolves supporter at the tram stop at Hillsborough corner - clearly on his way back to Sheffield station for a train back to Wolverhamnpton area - I recall thinkling fair play - you won't be home until Midnight! Whilst this is true what is the issue? - perhaps part of it is the Brummies closing in the mid 80s and not re-opening until the mid 2000's. That 20 year gap may have lost a lot of following. I'd say BIrmingham has the larger potential audience than Sheffield (500K) and the crowds at Owlerton are decent prob 2k or so - more when Belle Vue or Leicester are in town. Similar to the Netball - Basketball in the UK - I used to take my lad and a couple of his mates to Sharks (Sheffield) games the sport was I suspect semi pro / part time but attracted a good loyal regular following prob about 700-1k per match. I haven't been for a few years so no idea what the crowds are like now.
