  1. Quite another friend took 2 of his three sons to Wembley yesterday, I shudder to think how much that all cost!
  2. A friend of mine who is a season ticket holdert at Owlerton with his son - they took an extra 3 along last week to the Kings Lynn match as it was only £1 so the offers possibly do work.
  3. Well I for one will be gutted - used to enjoy going there in the late 80s we holidayed in Shropshire for 2-3 years and my old man took me to both Wolves and Cradley - losing Cradley was bad and losing Wolves would be just as bad - I remember a Wolves Cradley 45-45 draw in 1989 I think it was - one of the very best meetings I ever saw!
  4. Well I enjoyed that - slightly mystified that the adverts break just shows replays - also some odd gaps in the presentation but otherwise for a neutral it was an enjoyable close meeting - well done both sides I like them showing the odd races from Peterborough as well - and Scott was a decent expert in residence with his analysis.
  5. Wasn't at this one but will be there 1st June - Good night for Danyon again, seems that meetings are the same as last year - lots of narrow home wins seem to be the order of the day - a different style of team building doesn't appear to have affected that outcome!
  6. Apart from the season he had at Peterborough and then a couple at Lakeside (but yes he was a Wolves man through and through really!) Great rider and great guy too - he was very popular down at Arena
  7. He rode a lot of tracks well, IMHO a very under-rated rider - always good at Owlerton and of course who couldnt forget his fantastic last bend pass on TRick in 2000 British GP at Coventry!!
  8. pretty much - i watched it and could see that just prior to the tapes moving Masters was still the moment the tapes move he is off - had he moved a split second later he'd probably have missed the start thats how 'perfect it was'
  9. having watched it about 3 times now _ i do think he may have just got that timing spot on actually!
  10. if you get in the play offs (which I think you will) you have every chance - you could get a fair few BP's for the aggregate score this year! But lets see early days yet the table is a bitskewed for you guys as you have had home matches and 2 away!
  11. I only saw it once - it was either absolutely perfect timing or he got an absolute flier - my initial instinct was he's got a flyer there! He was a bike length ahead after about 1 yard! however in the interests of balance and fairness i am going to watch it again if they include it on theavailable download on discovery+
  12. Thats good the crowd was OK, I know Ipswich used to suffer terribly when the sky lot were in town years back - I have never yet been present at a TV meeting but th delays and everything make its seem like its not worth it - at least at football / Rugby matches they have to keep to time.
  13. This 100% when I attended a meeting I usually watch from a fixed point - the constant camera changing drives me nuts!
  14. Certainly his best days are behind him, however at the start of the season he was scoring wise your top rider! He does appear to have dipped in recent meetings however. First the first time this season last night you had the benefit of a proper No 1 and it showed!
  15. how was the crowd to normal? - in the old days sky meetings were notorious form ruining the crowd - that coupled with seriopus in meeting delays cant be great for fans on the night. It looked fairly decent - one of the mpre embarrasing things is seeing minimal amounts of spectators for a TV match.
  16. Thanks for that explanation - very helpful summary!
  17. A couple of good races mainly when Fricke or Bomber failed to gate - meeting not heped by Sheffield simply not being very good tonight - its all very well saying oh they should have gone to Monmore Green but on paper you would have expected the Tigers to run them far closer then they did. I am glad I ditched SKY however and now just paid for Discovery+ at 6.99 per month so can't even whine about the costs! I can now maybe do a few BSN meetings too
  18. Have to say I thought he got a right flyer there! Was half expecting it to be recalled - Wolves strong at home this year for sure. feel this was lost and won at reserve tonight!
  19. I rather suspect some of them don't even know themselves! At least they are off the mark tonight!
  20. thats was me i think! yes he played a blinder in one
  21. Top riders tend to ride well anywhere but might take a heat to get fully familar. I know in the old days a fair few supposed top riders would whine about Arena - but the really top riders would come and score massively there!
  22. Witches won twice (is that right?) at Monmore last year and traditionaly tend to do ok there from memory, I think a narrow home win 46-44 maybe for this one!
  23. Moore’s a great manager actually - the idiot who attacked the Lineo needs life ban as well
  24. When I played Saturday football it was 30 seconds added in per goal - that’s 3 minutes for staters for the 6 goals. I think it was also the same for subs being introduced. most, as usual. are forgetting the board indicated a MINIMUM amount of time to added on - for those slow at the back that’s a a MINIMUM amount of time! If it says 6 minutes that’s the very minimum the ref needs to add on the rest is entirely at his discretion as he and he alone controls that game. for the record footballing wise I couldn’t give a monkies about either side - but at least understand the rules properly and all footballers know this stuff as it’s drummed into them - fans is another matter of course
