Who is likely to be no1? I'm guessing Steve has the highest average. Shame to split up the partnership with Stef. Unless you put him at no2? But then Basso or one of the current reserves (if their average is high enough to go into the top 5) will be at 4 and that will be tough for them.

If the forecast is torrential rain then yes call it off. But if it is a bit hit and miss then they should wait at least til it is raining significantly before calling it off in an ideal world. However I don't own a speedway club so it isn't my money or decision. However Leicester are going to have a few fixtures to fit in during Autumn. Let's hope for an indian summer!

I think it also happened when Poole were at Oxford when they had Hancock and Fisher in the team (but it may have been at Poole tbh) and practice laps were done. I remember Greg doing the lap for Oxford but not sure who did it for Poole. I'm pretty sure it went ahead but can't remember 100%. I think a rider from each team did 4 laps each. Also good for telling the track staff if any more work needs to be done on the track or if enough has been done.

Oh, I don't remember him. What year would that have been? I was thinking more Sam Ermolenko, Greg and Billy, Janniro, Fisher, Wells etc. Even though 3 of them never rode for Poole they all seemed to score well. Edit - aarggh and Luke Becker of course! 16 points at reserve when he came with Wolves in 2019. How could I forget that!

I'm sure he'll be aiming to get 2 league titles as a farewell present!!

When they mention thunderstorms it never seems to rain. Well that's what it's like down here anyway! Thursday forecast was rain (dry all day) Friday forecast cloudy but dry (raining on and off all day.) Today big band of rain over the South (one light shower). Personally I would never listen to a weather forecast 100%. But then I don't own a speedway club!

Not sure they'd go for that! How much would be lost through admission, programme and food/bar sales??!

If only, I've been plenty this year. Being in the Champ does that or you miss seeing certain opposition teams. Bit different to the Prem when we used to see a team up to 4 times at home (Swindon).

Cook's injury probably played on his mind and can't blame him for that especially when he just came back 2 days ago. Is Redcar a track Rory normally struggles at (I know every rider has one!) Or maybe just an off night?

Can't get much closer than that! I feel like we threw it away, being 8 points up from home and losing. But will wait to see what the Redcar fans say as maybe they were just better in the end!

Hmm, but I would have thought as a ref you would be more persuaded by the home team as they ride there every week. However the ref might already have an idea in their mind when the track is not fit to ride. Do you know who the ref was?

Unless they want to test someone out for next season? But most riders on a near 9 point average will already have a club. Also might get a few more people in the gate if they changed it? Harsh on whoever makes way though.
