Agree. I used to love interviewing Kake for the GRT Media DVD's, his smile made you want to smile! Used to talk a lot of sense, unlike some who hardly gave you a proper answer to the question (used to try and avoid those!).

Oh, the irony.... !!!

What would have happened (to the Comets) if the promotion had refused to go in the Championship, especially when we know that there is now an NDL in 2024? And, was there any compensation given to them for the extra costs incurred from moving up before they really wanted to?

Slightly harsh on Archie, if I may say so. as he's only had two seasons (2021 & 2022) as he missed all last season through injury.

You might like to get your hearing tested then (no offence!).

Unless it's top riders in the individual meetings (like the Championship Riders Championship etc), fans don't seem interested (and haven't for a while now), so how that would work would be a worry. For instance I felt really sorry for Stuart Robson, as his Farewell Meeting was poorly attended and, for a servant to British Speedway, I thought he deserved better than that.

Doesn't necessarily mean it's less exciting/entertaining, though.

I think they are in it for the "long term," so I don't think they will be going anywhere soon (just my opinion, I could be wrong).

Using the Prem Lge footballer analogy, it's a bit like a former PL footballer wanting to play for a Lge Two side and not being able to because he once reached a much higher standard.

They could organise the fixtures to only ride when the footy team are away early in the speedway season (March, April and up to mid-May), then they only have to worry about August & September (the start of the 2024-25 footy season), but their season could almost be over at that point.
