  1. Garry has possibly (although I don't know) decided to put all his efforts into the GK Racing merchandise/Racing equipment venture, rather than get involved with one club or the youth set up. Who knows, it may be something he can get involved with in the future? Whatever his decisions are, I hope he makes a success out of it. He deserves it after all he's been through, and a top bloke too.
  2. I saw the beginnings of his career too, at Newcastle, and you could see the potential of being a class act even then.
  3. Agreed. The Garry Stead interview is excellent.
  4. Let's hope it's a step in the right direction...........
  5. The thing about the 'Speedway Star' is it has never really been that kind of Mag. Perhaps that was more the 'Speedway Mail's' agenda? (I don't know as I am too young to remember!). Whether the 'Star' should change tack, is a different argument altogether. It might put people off buying it (not saying it would or wouldn't) as people might only want the reporting of meetings and scores/scorers with the usual interviews/articles type mag., as it is now.
  6. Have you got Saturdays Lottery numbers please?
  7. It's OK applying for 2-3 year Visas, but what about the Aussie riders who come over in the first year and turn out to be 'flops'? What would happen then?
  8. Let's hope the doubters and knockers will apologise and then dissapear whimpering, like a whimpering thing........ And TWK will enjoy watching live speedway on Sky.... Despite not being against it being shown per se......
  9. Here it is! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nsKQIihffE8
  10. Good plan. I just hope that, if (and let's hope it doesn't happen) a team are 10 down, use a tac ride, and go on to beat the Diamonds (yes, I know it's highly unlikely! ), you won't come on the Forum, jumping up and down and complain about it (despite what you say in the last part of your post!!!)
  11. I think Superteams is included on the link as the athletes who took part in it are in italics (according to the bit at the top!).
  12. I don't remember BP on it, I have to say. I'm only saying that he's not on the list! whether the list is right or not, I have no idea.
  13. Not according to the full list of athletes to appear on it, he wasn't. (See post #40)
  14. Anders Michanek was on Superstars too. //www.thesuperstars.org/athletes/michanek.html Every competitor here:http://www.thesuperstars.org/athletes/athletes.html
  15. It would effect the viewing figures, for starters (obviously you alone wouldn't effect it drastically, but if more people were against it, it would). I just can't see the logic of being against something, but still watching it! It's like saying you are against Bullfighting, but watching it, if it was broadcast on Sky!
  16. Hang on...... You are against the coverage.... But will still vindicate it, by watching it??? How does that work??? Surely if you're against it you should boycot it by not watching it???
  17. PC was on the 28 Jan 1980 Episode (according to IMdb).
  18. It's bound to be one of those minority sports that no one has ever heard of.....
  19. Didn't help Newcastle much either (although, in the end, Adam McKinna in for Ludvig Lindgren had no bearing on the result, but it could have done).
  20. The Pits Marshall and I say this just about every Sunday!
  21. Why Monday nights?? I seem to remember live meeetings on a Tuesday and a Wednesday on Sky last season.
