  1. Obviously a log of justifiable criticism of the track but it it hadnt been so bumpy Bomber would never have won, he loves a challenge! As a Poole fan Lindback winning was another highlight especially as I had a decent bet on him. Criticism of the hotels is justified also but you didn't have to stay in Cardiff, we hardly ever did preferring to stay outside Cardiff and get a train in.
  2. Part of the enjoyment was the whole city seemed to embrace it and people were talking about it everywhere you went. Also you could guarantee it would be on although the drainage and facilities at the NSS seem to be so good the meetings there are rarely affected.
  3. I went to every Cardiff gp too and I miss it very much. It was an occasion and a big event, now it is great racing on a great racetrack but a lot less people see it live.
  4. Stayed at Bridgend a few times and Porthcawl caravan site both not far on the train. Never understood why people stayed in Cardiff and paid crazy prices for hotels. Like you quid over the years especially when Bomber won.
  5. Cardiff was a great occasion and the last gp held there was pretty good racing wise, the year before was awful though and that is probably what killed it although I thought they pulled the plug too soon. Nothing wrong with transport, plenty of trains and buses. You didn't have to book an expensive hotel, we always stayed locally, last time was Caerphilly 30 mins on the train.
  6. Yes every opportunity is taken to kick us, even when it is not our fault. It is fair to say sometimes we bring on ourselves though!
  7. Ah so you are the Poole of the premiership!!
  8. I am sure he will be in the championship next season, his average will level out when he is in main body of the team.
  9. He needs to lower it a bit or he won't get a team place next season!!
  10. Surely it will be called off due to the threat of rain.
  11. It may not have needed to be rushed through or only get to heat 10, if the rain did not start until 8.30, the rain at that point may have only been enough to damp the dust down, in my experience the Kings Lynn track has always been able to take a bit of water.
  12. Could of been hurried through because of rain threat.
  13. Well done Kings Lynn for the early call, torrential rain due very soon.
  14. Oh I thought he was talking about himself!
  15. Yes maybe lack of experience too. Probably should have put Will in heat 14.
  16. So Bowes may have got 2 last night which would not have been much different to Tate but we would have expected more from Zischke given he got 9 last time. Harris got 13 the last time he was at Edinburgh and Dan T got 11, so he outscored Dan T on his own track, maybe last night the track didn't suit Harris, no idea why he gets 13 one month and 6 the next.
  17. Could of been worse if Coopers bike didnt break down when leading
  18. The 2004 World cup final was incredible just a shame we lost! Sport is about winning though and while many would have gone home saying we lost but a cracking meeting, a large section would have been gutted we didn't win. Unfortunately some of the most entertaining venues in this country have been lost.
  19. Not sure speedway lives and dies on entertainment, if you dont win the crowds soon dwindle. That said there must have some entertainment last night for you Harris got 15 points. There have been many, what you would call entertaining tracks, that are sadly not here anymore, they did not close because there were not entertaining.
  20. Facetious? Lopsided again? Nobody said that last year when we could probably should have lost to Glasgow or got beat by Redcar in the BSN final.
  21. So you want a rule just to stop Poole winning! The riders wanted to come to Poole and the fans are grateful that we can see two up and coming stars every week. Another team could have signed them but they didn't.
  22. That is why I said not quite, I would imagine Cooper's average will be above Will's by the end of the season and both will be in the main body of the team so points will be harder to come by and Cairns average was nearly 4 by the end of last season.
  23. Yes true and the majority went home happy, always good to beat Glasgow however poor they are at the moment. Luke Harrison was not a terrible guest, Flint did ok and Harris was good but overall not a good team, they will have to get Mario on his bike he uses abroad.
