Poole vs Glasgow KOC SF 1st leg 27/08/25
foreverblue replied to LisaColette's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I think most would see this as a rant of someone whose team lost and trying to make excuses why they lost. Glasgow do not have a stream so most of us will not be able to see the meeting and comment on how amazing it is, plenty of dirt on the track, passing on every bend etc. -

Most clubs could not afford to help Workington. -

Richard Lawson paid 14 at Kings Lynn tonight ,wow what a season he is having. -

We are not in the Premiership for financial reasons and I do not think Glasgow can accuse anyone of win at all costs considering how much money they seem throw at it and can afford to get someone like Nagel and at the same time help Workington out. -

Brown said: “It was hugely frustrating to say the least. “I spoke to Christina on several occasions. Every decision went against us. I made my feelings clear. “There were four poor decisions. Dayle Wood was clearly taken down by Tobias Thomsen in Heat 6. “Richard Lawson went down on his own in Heat 10 after he missed the start but was allowed in the re-run. Fraser Bowes was knocked off by Paul Starke in Heat 11 and Leon Flint clearly knocked off by Zach Cook in Heat 14. “Every time this happened, Poole got a heat advantage in the re-run. -

Yes agreed but I think Flint tried to cut back and Zach was already there but the evidence is inconclusive. To be fair it probably could have gone either way. -

I think we should be ok whether Nagel is there or not but obviously easier if he was not there. We will definitely need Lewi to sort his machinery, can't believe it, about time he got it sorted, nobody has as many issues as he does with his bike. Anders was poor too after some better performances lately, he seemed to bottle it a bit in a couple of his rides which is not like him at all. -

Well it looked like Zach came under him and Leon tried to cut back but Cook was already there. If Leon is correct about Cook's deflector catching Flint then that shows Zach was in front at the time. -

You could probably say that about most meetings, not a fan of Turnbull but no obvious mistakes from her in my opinion. -

Yes bad luck there, Flint lifted quite a bit going in to bend 3 and Zach shot past him, there was a big gap with Leon on the outside of the track, i think it unsettled him and he fell. -

With Nagel they could do it, Bowes was poor tonight. Dayle Wood did better than expected. -

I think he is trying to say it was prepared differently to suit the home team, there certainly didn't seem much dirt on it. Harris usually loves our track whatever the conditions. -

Well he is 7th up to now in the current GP series which is probably his best but he looks practically unbeatable at Leicester, he is definitely one of very few who seem to be able to make a genuine pass there on a regular basis -

He was good for Belle Vue but this is his best ever season in my view. -

Yes we did struggle at Workington . I think we will win but may lose on aggregate. -

You would not have won with Brady, Peterborough were much stronger then and Brady wasn't the rider he is now.
