GP line-up and venues for 2026
foreverblue replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
You dont need a taxi, there is a train. -
I was thinking Jeppersen as a Bandit, maybe Jeppersen to Workington then. I was very impressed when he guested for Poole.
-
Would have thought Kildemand to Workington.
-
Seems the only option.
-
He was at oxford when we were there too.
-
And unfortunately the SGP2 was even worse that year, track kept breaking up, they even closed the roof to keep the heat out, unbelievable really for the UK but the next year which was very poorly attended it was much better and I thought a decent meeting. Having it in Manchester does not have the same appeal and it is a shame the sport does not seem to be able to support a larger venue more in keeping with what the event should be in this country.
-
Cant be us can it when Denmark is wednesdays.
-
His average would decrease, he is on the way down, his attitude is awful, cant believe anyone would even suggest it.
-
I do not see why Anders would not be back and I have faith the team assembled will be good enough to challenge for honours. We could go down a route of strength in depth and not need a rider over 6 to fill the void.
-
So in your opinion we are stuffed! Even without Zach we are definitely not stuffed. We will, as usual assemble a team capable of league success.
-
If Anders is not staying and no idea really why he wouldnt be because he had a good season and if Zach is still going then we have to get Nick Morris or at least someone who can maintain their current average which isn't Batch or Worrall.
-
Not Batch thank you, if Zach can be encouraged to stay that would be a massive result for us.
-
Not very attractive to sign a rider on the way down.
-
He would be an awful signing.
-
Well it isnt top class if it keeps breaking down, he has had some good meetings and seems to love Redcar but he has had some pretty awful ones too which we were told was bike issues.
-
Worrall!! You must be joking.
-
Despite my misgivings about Kerr I think with his average it would be foolish to let him go elsewhere also love to have Nick Morris in the team but I doubt that will happen.
-
I agree Cardiff was special and the event of the year even with the diminishing numbers which was sad but I felt they cancelled it a year too early as I felt the crowd was lower because the previous years racing was very poor, the last year at Cardiff the racing was better so I think that would have generated a better attendance this year but its all too late now and we either go to Manchester or not bother, having been to every Cardiff GP, I decided to give Belle Vue a miss. I expect it will revert to one GP in the UK in 2026.
-
I dont honestly think many teams feared us this year, Glasgow were the team to beat especially after signing Nagel. It looks like Plymouth will be stronger which is good for them and the Championship.
-
Not much different I would say. So its a bit of a no brainer, it is almost certainly more profitable in the Championship.
-
No I doubt it, Nicholls has not ridden Premiership for years only as a guest. Ipswich would be favourite to sign him if he wanted to ride both.
-
Gilkes would be a good signing at reserve but has he fully covered from his injuries and ready to go?
-
Not completely sure about these two year deals, considering a team can get rid of a rider mid season if he is not performing well how can a two year deal be totally binding? Of course we all expect them to be back and there is no reason why they would not be but surely we cannot be completely certain. I like Anders and in my opinion has the ability to go a long way in the sport, I hope he is back in the team but I can not see how it can be definitely nailed on.

Matt Ford loves speedway but as a businessman also wants us to make a profit, shocking!!
-
I would stop using predictive if I was you!!
