I was pessimistic too especially with Rorys shoulder injury and Harris guesting but I didn't envisage the performance of Hume or Basso.

Neither Cooks were any help in the away leg and in my opinion reasonable to think Harris would perform better in the away leg judging by his Premiership Grand Final performances, I don't know why he was below par last night ashe usually performs well at Leicester, I also thought Peterborough would struggle without Hans. but Craig Cook did well. Rory apparently aggravated a shoulder injury in the home leg but you wouldn't have noticed last night, he was flying.

More dirt would have helped Harris but considering how he rode for Peterborough he was poor.

I was one of the Pirates that went to this meeting, wasn't many of us but we were noisy!  I didn't expect this result, I thought we would struggle but I wasn't banking on the amazing Hume, Danyon was fantastic, best I have seen him ride and deserved heat 15. I spent all evening chatting with his dad which was a bonus, lovely guy and very interesting. Rory looked as fast as I seen him this season, one race he was nearly half a lap in front. Both Cooks struggled but that didn't matter because Basso was also excellent with a never give up attitude which cost him when he was excluded in one race but he also took a rider in the last bend in another race. Worrall and King were also very good. Heat 9 should not have been all 4 back because Douglas fell on his own but it didn't matter. Poole were always in control and apart from Douglas Leicester were really not firing on all cylinders. Harris looked slow too and although he won an awarded race he didn't show the fighting spirit he showed the other night on a track he usually rides well. Captain Howarth and Morris showed spirit but very few riders in this league could have coped with Rorys speed and that was the foundation of this result in my opinion.

I take your point and I agree although we would have won by a bigger margin in this meeting had Hume been at reserve. I will be a very happy Pirate if he is back next season.

He still had a breakdown Wednesday! Not Thursday funnily enough.

I may cheer him before the meeting as he is a really nice guy who I spoke to at the last Leicester meeting I attended which was the Pirates cup match but I certainly won't be cheering for him during the meeting although I do expect him to score well. A couple of break downs would be nice!

Don't think I am having a go at him because I really like Danny, I have chatted to him many times and he is a really nice bloke but his current form is a bit of a worry. I will be at Leicester tonight to cheer on the team and hope Danny performs as i know he is capable of. It is a shame his Premiership average is so high because he could of guested for Hans at Peterborough which would have given him much needed track time and I am pretty sure he would have been the preferred guest. I do feel Danny is better when he is busy and more track time would have definitely helped.

Just thought the track could be better and the racing would be even better, I agree it was a great meeting. When I have been before after about heat 4 the grip moved to the outside to give more lines you could race on. The meeting against Wolves could have been better too.

Yes Steve Worrall was poor unlike Monday and Wednesday when he was excellent and he rides Leicester track really well, also I hope Danny King rides as he usually does at Leicester because he has been poor lately too.

Well done to the Panthers but what has happened to your track, has Buster destroyed it like he has Kings Lynn, if that was a normal meeting you would all be moaning about no passing and one line, it was only the incredible effort from the rider's and some rider errors that made the racing as good as it was which wouldn't have happened in a league meeting.

Well he has declared himself fit, Starke is a massive downgrade on Schlein, if we had to use a guest I would go with Ben Barker but it looks like Rory is fit so that is a bonus for us.

Don’t think he would want a fall with a shoulder injury and in any case we could could only replace with Ben Cook, Hume or the reserves so might as well be just the reserves.

Great news and I hope he doesn't pull up in his first heat, if he does then it's irr which definitely won't be good news but if he says he will be fit then we have to trust his judgment, he has probably been carrying the injury for a while.

Of course he is they are waiting to see how he is after last night's celebrations
