  1. No benefit to Poole, we would still have topped the table if that meeting had been after the cut off date.
  2. Reminds me of the old Eric Morecombe joke. You will never sell any ice creams going at that speed.
  3. If MPT is fit and can ride to the best of his ability i think Peterborough will win but i am sure it will be a good final and great tv.
  4. For a play off meeting i would of thought extra provision of medical cover would be provided. When was the original cut off date then? Who did it get moved for? Can't have been Poole as we are just hanging around waiting for a team to qualify.
  5. With so much chance of rain offs this time of year they can't run a meeting due to lack of medical cover, you couldn't make it up.
  6. I don't think anyone will bottle it as some would call it, Bjarne went through the tapes in what should have been his easiest race but it didn't affect him, even the most experienced riders can get nervous in such an important meeting.
  7. Not so sure Kerr will be as good at Belle Vue and Nicholls doesn't usually go well there so could be a struggle for Peterborough on monday.
  8. Yes Skidder he has only enhanced his reputation, he has had some indifferent meetings lately but he was always going to be a key rider. Always loved Bjarne at Poole, what a legend.
  9. Always plenty of passing at Poole, I said Bjarne had been a little off form lately but back to form tonight
  10. Yeah misjudged him there but it is a bit gate and go tonight which probably suits him as he rides for Kings Lynn
  11. Yes true but from what i have seen of him I wouldn't think he is capable of 7 tonight more like 3, anyway hopefully it will be a close meeting for the tv.
  12. Hasn't ridden well lately either , he wasn't great at his home track last week .
  13. I feel the main problem here is that , if it was clear that the track was unsuitable for racing at 5.30 why wasn't it cancelled then, it appears that nearly everybody that intended to go had arrived before it was cancelled.
  14. Often happens in a re-run but not Karma as it seems the referee made the right call.
  15. I thought the Sheffield could take some water as the drainage is quite good there I was led to believe so as long as it isn't torrential it should be ok I would have thought.
  16. I think this should be a cracker if the track isn't too wet and I fancy Sheffield to prevail, they are in much better for now, beating Peterborough away from home is a great result and I don't think a repeat of a 54-36 thrashing at Belle Vue will be repeated especially now Troy Batchelor seems to have found some form. Just a shame they can't televise it.
  17. Yes and what a crash that was, I went home fearing he would never race again , horrific being stood on the very bend he went in to. You know its bad when the whole stadium goes eerily quiet.
  18. Losing MPT is a massive blow, they can overcome it if Bjarne rides well, there is some rain due today which probably won't help the home side as it didn't help Wolves last week, sounds like a last heat decider to me hopefully, should be good viewing.
  19. Cook, Jason Crump, I know he has been poor this season but surely better than Kerr or Richard Lawson as they should be allowed the 5 per cent extra for a home meeting. Maybe Lawson is still injured. I would imagine Panthers fans are hoping for rain so they can more time to get MPT fit
