  1. No true you can't but it helps if you have a rider that can win most of his races, so Somerset have got a good team and made some good changes like Covatti and Summers who have done well for them. It isn't the team you start with that is important its the team you finish with. Somerset are clear favourites and as such will be under pressure to finish the job.
  2. Weren't you expecting them to do well with the best rider in the world? They have the best team and not at least getting to the final would have to be considered failure.
  3. The problem is that a race like heat 13 was commonplace years ago and if we had more of them then the sport as a whole would benefit. Surely more people would turn up if a race like that could happen more often. Kings Lynn and Peterborough had a reputation for being good racetracks but not so much these days.Leicester had the chance to make a good racetrack but seem to have messed it up. Could tracks be changed to make them more like the NSS or should we just be happy that we have speedway at all and accept that some tracks are better than others.
  4. Quite a few of those meetings you have selected were when he was at reserve so had more rides and easier rides he scored 8 Kings Lynn last time and since the Wolves meeting Tungate can take a r/r ride so that is a bonus. I am not for one second suggesting that they aren't weaker without him especially at home but with Tungate able to take a extra ride it does make it a little better.
  5. In fairness he didn't say you wouldn't miss him or that you weren't weaker without him just that you had covered well for him as in you have still won meetings.
  6. I think maybe I am remembering when Eastbourne pipped them in the last meeting of the season for the title whenever that was.
  7. Of course Somerset haven't been in the top flight for long so maybe Kings Lynn are the most deserving especially as I seem to remember they have finished first before in the league season but missed out in the play offs.
  8. Yes I agree with that and he is a big improvement on the reserve he replaced.
  9. Had 3 lasts at the NSS the other night, it seems he is ok when he gates but doesn't do much passing.
  10. I doubt we will have to ride against him in the play offs. Anyway wasn't so good at Belle Vue on Wednesday and only has a 5 point average in the Championship so he can't be riding very fast for Redcar.
  11. Most riders look quick against your reserves!! I think Kings Lynn will keep it close at Belle Vue and beat them easily at Kings Lynn. Bewley is a massive miss for them, they may have covered well for him in the last couple of matches but against table topping Kings Lynn they haven't a prayer.
  12. Well he has had a pretty poor season by all accounts but I believe he will put in that little bit extra effort in the play offs which could make all the difference. In a world where most sportsman only have loyalty to their back pocket, I think NKI is loyal to Kings Lynn and will pull out all the stops for them.
  13. So you think Covatti got three zeros last night on purpose. So May is astute but if Poole had done it you would have said they were cheats.
  14. How do you work out what the averages will be in October?
  15. So would i but it is a year when there is no strong favourite so there is hope for all the teams.
  16. Yes we wanted Josh gone earlier in the season, in fact if it was a toss up between him and Linus most would have let Josh go, well I would have done nut recently he has been on fire so probably quite a few would want him back. Not sure how many would want Chris Holder back but if he isn't in the gp's next year then could still be a good addition especially on his low average.
  17. I think Woryna will be easily capable of stepping up. This a unimportant meeting, I believe he will step up when needed in the play offs, not so sure about Brady though. when you compare the teams they are pretty evenly matched so it could go either way.
  18. If Brady doesn't up his level for the playoffs we are stuffed but we all know he can do it. He was crap at Kings Lynn but came out and beat Robert Lambert in a race so there is hope. The rest of the team are all doing their job.
  19. Well i did read that the double header against Wolves was better racing in the second meeting after it had slickened off a bit. So maybe it doesn't need to be that grippy for good racing.
