I think it would have been worse. Look at Hans last season, genuine injury but rode a meeting which didn't work and had to be replaced but a lot doubted it. It is within the rules so could have happened. -

As some may know I am not a Poole can do no wrong supporter and have criticised Matt Ford for some dodgy moves but what if Poole had claimed Starke had a minor injury or was ill and was to be replaced by Newman, how would people have reacted then? It may have been a genuine injury but no one would have believed it, especially when Starke has not been in form of late although he was certainly back to form Monday. -

Yes but if he had ridden BWD would not have got 8 or 6 as he was coming back from injury. Lahti was largely the reason why we got in to the play offs but now he lets us down in the play offs. -

Pretty much as expected, cracking meeting, great racing, lots of passing, Newman rode very well and in my opinion scored a few more than BWD would have done, Lahti was awful, no idea what has happened to his form, he wasn't on the pace in any race he must have been speaking to KK! Missed the gate and went backwards. Apart from his unfortunate engine failure Starke rode extremely well, looked quick and was on the pace all night, Shanes was also excellent especially his from the back ride to deny Davey on the line, great ride. Kennett also rode very well and looked quick especially his overtake on the back straight, Brady and Hans also did their jobs very well too but what has happened to Jack, clearly trying his socks off but just not happening. Overall enjoyable meeting and considering we were 10 behind with two races to go we did very well to get the deficit down to two and if you think of the points thrown away, Jack should have got at least a point in heat one, should have had a 5-1 in heat 2, Doyle should have been excluded ridiculous decision by Master Bates as we call him in my house! Anyway all water under the bridge, we are never going to beat this Swindon team over two legs but we could have made it more interesting with a bit of luck. Rosco thinks his team were unlucky what is he on about! -

But John Terry is a multi million pound footballer, hardly the same is it, riders have to earn where they can. -

Yes but we all know that Kyle knows the Poole track like the back of his hand and as a Ipswich fan you must know he is riding very well at the moment. Based on current form I think he will outscore Starke and I always said Starke would beat BWD who was returning from injury. Hans was injured and although it backfired it wasn't cheating. As you know I have never defended Matt Ford when I think he was cheating but the Hans situation he was clearly injured. With a couple of weaknesses at reserve we had a much better chance but now the reserves are at best more equal so I can see the meeting being very close so we will need a bit of luck to get any lead at all. -

Everyone knows Kyle strengthens Swindon, I don't know why anyone would think differently, his current average isn't a reflection of his ability after a very poor start after coming back from injury. BWD may in the future prove to be a better rider than Kyle but not at the moment and I fully expect Newman to outscore Starke given there comparable scoring of late. -

As I have said days ago Kyle will want to stick two fingers up to Matt Ford for sacking him and I don't blame him for that especially when the rider that replaced him is his opposite number. Most Poole fans know Kyle on form is a very good rider at Poole and he should have the beating of Starke. I have said when Kyle was sacked it was a mistake and I stand by that opinion and another mistake was letting Kerr go, so you reap what you sow. Matt Ford have made some dodgy moves in the past so it isn't surprising that some see it as karma. Another thing in Newman's favour is conditions he won't care what the conditions are he will just give it everything as usual. If he scores a hatful it won't go down well with the fans but if some think he won't try because it is against Poole I think you are mistaken. -

What you have to ask yourself is if Kyle wasn't available would they still be getting a guest? -

Look at his website he said after getting paid ten i'm not a great fan of watching speedway so it was great to get out there again racing. The wrist felt good and although it's still not 100% I'm glad with how my night went. Beating Craig Cook in that first heat set me up for a good night. -

All I am saying is that Lahti has been a different rider lately, you can see that from the way he has ridden and in those meetings he has had 7 rides more often than not. I appreciate Musielak is a top rider and will be very difficult to beat, all I am saying is having seen him ride home and away, although I couldn't attend his latest meeting at Somerset I am positive he can give Musielak a tough night. I think a rider v rider argument is valid and a good guide to how the meeting might pan out but obviously thinks happen in meetings that no one can account for. There is no doubt Musielak has changed Swindon from a good team in to title favourites.
