Not sure what happened in the first running of heat 15, but the Holder brothers were not happy with Tobi. How Chris is ok, arguably our best rider this season so far. Hats off to Killeen - not sure what changes he made to his bike but he was very impressive for his last few rides. Same with Flint and Rowe, they all seemed to turn it around as the night went on

Think one problem with Sheffield is the limited viewing areas - most tracks there are fans dotted around the entire track to take applause from. That said it never used to bother riders in the past

Thought Woffy was quite refrained for him - think he only swore twice! Doesn’t bother me either way, he is what he is. Nice to hear/see that he is getting back on form Not an exciting meeting, track looked very dry and dusty with no grip - hence the times were all 3 seconds off the normal pace I’m guessing. Fair play to Leicester and a deserved win

A comprehensive, but not unexpected, win for the Tigers with only Bewley putting up any resistance. A good work out to get the season underway.

They did say that it wasn’t signed and sealed - I guess they were in a position where they had to declare that they were racing and so had to hope it came off

Unless a buyer can be found it may be the last time for anybody at Sheffield. No Oxford and no Birmingham already, you would suspect that the writing is on the wall for the Premiership in this country regardless of what happens to Sheffield

I’m in Sheffield city centre. Bit of light drizzle and showers this morning. Massive thunderstorm at 1pm until about 2 and forecast is for it to continue to brighten up / diminishing chance of rain for the rest of the day (according to the BBC)

14 riders who ride for multiple clubs in multiple countries, plus managers, plus mechanics, plus stadium availability- would suggest that would be more than a 2 minute chat unfortunately

Every track in the country has been in this position - everything good to go and then the rain hits. The track staff worked their arses off for about 1.5 hours trying to get it raceable. Some riders were happy, some weren’t. It wasn’t a case of getting the people in and then calling it off, you could see that they were genuinely trying to get it on, but if the riders won’t play ball, what can the promotion do about it? its crap, but as said, there isn’t a track in the country where this hasn’t happened, it’s an unfortunate part of our sport.
