The score flattered Worky - 2 punctures for Sheffield riders, one of which gifted Bach 4 points instead of 1 and both of which gifted Wethers 2 of his 3 points, and also bike problems for Bellego in another probably gave them at least a point. Wells and to an extent Hansen aside, the whole team looked a bit pants - Harrison, Wethers and Barrett were pretty woeful. Some great rides by Kurtz, Compton and Bates. Birks looked like the medics were trying to attend him in the pits for summats or other, Sissis was unlucky to pick up a puncture and was there or thereabouts, Bellego rode hard and clearly had problems in one race, Garrity did what we have come to expect. Workyboy - you would have been disappointed by the overtaking...

The sun is shining! Looking forward to this one, a few away riders that can get round our track should = a decent meeting. Workyboy - have you ever been to Owlerton??

You obviously didn't see Wilko last time he rode Sheffield, thought he was a good choice that had a bad night

Do you think there should be a rule about teams not being able to use guests for a rider who you know isn't going to ride again in a season? Nothing against guests per se, but it is nice to have your own 1-7 week in week out

You should have put a bet on! Some decent racing (in a few races) and a close match. Do love the passion Garrity shows when he wins a race. If Lawson hadn't run out of steam or Summers hadn't snapped a chain it could easily have been a different story

Lets face it, we are never going to find out exactly what happened, so think people need to live with it rather than debating and arguing who is at fault for ever more. It's happened now, we need to move on and support the promotion and more importantly the team

Does anybody expect Steady to ride again? Given his injury and his guarded comments about making a track return, I wouldn't be surprised if he called it a day. Gutted if that is the case, but would be entirely understandable

I see Bellego scored 10 points in a European qualifying meeting last night, hopefully means he will be back in the team again soon

I suspect that you and Arson actually agree with each other - he should have been excluded. I thought it was 50/50 on Tuesday night, but watching the replays again last night at Owlerton j think the correct decision was made

I spoke to Simon Parker earlier - he said that he is meant to be leaving tomorrow. Not even time for a proper p*** up given we are riding away tomorrow night. Hopefully he will win a state championship and be back next year

Apparently after Heat 11 last night Lambert collapsed - probably not a bad thing he didn't ride as far as rider safety is concerned. Fair play to Peterborough tonight they were bloody good! Think a draw was a fair result, although arguably Sheffield got lucky with Bates losing control in heat 14 to block blackbird's run which led to the 5-1 to get us back level.

Never been to Ashfield, looks like a nice race track and worth a visit at some point. Thought overall it was a decent meeting and Sheffield could have come away with a point with a bit more luck - Andre arguably dropped a point or 2 by hitting his kill switch. Garrity was in a decent position to score points when Lawson knocked his chain off and Garrity was in the lead when he abandoned ship, considering the loss of Proctor I thought we did alright. I seem to recall that Heat 15 scores don't count towards an average and therefore his taking part in those races would be irrelevant - I may well be wrong of course and no doubt somebody will tell me if I am. If you go by the Sheffield website being accurate, then it seems they were given dodgy information as to the rolling average / average for this season point, in which case it seems harsh on all concerned as they probably wouldn't have gone with him in those circumstances, he would have known the position and Sheffield supporters wouldn't be robbed of seeing a 7 man team for the next however many weeks
