  1. I see Bellego scored 10 points in a European qualifying meeting last night, hopefully means he will be back in the team again soon
  2. I suspect that you and Arson actually agree with each other - he should have been excluded. I thought it was 50/50 on Tuesday night, but watching the replays again last night at Owlerton j think the correct decision was made
  3. Good point, forgot to mention Brady... Can he guest for us next week please as I understand Cookie is unavailable
  4. I spoke to Simon Parker earlier - he said that he is meant to be leaving tomorrow. Not even time for a proper p*** up given we are riding away tomorrow night. Hopefully he will win a state championship and be back next year
  5. Apparently after Heat 11 last night Lambert collapsed - probably not a bad thing he didn't ride as far as rider safety is concerned. Fair play to Peterborough tonight they were bloody good! Think a draw was a fair result, although arguably Sheffield got lucky with Bates losing control in heat 14 to block blackbird's run which led to the 5-1 to get us back level.
  6. Never been to Ashfield, looks like a nice race track and worth a visit at some point. Thought overall it was a decent meeting and Sheffield could have come away with a point with a bit more luck - Andre arguably dropped a point or 2 by hitting his kill switch. Garrity was in a decent position to score points when Lawson knocked his chain off and Garrity was in the lead when he abandoned ship, considering the loss of Proctor I thought we did alright. Thanks to Josh G - entertaining rider and a cracking race to stalk Sargeant
  7. Just leaving a replacement for Stead to be found....
  8. I seem to recall that Heat 15 scores don't count towards an average and therefore his taking part in those races would be irrelevant - I may well be wrong of course and no doubt somebody will tell me if I am. If you go by the Sheffield website being accurate, then it seems they were given dodgy information as to the rolling average / average for this season point, in which case it seems harsh on all concerned as they probably wouldn't have gone with him in those circumstances, he would have known the position and Sheffield supporters wouldn't be robbed of seeing a 7 man team for the next however many weeks
  9. 10 winners, 4 lasts and only 1 heat advantage against us
  10. Wowsers!! Brilliant result for the Tigers, not so much for the Bears
  11. Happy with that, thought we were at risk of losing again. Just need to get Ash going - overheard him talking to Ermolenko saying that he had his engine serviced again because he just can't get it off the line, unfortunately it wasn't any better for him
  12. If it is called off a quick re-arrangement to the following weekend would be much appreciated given I'm spending the weekend in the area...
  13. Heat 15 was the race of the night, brilliant riding by Andre to hold off Josh G. Still don't understand what the ref was thinking in heat 13, blatantly wasn't watching the race
  14. Kurtz exclusion in heat 13... What a joke! Referee scored us more points than Bates 😎
  15. Probably not the best time to be facing one of the strongest teams on the league, but think we should still get the better of them.
  16. Stead has had an operation on his arm and leg and is getting transferred back to Sheffield according to the Belle Vue Twitter feed. Hope all went well. I was just coming on here to say whether Ben Wilson might have been the short term replacement, but see Garrity is the man. If he learns to curb his enthusiasm a little bit he will be good - think in the past he has over cooked it a few times when holding back a bit would have ultimately scored him more points
  17. Think I saw that David "just" had abrasions so hopefully he will be ok
  18. 6.22 average for Schlein, what would that convert to? it would be awesome if we could have him, but as I said earlier think he would need a sub 6 point EL average to double down.
  19. Think you have to have a sub 6 point EL average to double down. Garrity? Seriously? What would be the point? Swapping a number 1 for a second string, we would better off using guests/ rider replacement. He's not known for riding big tracks, but Bridger is a free agent at present
  20. I was thinking more of potential permanent signings
  21. Gutted for Simon - he has been in arguably the best form of his career so far this season. I'm guessing that we are going to need a replacement as I would doubt that he will be back this season given the extent of his injuries - who is there available? I'm struggling to think of anybody
  22. Good result, expected a bit more from the Diamonds to be honest. Hat off to Bellego's last 2 rides, very skilful riding and nice to see a bit of passion from a rider - obviously meant a lot to him
  23. Just looked and in 2001 Steady, in a far far stronger Premier league, ended the season with a 10.16 average, he was 19 at the time. By 24 Steady was 3 times British under 21 champion. Josh is an awesome entertainer, but just dont see him ever being much more or less than he is now in terms of long term average. In terms of his technical knowledge I seem to recall being told that Eric Boocock tried to help him during his time at Sheffield and he just ignored the advice.
  24. I disagree, I don't think that they should keep it going 😃 The Tigers have done alright so far the year and so I thnk they should keep it going
  25. I thought Proctor was guesting for Plymouth tonight? According to the updates it was R/R
