  1. Anybody know if Stead and Bates are fit to ride? Stead didn't ride last night for Leicester and it sounds like Josh fell and withdrew from the meeting too
  2. It was R/R for Steady in Leicester's match tonight I noticed
  3. Not sure where to start.... The entire team rode superbly. Was going to pick out Steady's heat 9 ride, but all 6 riders had at least one brilliant race. Workington helped with not being that good, but think we could've beaten anybody tonight
  4. Very very very With more rain forecast later, it has got to be doubtful
  5. Think the Argentinian championship is similar to the New Zealand one, where nationality is considered to be overrated! More of a championship in Argentina than an Argentinian championship (if that makes sense)
  6. The only way we will stand a chance is if the Masters who guested for us turns up instead of the Usual Masters
  7. The difference being that by the sounds of it, Berwick were good where as Worky were a bit crap the other night...
  8. Interesting to see how he gets on, Proctor just seemed to be coming good (at home anyway), not sure if Nico will be as good as Proctor was becoming, but from what I've seen of him, he should be entertaining at the very least... If only there was another Argentinian rider that we could bring in to keep him company
  9. Didn't think it was too shabby personally. Not the best meeting, but a few good races
  10. They announced after the meeting that Josh had a headache but that was it. Can't believe that he didn't break anything in what was a sickening looking crash. I heard him hit the fence from near the start line Should also say, cracking rides from both guests, we would have been up against it without them with Taylor looking down on power in comparison to recent weeks
  11. Can't believe that Edward Kennett hasn't been mentioned yet
  12. Isn't Rugby the home of the BSPA? As for a boycott, not sure that I have heard anything quite so stupid before. As somebody else has pointed out, it would probably just result in some poor bugger, who tries to provide entertainment in a competitive market place (football, cricket, Ice hockey, rugby, basketball, games consoles, tv etc etc), going bankrupt. Who is the winner in that situation??
  13. Echo the above comments, a crowd silencing crash. Best wishes to Andre and hope that it looked worse than it actually is - apparently he was taken to the medical room but was going to Northern General to be checked over
  14. Most people wait to get to the corner though and then turn left... Steady was on his outside
  15. Barged into Stead and knocked him off and then tried to do the same to Poole
  16. If Masters had performed like he can / we had Proctor in the team and Andre hadn't stopped whilst in the lead on the last bend, you wouldn't have been anywhere near us. You were pretty unexceptional save for Lasse and Ulrich, Blackbird's score flattered him and Dryml was just downright dangerous from the start (for which he got warned I believe)
  17. Typical Sheffield guest performance... Masters comes and scores double figures against us consistently and is piss poor for us. Another good night for Andre (apart from his bike going bang again). Speaking of Andre - nice of him to come over to high 5 the little kid who was crying next to the pits to cheer him up.
  18. Agreed. Thought that after last season and him being mates with Andre, we may well have ended up with him - maybe if the sale of the club hadn't been going on we might have done
  19. Think you may have got your numbers the wrong way round! As long as proctor and Lanham are fit I can't see anything but a Tigers victory by 10 or more
  20. Tis true Spinny, but for 2 rare engine failures for Stead, a puncture for Compton, a blown engine for Compton and Proctor hitting the fence when rounding King, Newcastle would have been soundly beaten - and that is before you consider that Bates didn't ride. Solid return debut for Ben, think paid 8 should silence the critics about his return. Indeed, ignoring mechanical gremlins, the whole top 6 were very solid.
  21. Doesn't screeny mentor Payne? Don't think I have ever seen him ride, any good? Would've thought that benji Compton would have been a good shout to replace him if available
  22. I'm presuming that the 7.30 start time is being continued with unfortunately
