Barged into Stead and knocked him off and then tried to do the same to Poole -

If Masters had performed like he can / we had Proctor in the team and Andre hadn't stopped whilst in the lead on the last bend, you wouldn't have been anywhere near us. You were pretty unexceptional save for Lasse and Ulrich, Blackbird's score flattered him and Dryml was just downright dangerous from the start (for which he got warned I believe) -

Typical Sheffield guest performance... Masters comes and scores double figures against us consistently and is piss poor for us. Another good night for Andre (apart from his bike going bang again). Speaking of Andre - nice of him to come over to high 5 the little kid who was crying next to the pits to cheer him up. -

Agreed. Thought that after last season and him being mates with Andre, we may well have ended up with him - maybe if the sale of the club hadn't been going on we might have done -

Think you may have got your numbers the wrong way round! As long as proctor and Lanham are fit I can't see anything but a Tigers victory by 10 or more -
Newcastle Verses Sheffield 17/07/14

Tis true Spinny, but for 2 rare engine failures for Stead, a puncture for Compton, a blown engine for Compton and Proctor hitting the fence when rounding King, Newcastle would have been soundly beaten - and that is before you consider that Bates didn't ride. Solid return debut for Ben, think paid 8 should silence the critics about his return. Indeed, ignoring mechanical gremlins, the whole top 6 were very solid. -

Doesn't screeny mentor Payne? Don't think I have ever seen him ride, any good? Would've thought that benji Compton would have been a good shout to replace him if available -

Bates senior was interviewed last night and Simon P was on Facebook, both have said that there is nobody available (or not available that don't bring their own problems and would guarantee improving the team). Realistically who is there? People have mentioned Roo boy, but does anybody seriously expect him to drop down? If he did his polish, Danish, Swedish and elite league commitments would no doubt mean he was never available - that's not withstanding the fact that we would have to bring in a 3 pointer or 2 in order to squeeze him in which wouldn't really help matters -

The interesting g thing with Sheffield at the moment is who would you replace? The 3 riders I would have said under serious threat previously were Lanham, Poole and Nielsen. All 3 have improved over the past few weeks in my opinion. On the other hand, Compton and Bates haven't looked as good over the last few weeks in my opinion... Proctor is of course the anomaly, brought in to strengthen the team and so far epically failed, but again over the past few weeks has looked considerably better and it would be a surprise if he were to make way for anybody. I fear for Nielsen on the basis that Bates is going nowhere with his family connection and we could probably make the biggest change in terms of increasing the overall average by releasing him. I think that would be unfair given his performances over the last few weeks personally, but such is life. -
I have, but I wouldn't start a thread on it (especially without actually giving any details as to what thy have actually done wrong)

If you don't go, why does it bother you that they have done whatever they have done?

Sheffield V Rye House 02/07

Presume because he was on a paid max and that makes a good headline (says the cynical side of me). Poole deserved the ride and I suppose Steady is Steady and so will always be out in heat 15 -
