  1. Meridian lifts ! Holy moly - great baptism of fire. Sure you glad to be associated with failure ! Money well spent - guess not. You be looking for a new marketing manager come Monday morning ? .
  2. Obvious when a meeting which should be declared (and could be) Null and void that the might Bomber Has success.
  3. tell me why I should give up my weekend and money to attend Cardiff in July. The prospect of buying/using Crown/Dulux paints is massively more superior.
  4. one sport - game on !!! You ain't gotta do much to take on speedway excellence. At least we get the chance for the real deal Sayfutinov and the proper best to give the fans what we want to see.
  5. Crikey, bad enough last night with the practice - please don't inflict a third day of rubbish
  6. Phil morris - time to give up your role already - you clearly a fool in a mans world !
  7. Jim Lawrence - you blind - ashamed of you as being acredited as being British. How much you getting tonight for your "job". You need to come out and declare you giving it to a children charity - rather than making profit to yourself
  8. Walt Disney speedway at its best, should be on channel 609 Pathetic for a sport that supposedly Is professional. Phillip Morris - hold your head in shame - crap as a rider and even worse as Speedway "director" ! What did you pay to get the role? Gonna be a long long long speedway gp season bring on the European set-up for at least some kind of professionalism What a mess !!!!!!
  9. Jamrog / Anderson - Anderson / Jamrog - where is the difference ? IMO thanks but no thanks to the "great" Dane - As much as it hurts to say this, It is about time that Kasparak reappears and works his wonders. Hopefully Hans is a better at changing nappies to his offspring than he is in trying to impress the Coventry "faithful".
  10. Amazingly decided to spend my 18 quid buying crown paints emulsion on the way to Brandon tonight - only hope it doesn't look as bad on my walls and ceiling as the bees have looked tonight (thanks speedway forum) Can only think that Watson and Horton have done something to urinate on Hans Anderson for him to put on a seemingly second string performance - however the same goes for the rest of the "team" Not even mid-April and already can see how the rest of the season is going to pan out. On the plus side, at least the residents of the local Binley Woods area will NOT have to put up with the noise of speedway bikes from early September onwards. happy days alround for me - have discovered that B&M stores do 2 for 1 on Crown emulsion, plus I didn't have to endure 2 hours of dross at Brandon. As if it matters, I will be going along to the u21's on Tuesday to see riders who do "give a damn". happy
  11. Already intimated on this thread, but what a farce to have 4 non swindon riders in a Swindon team of 7 ! Ok injuries do happen - and unfortunate for Rosco to have so many at one time - but makes a supposedly "Professional " sport look so pathetic and almost certainly ridicules any attempt to bring in new support to replace the very aged supporter base that Speedway seems to attract these days. The money grabbing BSPA members should be ashamed of themselves to allow the sport in general, yet again, to be going through difficulties - they should be focusing on the major problems in the sport at their annual conference, ahead of, new regulations such as concerning riders gardening at the start line for example. You appear in the main, to be a total disgrace and show utter disrespect to the many hard working promoters since 1928 (excluding Stuart Bamforth !!) I have a very tongue in cheek suggestion - why not approach The Disney Corporation for support, cus you doing a great job at promoting a Mickey Mouse attitude.
  12. Have just returned from an highly enjoyable evening watching Stox at Brandon for the first time in I guess 15 years. The whole event was ultra slick and unfortunately put the speedway guys to shame massively ! Having been an attendee as a regular since the Olsen era circa 1976, hand on heart the track even after race 2 of the Rebels and Stox was the best I have seen in years - this even despite a very wet morning in Coventry. I guess one word good news for speedway fans is that I can not see Mr Sandhu giving up the cash cow of sport at the Brandon Stadium as the crowd for a very cool night at the start of April was fantastic, with the Grandstand, bends 1,2,3 & 4 plus the back straight being reminiscent of the early Olsen days for speedway. One major thing that stood out for me was the immediate tractor track preparation within seconds of a race being completed and made me realise that speedway fans are being treated as mugs for having to put up with half hearted promotions. I hope and prey that at some stage Horton and Watson come along and watch the professionals at work. I had been a critic of Jeremy Heaver in the past - but hey, so regret that now having not realised the good efforts he was putting in - which ultimately is recognised by the public and will pay rewards, deservedly so. one further point is the age demographic tonight vs speedway. Tonight at the Stox was a mixed bag of ALL ages. Speedway at Coventry is like a convention mainly of SAGA holiday shareholders - needs a massive injection to bring the younger people along - ok they offer free admission to the under 11's but somebody need to promote big time - it won't take much, and can provide great rewards as ultimately it is a fantastic sport with some massive celebrities and even at the lower ranks. (My 9 year old is a massive fan of Ryan Terry Daley and has told me that we have to go and see him at Stoke some time this year as no longer a rider for the Storm) I don't like being negative all the time with my posts on the Forum - but the things I hear and read about the management commitee of the BSPA paint a different picture to reality in my eyes. are they in funded roles ? The words tinted, rose and spectacles spring to mind. come on fellow speedway forum persons, rip me to shreds and tell me how wrong I am !!!
  13. Just checked out the score from this evening and to be quite honest, provides nothing to make ANY fan enthusiastic about wasting their time (forget the money aspect !) in going along to a national league meeting. Over the close season have read so many team announcements about the signing of 'x' or 'y' who have signed, but then when you look into their individual profile, have only recently taken up the sport. Over the last 2 years have attended most of the Coventry Storm meetings at Brandon. Think for 2015 I will use the 10 quid or so admission price to buy some paint from B&Q, just 1 mile from Brandon, and watch it dry instead. Well done to the GB speedway authorities ! IMO you have made what was a viable, and entertaining spectacle potentially pathetic.
  14. You got to expect that as a young pole and used to the bigger tracks, then there will be periods when he will be better than others.
  15. Just read the news about the farce in Oxford re the rejection for planning permission for homes etc and the potential for a speedway return. wow what a fantastic prospect ! So many memories of Friday nights at Cowley. Plus the days of Hans and Simon. With the latest issues with the Aussie riders fiasco, so good to have some potentially great news. However realise it's very early days !
  16. So frustrated to learn that potentially UK speedway in 2015 misses out on some of the greatest Aussie talent yet again. See speedwaygp.com as Speedwaygb.co seems to run away from controversy once again. To survive we need the likes of Holder, Doyle, Batchelor and hopefully Doyle to frequent the racing circuits of the UK. Plus hear that several premier league riders are now falling foul too ! What a mess - does the union flag mean nothing anymore ? Not happy days !

  20. my original post was detrimental to Cradley fans - so sorry !
  21. clean cut sports could make a fortune from this and potentially a christmas 2014 best seller. However got to include ALL of the juicy bits though. Pathetic to think that the speedway heroes of the future resort to such pathetic actions. Olly Greenwood excepted, who is a credit to his profession. get well soon young man and wishing you a fantastic 2015 - you a credit to the sport as a young and up and coming rider - potential sponsors take note !!!!!!!!
  22. All makes for an interesting Coventry vs Swindon heat 2 on Monday - with Mr Sarjeant and Mr Grieves. Are you sure it wasn't a Horton arranged publicity stunt to try and draw local boxing fans in too ?
  23. Problem is that over the MANY years you have amassed such a massive number of brushes, you ought be sponsored by B&Q. Heathens by name, Heathens by nature.
  24. Reckon Jason Doyle could be a big spoiler in 2015 - the lad has come on massive in the last 2 years and whilst still not a household Aussie name such as Holder, Ward or even Watt, IMO has a great future in world speedway and I for one will be routing for the guy next year. Pleased for Bomber too ! His form of late on the UK domestic scene has been awesome and although showing no form whatsoever in the 2014 gp's, can hopefully go out and 'relax' in Stockholm and Torun and do himself justice. Will be able to re-group and prepare for 2015 knowing that he got there on his merits and not through the back door. Go Bomber !!!! happy days - oh yeah !
