Poole Vs The Aces For The Title
markyb replied to Crazy robin's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Too right - fantastic post. It appears CHEATS do prosper after all. And they say football is corrupt. so sorry for the supporters of speedway as they are the innocent ones who spend time and money on the "sport" and being treated like idiots. -
Fantastic news about Oxford Robins - only hope the racing is like it used to be at Cowley

Poole Vs The Aces For The Title
markyb replied to Crazy robin's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Pleased that Dakota has enjoyed his rounds of golf and so now refreshed. Of course these points are for his dad ! Yawn ! I'm sure the many care homes of Poole will be wreaking the smell of urine once again tomorrow morning because of the excitement of beating 7 other teams in an "elite" (shocking use of a word that should mean so much) league. how many "elite" teams in 2016 ? -
Ok, I understand that Poland has the capability to attract the best riders to compete in their leagues, but what is it that Sweden has over the UK elite. I look tonight at the play off in Sweden and the calibre of number 1, 3 & 5's plus some decent reserves too and realise how mugged off the speedway supporting fans of the UK are being treated. A serious issue that needs to be addressed. We got an almost certain "British" world champion again that chooses to ride outside of his "native" land. We got a 2nd in the titlle hunt who chooses to wear his U.S. colours anywhere but the UK, plus an ageing Danish star who lives "down the road" but avoids showing his face at a UK circuit. what is it so wrong with the UK speedway scene ? Money, taxes or earnings potential in general ? What needs to happen to bring them back ? Would be good to understand the reasons from a decent riders point of view especially.

Coventry V Swindon - Wednesday 2nd September
markyb replied to NeilWatson's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Fantastic gesture of Mick Horton to pay 10 quid to the attending few to attend. Whoops read it wrong again, he seems to think I will pay 10 quid to come inside a massively wet stadium which could go on till midnight (now that the curfew scenario was just a smoke screen) With second rate guest riders. Come Neil Watson, let's hear you bleat !!! -
Wolverhampton Wolves Vs Poole Pirates 20/07/2015
markyb replied to Shaleshifter's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Taken me 10 minutes to compose myself to write this through absolute laughter - Middledich you shown your real colours tonight - Why was Holder gonna any better than he he did all night - and to lose at Wolverhampton of all places - crikey shows you up even more. Matt Ford ain't gonna be happy ! You should have opted for Darcy - I admit I was a big critic of him and for his misdemeanours, but hey, he had a beer too many. Rosco and Swindon (with Mr Ward) will be the force to reckon with now for the rest of the season - would be good for Darcy to realise that Poole needed him more than he needed Poole - although not sure where he sleeps at night anymore as I guess Middledich will no longer be offering a place to stay. -
Coventry Bees V Belle Vue Friday 26th June
markyb replied to mdmc82's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Come on Horton show Anderson the door like you did with Kasperzak. He is making you look a right mug and you seem to be putting up with him. He more of an embarressment to Coventry than the debacle of the Poole meeting a couple of weeks ago. He not worthy of wearing a Bees breastplate. -
Coventry Bees V Belle Vue Friday 26th June
markyb replied to mdmc82's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Could this be the last home meeting for Hans before he ignites his wonderous return to the Robins and we are spoilt by half a season of Mr Darcy Ward - not fooled by the smoke screen of the Coventry promotion saying they not interested - reckon the majority of fans would appreciate a true top class rider being seen at Brandon - nowhere near as good as the season when we had Rico, Hamill, Hancock AND Jonsson, but a chance to reinvent enthuasiasm of speedway supporters of the past. Unfortunately, being realistic, it aint gonna happen. Coventry NEED Darcy more than Darcy needs Coventry. So he has been a naughty boy having too many pints of Stella Artois, and not the Coke {sic} that Michael Lee was done for, but in my book michael lee was a legend on a bike despite his mis-givings. Darcy ward could still achive that same status. -
Alas, remember that British Speedway seems to be run by the the equivalent of the Kray twins - AKA the Russell brothers - unless you want to be part of an extension to the M25 motorway, IMO not much point in questioning what is going on. At least football currently has the FBI to investigate the wrong doings in that sport - whereas I reckon the WI ( my granny is a proud member ! ) are possibly doing a likewise job for this sport.

Go Speed International Statement.
markyb replied to Fromafar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Mick Horton, you have critics, including me, but be careful trying to put the bad good. These are the Russell brothers you playing with, modern day Kray twins IMO, M25 improvements and a concrete overcoat if you not careful. Fascinating !!!!!!! -
Christina Turnbull - so many words can be made from these letters, but don't want to be banned from this site (again) for suggesting the worst ones. So much to say right now, but in the politically correct world of Britain I can't due to the implications. cheers Markyb (sponsored tonight by Fairy Liquid and Marigold Gloves)

Just listened to mick Horton on the podcast on the bees website following tonight's shambles. Said he is dis-illusioned (many times) and speechless, but managed to spout off for over 5 minutes. Says his worst day in speedway, then says his worst evening in speedway and then his worst night whilst being involved at coventry speedway ! So it seems it was getting better for him as the interview went on then. "Where do you point the blame, where do you point the blame...um..I don't know". Closely followed by "I sympathise for sky sports" Also admitted that Coventry had no say in how the track was prepared whatsoever. (Guess that down to Ronnie Kray - whoops, sorry, meant Ronnie Russell) Why on earth should fans carry on paying their 18 quid - about time some respect given to the those who provide the wages and salaries to the speedway hierarchy. Not quite FIFA, but not hard to imagine the backhanders going on with this sport too. Absolute joke - but not funny anymore !

Amazing that a team's number one can be outdone by a second string (ok it is Holder !) by 17 points shows comical and pathetic the sport is becoming. Why is this "sport" overseen by blokes who should be spending time in their allotments and going home to pipe, slippers and a mug of Horlicks in the evening. IMO ( but that has been shot to shreds by various on the forum ) time for a total revamp of BRITISH speedway. Needs for a total change with people who care - the likes of Rossiter, Morton and xxxxx spring to mind as ALL being part of a set-up to take the sport further forwards. Polish League speedway appears to be imploding within itself, Swedish speedway on a Tuesday seems to be just "handy" - British speedway has an opportunity to re-invent itself with the right assistance. I say British, as I wholly impressed with the set-up at Glasgow - those guys deserve success from what they are even attempting to do. 12 months ago I was suggesting speedway in the UK was dying - now not so sure if put in the right hands. happy days. (Time to get off this soap-box as getting very dizzy now) Edit - please read Rob Lyon in place of xxxxxxx above - I just one of the older community who has "moments" -and forgot his name midstream although not yet quote into Horlicks, Complan or incontinence pads !

Leicester V Coventry 9th May 2015
markyb replied to mdmc82's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Fully understand the possibility of being banned which I would understand for a semi or final - but by implication, a quarter final suggests that Hans was part of a meeting which included a proportion of the best 64 best riders in Denmark - crikey is Denmark a nation that could even possibly supply 64 riders anyway - nah don't think so ! And for the fact that the "magnificent" Bjarne Pederson gets a bye for for quarter finals shows how so out of touch the Danish federation are. -

markyb replied to mdmc82's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
personally have had so much criticism about my anti-Anderson posts that no way I am going to remark about the fact that the "Great Dane" would rather compete in a quarter final of the Danish Championship than ride for Coventry. Only hope that come 25th May that he hasn't booked an appointment with his hairdresser at the same time that he could be riding against Kings Lynn. -
Lakeside V Coventry Friday 1/5/15
markyb replied to kingbee's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Yeah, unfortunate that I do give a damn. If you happy that an alleged number 1 can produce displays like he is, plus gets away with it too and you happy with that, then good luck to you Jacques. Hans Anderson is currently proving a horror show more than the fairy tale - its a massively watered down league and he still produces excrement. -

Come on Hans Anderson, please show me how wrong I have been in criticising your inept performances ( well in the Coventry bees colours anyway ) I am quite happy to apologise for my messages and Infact will donate 10 quid to a kids charity - will provide evidence too - if you score over 10 on Friday night. For a man of you potential should not be a problem. -
King's Lynn V Coventry 29th April

Yes, now too many inept performances from Hans - his problem is he ain't wearing a Robin on his breast plate. Time to get rid - come on Horton see the light. -
The Mighty Bees Vs Belle Vue 24/04/15
markyb replied to Game On's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
meeting went like clockwork ! 9.00 finish even after 15 minute interval. Well done Ms. Vardy. No programme changes in any of the races. no start line girls. No pre-race startline jingles. efficient and regular track grading - Just like it used to be - and for me was much better for it. -

markyb replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
The 18 SGP riders should be ashamed of themselves ! had better opinions of some of them than they have reacted (or rather not reacted !). Treating the people (us fans) with contempt ! Time for the SEC to bring on a championship of integrity and honest riders for the fans to appreciate. (Only hope for a packed new Belle Vue in 2016 to rival Cardiff and their inferior championship) plus hopefully Lawrence, Steele have picked up their last pay cheques from their involvement in Speedway - well, at least being associated as being English bring on my suspension from speedway-forum for having a go at the "establishment " -

Thought you were having a laugh - and then started looking at the sites of normally 'Twitter happy' riders. Not a bad word to be said against the 'establishment' "hush" money ? Prima Donna's all 18 of them in my book. So sad ! -
