  1. Perhaps not a surprise at the result. In their positions both Doyle and Dan are irreplaceable. Results are going to be iffy for a while for the Witches until both the injured boys are back. They will be in the play offs and so long as that injury curse stays away there isn’t a team that will match them. No surprise to see certain fans rubbing their hands with glee at the Witches losing at home. It’s the only hope they have of their team winning anything this year.
  2. A lot will depend on Fricke as always. Should be a relatively routine home win about 50-40
  3. That’s a fair perspective actually. However most speedway fans know that this is the last season for the Brummies without the announcement.
  4. Dreadful weekend for the Witches. I really hope it doesn’t ruin there season again. Doyle at least seems upbeat from his post and hopefully will be back later in the year. Thompson is a hard one to replace. At least hopefully both make it back for the PO’s, they have as good as already qualified already.
  5. Yes someone else mentioned Sheffield, I have no knowledge about that. Thing is Birmingham has been a known fact that 2025 was the last at the stadium and the dogs were moving out. Id have left things till the last week if I was Tolley to make it official. Everyone would have known the news anyway.
  6. It was known last year that the dogs were moving out in the summer and speedway had till end of September. Maybe, just maybe Tolley and co were hoping another compromise could be reached with the stadium but speedway alone was never going to save the stadium from closing to the sport. Sad day however it’s not surprising news tho.
  7. Birminghams future is more than dodgy. The dogs are moving out the stadium end of September I think they said. The stadium will close end of the season.
  8. Great advert for British speedway last night. The NSS delivered but the crowd was embarrassing. Well done to Wright for getting the Wild Card. That final was insane. Well done Lambo, easily the best British rider by miles. Well done champ.
  9. I’d imagine if he wanted to come he would be over here right now. He used to ride here regular. But not for many years now.
  10. Exactly. Starts with a bang and soon turns to a whimper. Very odd why he let Leicester down on the eve of the season but suddenly ok to pick and choose and drop his clubs. He certainly made the difference to Oxford yesterday. Hopefully someone will take a chance on Gusts and he comes good just while Cook goes missing yet again.
  11. As expected the Aces dreadful on the road.
  12. Not sure how to rate the new Tigers line up. would have had it as double Tigers win before the changes. narrow home win for Aces, easy home win for Tigers.
  13. I believe it’s Birminghams last year at Perry Barr as it stands.
  14. And was scoring well abroad at that time too. Something which he has been doing since 2024. It’s like nothing has changed so my point remains.
  15. MJJ is doing what he always does. Throws in the odd decent meeting but usually has mediocre meetings with the odd decent ride when he can be bothered. has always been bang average in the UK.
  16. Good reply. There are many fans without a team that would love to be able to say “I’m just glad we’ve got speedway”.
  17. Good points. It hasn’t stopped raining since yesterday afternoon so the call off is no surprise at Perry Barr. I’m just a couple miles away so no surprise. The NSS call off is more of a shock.
  18. Perhaps Birmingham fans will confirm but I believe this is the last season the club can run at the stadium anyway?
  19. Exactly. we know he only turns up for the glory of the play offs or those with lawyers.
