  1. Each to their own. One of the best around. I’ve always found Porkie welcoming to away fans and visitors so thanks for confirming. The original Mr Wolf used to make the odd appearance during special occasions and was at the last meeting at Monmore. Still in the same outfit!
  2. I’ve always known him to have banter with all visiting fans. Never known him once say anything insulting in all my time at Monmore Green. If the Oz fans were insulted then fair point.
  3. Just caught up on this meeting earlier, decent meeting. Why oh why do we need the superheat? A draw is a draw. Nothing wrong with that. Only time you should need a superheat is if both teams are level on aggregate for the bonus. Looking like a Witches / Lions final this year.
  4. Each to their own. Was legendary at Wolves. Cradley fan. Insulting? Like how? One of the most welcoming centre green presenters around.
  5. Thats a fair point and yes compared to the last couple of years it was more evenly balanced.
  6. Porky has always commented on the last lap of the final race. He likes to give it some drama. He is one of the best in the business.
  7. I pretty much agree with that although Peterborough did do ok with the dads army side. I’d say teams with top end power are nailed on for the top 4.
  8. I very nearly stopped off on the way home from work, think I heard heat 2 as I passed. Trouble is time is running out to watch a dreadful team get battered every week.
  9. It always looked like an away win. Yet bizarrely some people thought they still might make the play offs! 🤣
  10. Dreadfully dull track, very little passing. Gotta love a bit of Bubba. Impressive.
  11. Speedway has often been gate and go and devoid of proper action even in the 70s. I remember being bored as a kid at some meetings feeling proper strung out. Think that was common at most tracks to be honest. Every track has its moments whilst those well prepared are likely to offer a little more.
  12. Suppose they had to make a change whilst they could. Morris will depend on how quick he can get up to speed. Etheridge can only ride the NSS so don’t think he is an improvement on Sedgmen.
  13. The Brummies passing 30 points must be an achievement for this woeful side.
  14. First chance I’ve had to watch this match. Pretty decent from the perspective of the closeness of the scores. Last 3 heats were great value. Fricke really is dynamite around BP.
  15. Updates has Rew 10+2. But just seen official scores.
  16. Updates has Musielak on 2 wins. Rew scored double figures, paid 12 points, what more do you expect? The expected result. Oxford are awful but Brummies are beyond woeful. It was billed as the battle to avoid bottom spot. Brummies had secured that spot before that match.
  17. I think the issue that most West Midlands speedway fans have is that the track at Birmingham is dodgy to say the least and not great from a viewing perspective. There were always quite a few Cradley fans at Wolves but then Monmore was known to be a well prepared race track and had a team that was likely to be racing for honours. Huge difference between the 2.
