  1. I’ve no idea as could only see a small section of inside the stadium from the fence outside the car park. I’ve no idea what the capacity is but I’m someone said 1500. I’m assuming then that numbers were being accurately monitored via bookings and sales to know that capacity was reached? Friends inside said that there was room to move about. obviously it explains a little more why people were turned away. I just hope ticket sales confirmed the capacity limit because it’s one last chance for Tolley and Co to make maximum amount of return which he absolutely deserves.
  2. Attending when I can due to work commitments on a Monday. At least I still follow and support the sport unlike the many who just gave up on the sport/club.
  3. Not the first reliable rider riding for Kings Lynn to do it tho.
  4. A loose sold out announcement was an even bigger catastrophe. Not being able to say goodbye to my local club I won’t forget for those responsible.
  5. Just threaten to close down and they will flock to the last meeting. Birmingham tonight was ‘sold out’ (except it wasn’t according to fans inside the stadium) and people were turned away. I know, I was one of them. Wolves last ever match I’ve never seen a crowd like it as well. it seems the only thing that works.
  6. Although of course Kings Lynn have form for riders picking riding for them as well. It absolutely is correct. I volunteered for 6 seasons there. Apparently that counts for nothing. Quite a few were locked out with entry refused because it was ‘sold out’. My neighbour came over after the match to say there was room. more incompetency from the club. If only speedway had that problem of actually having full crowds. Buts that’s rarely been the case for any league meeting in many a year. Apparently fans came from all over the UK to visit and no doubt lots of lost fans or last chance viewers came to give it the send off it deserved.
  7. In fairness to TM he has always been great value and dedicated to British Speedway. And usually a very reliable heat leader.
  8. As expected RR for Ellis is way below what he would usually score. They need him back for September.
  9. Lions will push it close I reckon. 47-43 either way.
  10. Just need to gain momentum for the play offs. Can’t see any team beating them man for man on form.
  11. Oxford only ever beat the Brummies, so the expected result.
  12. The expected result, even tho Milford outscored both Witches reserves! Aces are gone in the semis if they have to race the Witches.
  13. I know people are quoting it’s 1st v 4th and 2nd v 3rd. As it should be. However what we know about those in charge it can be changed to suit any circumstances. So let’s see.
  14. Riders will always put Poland first, sometimes before they are really ready. So it’s no surprise Becker pulled out of racing elsewhere. He isn’t the first, and won’t be the last. However some riders have form for this. Becker has never done before this from recent memory?
  15. Transfer window passed. But as it’s the Aces it will probably be allowed. 😉
  16. A better than usual meeting at Owlerton for a change with a handful of decent races. One of the worst tracks for passing usually. Good to see the changes working for the Tigers. Not many teams will fear the Aces over 2 legs, away from home they are basically a 2 man team. Lidsey had one good ride. The rest are pants away from the NSS.
  17. No different to when Brennan moved out the reserve berth when racing for Belle Vue. So yes RS can ride in the main body of the team .
  18. Each to their own. One of the best around. I’ve always found Porkie welcoming to away fans and visitors so thanks for confirming. The original Mr Wolf used to make the odd appearance during special occasions and was at the last meeting at Monmore. Still in the same outfit!
  19. I’ve always known him to have banter with all visiting fans. Never known him once say anything insulting in all my time at Monmore Green. If the Oz fans were insulted then fair point.
  20. Just caught up on this meeting earlier, decent meeting. Why oh why do we need the superheat? A draw is a draw. Nothing wrong with that. Only time you should need a superheat is if both teams are level on aggregate for the bonus. Looking like a Witches / Lions final this year.
