  1. Yea we know that. Just saying Wolves MIGHT be interested in using him!
  2. As a Wolves asset he might be wanted by his parent club.
  3. Graversen Smith Shanes Ayres Wajknecht Bailey Greaves Perks
  4. Indeed. That goes for all of them. Hopefully Greaves will score similar at home.
  5. Got to agree. Definitely has natural talent and born battler. We have several number sevens who really shouldn't be in the top flight yet so it's going to be very similar to the first year of the draft reserves. Shanes is certainly not the weakest number 7 and I wouldn't be surprised if he does okay. Likewise have watched him on several occasions over the past couple of seasons.
  6. You could apply that logic to several teams with foreigners in. Still pretty c@ap logic.
  7. Agree regards Jack. Birmingham isn't a small track.
  8. Bewley is definitely ahead already. And I believe we have a bright future with some great youngsters coming thru. I was only really using riders yet to prove themselves out the NL.
  9. Next generation of top flight heat leaders and world cup riders.Smith and JPB are exceptional, Hume has improved rapidly. Zack stalled a bit last year but still think he will do nicely in the future.
  10. Would seem a win win to me. Of course people can just download and print off their own sheets if cost bothers them that much. I prefer a programme and it's all part of the experience to me.
  11. exactly. It adds to the league having decent standard riders continuing on their speedway career at a less hectic schedule. I think the standard of the league itself is vastly improved and dare I say a much more professionally run thing. Some clubs coming into the league are adding to its standards also. Having been a part time fan of that standard league for a while I now see a lot more and that's what gives me most pleasure seeing the next generation progress. At Birmingham it was an absolute pleasure to watch the likes of Blackburn, Smith, zack, Hume progressing over the season and those 4 could well be in the world cup squad in 5 years time. Almost as pleasurable as watching my beloved Wolves win the title again. I'm not sure about that. Team's that have old hands as the dominant force have been few and far between the past couple of seasons. Looking at last year's line ups only Stoke had a more prominent older standard of rider, whilst the likes of Hay in his late twenties is only a recent convert. Most line ups had a good mixture with the prominence on youth and next generation.
  12. Good idea. People should be able to walk into any speedway office and buy a race formula for a nominal charge.
  13. Why? Some riders just aren't good enough to move up or are at the tail end of their career and happy to stay involved. Nothing wrong in that. Just like some riders aren't good enough to move up from 2nd division racing to top tier standard. All riders have varied abilities. No one should be punished for not being able to or wanting to move up.
  14. Then you missed out on a treat. More than double the amount of pages with some excellent pictures, coverage and interviews that made it a superb read. I know if people that have already ordered one who couldn't make the meeting. Much larger in size than usual, this was a top class programme by any standard.
  15. Yes Lakeside did. He had his first top flight chances with them. Poole contributed very little to his progress, he was ready in 2016 whoever he rode for.
  16. Delighted to hear he is okay. Shame about the equipment tho.
  17. Nothing wrong with his hand. Didn't pull out, and rode well. The feigned injury line was rubbish last year and isn't applicable this year.
  18. And much better today thankfully. Hopefully he is ok after a big get off tonight.
  19. Fair enough, however the point still stands that's several over the years have quit racing in the UK and team GB which means there is something not right going on at the top table! Think it's always been assumed that he could select either, didn't he make a thing of saying he was selecting to race for GB because he could when he first came over? So your post throws up an interesting point. I don't know the regulations and criteria for qualifying for dual nationality if anyone does? If true it would be an embarrassment for those who hold it over Tai and use it like a yard stick to beat him with.
  20. He has dual nationality so he can choose either. He has always nailed his flag to the UK mast and I don't see that changing. He has certainly done more for British Speedway than the BSPA have so we should be grateful of that. Whilst I don't agree with his stance on not riding in the National competitions I firmly lay the blame on that where it belongs, with the governing body.
  21. Brits are allowed to settle in Oz without losing their nationality.
  22. Think Wolves will edge it over the 2 legs but home wins for both clubs.
