  1. Or just RR or guest as has been the case for every other team in the play offs with injuries.
  2. Of course it’s relevant. Wolves were refused using Tai when both Freddie and Jacob had season ending injuries before the play offs. Somewhere either that’s been ignored or conveniently allowed for one team to benefit. obviously the rules are mostly nonsense hence why those clever promoters know exactly how to get around those loopholes. Obviously they don’t want to fully tighten them because it’s still all about self interest. Hopefully the ruling body will see what a mistake they made allowing a rider to be signed AFTER the deadline AND DURING the play offs. It’s a dangerous precedent they are setting to allow that to happen again. Its a total farce to allow a rider to sign ONLY for the only play offs when their contribution to the UK league is nothing. I read an article in an October SS that Lambert said he would be interested in riding in the UK in 2023 (despite adding a lighter schedule works for him) so I wonder how those negotiations are going? Looking at the bigger picture allowing a BRIT to return to the UK should be welcomed however it really sticks in the throat when in reality he has no interest in riding in the UK league anymore.
  3. The “regulation “ is as vague as it useless. Of course these “regulations” have been adapted and amended for any promoter who chooses to challenge it for their own benefit. Previously over abused by Poole and Matt Ford it seems Lemon has taken on that role of fudging the regulation. It will just need yet another amendment after the farce of bringing a rider in just for part of the play offs. Yes both Sheffield and Ipswich took advantage of this vague regulation and one may well say they might have abused the terminology but when has it ever been allowed to bring a rider in AFTER the play offs start? It’s never happened before so you have to question why now? If the regulation allows interpretation on the ‘proven long term injury’ line why have no other teams in the play offs been allowed to replace a rider before 2022. The play offs are littered with teams decimated by injury over the years ruining their possible chances of a title victory. Why have those season ending injuries never allowed teams to replace that rider before? Wolves had a season with both Freddie and Jacob have season ending injuries yet permission to use Woffy was denied. Seems there was no such thing allowed in the interpretation that year. Certainly seems it depends on who asks as to whether it’s a yes or no. Let’s be clear here. It’s the regulation/rule that’s the issue as well as the interpretation of that regulation. No doubt there will be changes and amendments after the Lambert farce of 22. That said some promoters will be looking at self interest at the business end of the season when they can potentially open a loophole to gain an advantage. sorry, that’s a total farce. A hollow victory in 22.
  4. Some article in SS or on BSPL (can’t remember which) confirming that change will happen. Being able to bring a new signing replacement mid play offs wasn’t in the rule book neither otherwise many teams before them would have used that particular rule (now known as the Belle Vue only rule) not that it ever was a rule which was pretty obvious.
  5. Plus given the fact the BSPL have closed that door for 2023 shows they knew the loophole had been exploited.
  6. Huge gamble who seems to have let his teams down badly in recent years. Only ever seems a match away from another ban. Big name on paper would be good for the league however along with KK another that takes the wee wee out of British soeedway.
  7. This is one meeting I hope to get to to see fast Fred.
  8. In the UK league there wouldn’t be much between them but I agree elsewhere. Nor me.
  9. Flint couldn’t ride MG in 2022 yet Wolves easily made the top 4. He is only going to get better. Cook I’m yet to be convinced about however his en of season scoring was quite impressive in the CL.
  10. No idea on the supposed signing rumours just going by what has been mentioned on here, not that the majority look hopeful however. 1. Sheffield - head and shoulders on paper and can’t see many teams getting close. 2. Belle Vue - not as strong as the Tigers but still stronger than the rest. A ringer in Lidsey certainly helps. 3. Wolves - solid again but will need the likes of Becker or Douglas to really step up and one of the reserves. Dark horses. 4. Leicester - decent top end. 5. Ipswich - will Emil really sign? Can’t see it personally however looks a long tail. 6. Peterborough - let’s hope the supposed rumours are true otherwise another long season for the Panthers. 7. Kings Lynn - Any team with KK at the top end is likely to struggle. Solid side tho. They will all need to step up.
  11. Cook doesn’t have a PL average yet so there is no average comparison other than the one he is starting one in the top flight. Time will tell who ends up with the better average come end of season. I hope both of them have a brilliant season which means Wolves will too. Flint is by far the better rider in the CL in 2022, his average shows that.
  12. Very much 50/50 on that. Nor did Fast Freddie…… didn’t stop him becoming one of the worlds finest.
  13. Late to the party on this thread. KK did mention in SS in July he wanted to be back in the UK in 23. Surprised anyone has actually taken the chance to sign him tho.
  14. But can get better. He is one of the best RS available.
  15. In fairness Kemp should have been the RS as Flint had already proven to be the better rider in 2021.
  16. That was my understanding also. Wolves had both Flint and Kemp wand both were on the RS list. However only 1 rider could claim that spot which was Flint. Just to add Sheffield look outstanding on paper. Can’t see any team listed so far getting anywhere near them.
  17. Nicol started on a 4, was elevated into the main team and finished on 5.23. Hardly a backfire.
  18. I read it the same, just a farewell to the RS scheme. Nothing more.
  19. I’d be happy if we signed Jonas Knudsen. Looks hugely promising.
  20. Yea it’s clear who you are, some things never change. Embarrassment doesn’t cut it.
  21. Dry your eyes until your next terrible prediction. Continue to stick your neck out and give us a titter. Ive probably got more important things to do than post rubbish predictions daily but it’s the little things that keep some people happy I guess. Anyway, thanks for the expected retort. Well done Wolves on an unexpected comfortable win tonight.
  22. Continue to look completely useless at predictions which of course is your right. Your continual slating of Wolves/reserves makes your responses predictable. Thanks for the regular giggles tho. Much needed in these tough times.
  23. Yet another rubbish prediction. Wolves reserves outscored the Tigers 8-7. Seem good enough tonight.
  24. Good point but could have been more. Great performance from Sam.
  25. It’s pretty easy to see why Sheffield are ranked outstanding favourites for the title this year. By far the strongest 1-7 this season. Aces not even close.
