  1. What on earth are you on about? It costs money to enter amateur meetings , not to attend. It costs me more money than it does to go watch. The point I was making is that no one needs to be starved of lack of speedway in the winter when there is an amateur series taking part. Did you miss that part?
  2. There seems an odd assumption by the governing body that this mystery 7 is set as a standard because Woffy came back on a REAL 7.03 so nobody should be judged any higher..... well except them giving AJ 9.03 last season. Talk about making it up as you go along! Wonder if the mystery 7 is going to stay in place for next season. Could be 6 could be 9 no one knows such is the non transparency of the BSPA.
  3. You can always try get yourself to some winter amateur meetings where it isn't uncommon to get 60 races in a day! Works for me!
  4. You are talking about his opinion as a broadcaster versus his opinions as a team manager/motivator. If he was slating the rules/other teams/ringers/dodgy dealings then he would probably be sacked. He has been critical of things in the past and that's all he needs to do. His role as a broadcaster has little to do with his involvement at Lakeside.
  5. Don't get why some blame the EL for its problems when it's a British league problem. Don't think I could ever walk away from something that has been a huge part of my life. Instead of going 2 or 3 times a week I go once a week now. Probably sounds a huge difference but having bought myself a bike I much prefer doing rather than watching these days. I get more of a buzz being on the track than on the terraces these days. So I guess my passion For the sport hasn't changed, just the way I support maybe has. Still feel the same passion for my team and hope that the EL is made much stronger as I believe it will entice more people back. But walking away? Never!
  6. Good attempt by Shovlar to try put a good spin on it, and failed as expected. The only recorded 6.34 average was by Shov, so stands for nothing. Not even the BSPA records from 2007 recognise it by omitting it for a reason.
  7. Troll off. I go watch speedway every week so yet another who has no idea what they are talking about.
  8. I have to say Kelvin has been remarkably unbiased when discussions or meetings involving Lakeside are concerned. Ultra professional. I don't see anything changing.
  9. I'd be happy to pay £20+ to see a proper elite league yes. You have to pay for better standard.
  10. Shush, I'm trying to decide which colour slacks go with my boob tube.
  11. I'm not a promoter so no. However I'd pay more entrance to watch them if that answers the question. It's no coincidence that crowds are down with the ever decreasing dwindling of the EL. Crowds have been reported up when Woffy has been in town so yes I believe crowds will improve. According to SS Tai is on 9.17, which is lower than Doyle 10.15, AJ 9.34, Iversen 9.22.
  12. Starke has had scores of 8 and 6 at Monmore whilst Newman scored well last time as he usually does. Starke would be a decent replacement and on a par.
  13. Emil should be on a 7 no more if we use the Lindback example.
  14. Team building rules may be different for next year but haven't been set yet. Plus with teams going to proposed 6 man teams there is likely to be different rules.
  15. Rules change so nothing is certain. It used to be GP riders came in on an 8 but that seems to have disappeared suddenly. Time will tell if Milik comes back in on his old average or not. No doubt he will get called a ringer like some did with Woffy if that's the case. The more top boys we have back the better.
  16. Shamek maybe interested but Piotr would be back with his parent club if he wanted to come back.
  17. Who can tell. It seems that 7 is the official line this month, it might be different next month. Shame the BSPA didn't recognise it at the time. It's about time they found some consistency to applying rules. Hancock kept his old average 2014, AJ re-assessed to 9.03, whilst a rider much better than AJ this season is assessed 2 points lower, ditto Dudek. That's a snap at the governing body, not any one club.
  18. His 2007 average isn't even listed. Only 7.94 http://www.speedwaygb.co/elgreensheets07
  19. In a perfect world no changes would be allowed up to a month before. However British Speedway is far from perfect. I'm sure most neutrals will be behind the Aces.
  20. Hancock wasn't 2 years ago, and AJ WAS (9.03) last year. Tai kept his 7.03 this year but others on a 7. Milik reassessed as a 7 tho, seems fair.
  21. Where are you getting that figure from when his last figure was 7.94? It a re-assessed reassessment ?
  22. Like Belle Vue wouldn't have made changes if the opportunity arose. Take the moral high ground if it makes you happy.
  23. I hear that Masters and Thorsell might have some injury concerns over the weekend. Wolves assets Nicki Pedersen and Piotr Pawlicki are on standby on converted averages to suit.
