Lakeside Vs Belle Vue, 21/9/16...
stevebrum replied to Ace no.5's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
As Pedersen and Piotr Pawlicki are Wolves assets I feel a couple of injury problems for Masters and Thorssell over the weekend. Or as it's called 'doin a Poole'. -
You would prefer Buck to Tungate at wolves? I think not. Anyway he isn't injured so it isn't an option thankfully. Pressure all on Poole after nearly topping the league. Particularly having the current World number 8 on a ridiculously low average. Mon the underdogs.
-
Nothing wrong with Buczkowski . How can he not be fight to ride next Monday but be okay for the Wednesday match. Just isn't possible.hopefully Poole aren't going to pick riders to suit. That would be against the spirit of sport or cheating in other words. Buzz WAS out with an injury but has now ridden a few times. So no excuses needed.

Wasn't the deal to buy him in instalments? Unsure if that has all been paid yet so could still technically not be owned by the Aces yet.

I was going by a previous comment that the Aces haven't scored 40 this year, on checking you are correct. So the Aces can ride well there then. Will amend to 46-44 -
Bomber To Leave Coventry

They are all economical with the truth. They rarely give an honest answer in interviews. Bomber has new plans that I'm sure of. -

KK would for Poole as he bleeds blue. He just rarely turns up for his other British clubs. Pressure definetly on the Aces but Lakeside could throw a spanner in the table toppers hopes. Aces I reckon will do better than either of their previous visits. 49-41 -
Trouble is the maths have been made to fit. AJ was brought back into British speedway last season on a re-assessed 9.03 which for a top rider and GP regular appears fair. Now for some bizarre reason it's suddenly been made public knowledge (by Poole) that re-assessed riders or new to British speedway will now be on a 7? Why wasn't this made known at the start of the season instead of suddenly when one club wants to bring in a rider for injury replacement that miraculously fits??! Nothing against any one club but plenty against those who decide these ever changing rules to suit. Why wasn't Tai re-assessed to 7 as well because those vital .03 points could have made a difference?

Congratulations to Lakeside but I'm surprised the Robins have been this poor. -

Looking forward to watching the updates to see who takes the final place. Good luck to both teams who wants it most will win. -
That's not nice, and when Poole brought in THJ a few seasons was exactly the same. By the same token I hope Poole get what they deserve too using your logic! ! Nothing.
-
But it wasn't tho, as he didn't ride enough matches for it to count! Or why Jonsson was re-assessed last year at 9.03?

Of course, I'd be more worried if you actually believed it tho. -
His is the only true average. At least Wolves use real averages
-
I'm purely using the words of others, wolves did everything by the book. I'd rather teams not be allowed to sign riders on low averages just because they want more meetings to suit them and to strengthen for the play offs or at least make the rules transparent. 2 years ago Hancock signed for Poole as late replacement on his OLD average. Last year AJ was re-assessed on 9.03. This year Lindback and apparently the likes of Vaculik and Dudek would be 7 as well. Totally made up year on year to suit . At least Wolves played fair by bringing in a rider on his real average when he too also should have been re-assessed 7. Wolves clearly weren't treated fairly.

Just checked that thanks. So the 7 is a 2016 thing then. Feel sorry for Lakeside.
