  1. Agree that Buzz is wrongly assessed as second string. However in the crazy world of BSPA logic second string Buzz starts as a heat leader whilst heat leader Lindgren starts as a second string. Could they have messed it up anymore?
  2. Thank god the thread was locked straight away then.
  3. It would have been better if nothing was said. Some must believe their posts are actually that important
  4. Only tier 1 riders can move up. Tier 2 are protected. That's been confirmed.
  5. more on a Wednesday??? I can recall 2 or 3. Hardly constitutes more. Who knows what the reason for the Stars changing their race night it certainly was rumoured of if being to suit one rider. Yet the stars run Wednesdays with Danes in their side for how long now?? I'd imagine Mondays and Wednesday or Thursday being the likeliest IMHO.
  6. Wednesdays appear irrelevant even to the Danish riders as the likes of Iversen, Bjerre, Porsing ride Wednesdays here. I agree a lot of supporters want regular speedway and those appear to be happy with any standard. Speedway needs that regularity no matter what country or league you are in. However the chunk of supporters who are dwindling are those that want a strong top flight. That chunk will be virtually lost other than the World Cup and Cardiff which is the point I'm making. The demand is still there as Cardiff proves. Don't get me wrong I'm a fan of Speedway, full stop and watch all levels including riding at amateur level. That won't stop even if the EL is no more. That said I will become a casual supporter like so many before me. Plus of course we will lose any credibility as a sport by having no top level league. Same for any sport. Take away the Premier league Football league and the sport would lose any credibility and a massive chunk of it's support. you can't have a meeting on a Monday to suit SKY unless Monday is one of the fixed nights which id imagine is a big possibility. Otherwise it would be a 3 day league which appears it has already been agreed 2 days are happening next year. SKY certainly have run some Tuesdays and Wednesdays but it appears Monday is the night that suits them best. Mess with that at your peril I say. We need SKY.
  7. I've only read that speedway isn't being considered for 2016, racing presumably.
  8. and time to wave goodbye to a large chunk of supporters too. the Cardiff GP proves that people want to watch the top boys racing. To suggest we don't need them in the UK is total tosh. Interesting comment about Fridays on none GP weeks. However Mondays are SKY nights and the riders would rush back knowing they will get exposure on TV IMHO. Are the promoters really considering dropping Mondays and SKY backing? I don't think so!!
  9. I doubt Friday is an option given how many PL teams run on Friday, plus clashes with GP's would be ridiculous. Wednesday and one of Monday/Thursday I would imagine are logical. However it's down to the promoters or more importantly the greyhound/non stand alone tracks.
  10. It's nothing like a fan asking something at all. Adams and other EL promoters speak to the top boys all the time about racing over here. And I'm sure they have a more professional relationship with the top boys than a casual fan. However you make a valid point that I'm not convinced either that all the top boys will suddenly appear in 2017. That could only be a pipe dream. However 2 set days is better than what currently doesn't work for most of the top boys. Some will be interested but until we fall in line with the rest of Europe it won't entice everyone.
  11. Peter Adams was asked to speak to all the GP boys and they were all keen.
  12. How do we know the riders won't come, it hasn't even happened yet. The top boys have been saying it for ages that they would be more likely to race on set nights in the EL. Poland have been the cash cow for years yet the majority of the top boys were still here up to the recent years. Clearly we haven't paid anywhere near as much in many a year yet it's only the schedule that has put a lot off recently. Obviously the amount of meetings will put some off however job sharing is an excellent way of enticing some of the back. If it means paying MORE to watch the top riders again then it's a small price to pay. I for one am hoping that the EL goes down the route that has been needed 5 seasons ago . The promoters have at last smelled the coffee.
  13. CVS gave no indication what the set nights would be. I'm only using 2016 dates.
  14. I'm only quoting what CVS said at the talk in. He said it would have happened for 2016 but for one team. so the plan is now for 2017. That is assuming the promoters all don't change their minds. However it was agreed that this is the way forward. Monday is the set night, Tuesday the off night.
  15. It would appear set for 2017. 2 set nights for the EL, the other 5 for the PL. I agree with you that more should be done to get EL standard riders rides abroad. There are too many riders forced to double down too make it pay when really they are too good for the PL. The PL on the flip side needs these riders as well otherwise as a league they would struggle yet some PL sycophants reckon it's the EL that is the problem league. Here is hoping ALL the leagues continue to find a way forward by working together. Hopefully some good will come out of it.
  16. As everyone seems full of self interest it could be any of the teams let's face it!
  17. If you take pinny's example then we are all thicko's for even attempting to check. I'm still trying to Stifle a titter at its post still. No idea what is available for the mobile. Not read a post yet that's not aggressive from it.
  18. What is clear is that they have been working towards helping the weakest so it seems it has to be a 100% agreement these days.
  19. CVS said that the promoter was already down close to sorting a deal with a rider and didn't want the option of a job share affecting the deal. You can't blame any promoter for wanting to tie up deals early on however in this instance I can't see how for fairness for all the jobs share wasn't voted in.
  20. The expected attack, nothing changes. But people who make humongous spelling mistakes aren't thick I guess. Only in the weird world of King attacker. Spellcheck is available on most computer devices as far as I'm aware and commonly used.
  21. At least I bother to use spellchecker. It's easy enough. We all make the occasional slip up. Some make them all so frequently !
  22. If one promoter says no then it's a no! In fairness they were trying to implement something when perhaps some (well one at least!) Was already too far down the line in team building. Thankfully the rider share / 2 nite EL is likely in 2017 tho.
