  1. Born in Scunthorpe says a different thing. Just to add good luck to Tai in the GP`s this season. No doubt the usual moaners will whine about his participation. He is in a tough GP field this season, but he is at least still on the rise. It wouldn't surprise me if he made the odd Semi or Final. Proud Brit and proud Wolf.
  2. Myself and a few others wrote emails to Sky Sports and we all had the same response. Still sounds like talks are ongoing?? Thank you for your email. The current deal has ended, and I’m afraid we are not in a position at this time to advise what will happen with the coverage next season as the first GP race isn’t until 23rd March. Regards Joanne skysports.com
  3. Absolutely delighted for Scunthorpe. Superb people involved in the club. You deserve the title this year. Much stevebrum love to all xx
  4. Who`s fault was it that it run to 9pm and SKY had to end its transmission?? Saying that i was a bit surprised as they usually cover the whole thing.
  5. A decent comeback after 3 dodgy rides. He needs to keep his form going with Antonio breaking into the top 8 and with AJ capable of a big finish. Nice to see Middlo reward Tai as our next best hope on the International stage by giving reserve spots to PL riders. Its clear his heart is with the Aussies. Shameful.
  6. Drat, i knew i would mix those 2 up. But yea was really looking forward to seeing Vadim last year. Yes i am aware Dudek missed the first round and as far as i was aware he is a genuine contender for the title. He certainly needs to get as many points if he wants to get on the rostrum but didnt look interested . Certainly if he is still carrying an injury then he probably wouldnt want to risk it but i was disappointed as i expected him to be making up points. The track WAS dodgy. Riders struggled through-out the meeting. However didnt stop some riders, like Zmarlik for example, for giving it there all because points are on the line to make up. Maybe that is being harsh on Dudek, but i expected more thats all so was disappointed.
  7. Nice to catch up with Gemini, seeing as she forgot our first meeting. We were trying to work out which Border Collie it was at the time! Lovely pleasant lady, as i expected. Not much in the way of racing and what a truly awful crowd for such a prestigious meeting. Always a joy to see so many travelling Poles and love their non stop support of their riders. Although saying that they dont like to lose. That certainly shuts them up. I was an honourary Panthers/Jepsen Jensen fan for the night as our support certainly shut them up! Bit juvenile tho to turn there backs when Newman won a race and in heat 14 when both Poles were excluded. Odd expression. Jepsen Jensen was the stand out. Mikkel B would have been a close 2nd but for his last heat. Whilst Shamek showed he still knows how to ride Coventry. His brother clearly doesnt even remember racing there. Newman did well even tho some of his points were gifted. Finished higher than 5 Poles, so i will take that. Dudek was a huge disappointment , maybe harsh to judge on a lottery of a circuit. But clearly not interested in the title. Double disappointed that Loktaev wasnt here as he missed the Poole meeting last year. STILL have to wait to see if he is as good as his international scores show. Good to see Richie Warroll watching the racing, still on crutches.
  8. I hope to god they dont flap around with pushing this meeting thru if rain is forecast. Heading off shortly.
  9. Keep weather update coming , really hope weather improves and looking forward to this.
  10. Wonder how the back is now KK? What is that you say, gone into spasm again and can`t ride for Poole?!
  11. Thats what i gathered. thanks all for the tips
  12. Thanks greyhoundp. Got those details just wondered if there was a sat nav detail i could put in! Im visiting tomorrow for a skid
  13. Is there a postcode for the track please or sat nav link tar
  14. Welll said, and well said Nigel. Calling a spade a spade and not sitting on the fence. Hopefully there will be changes next year.
  15. Just speedway racing please, not speedway shutting off off the 4th bend. Thank you very much. Oh and just a small tub of coleslaw, thanks
  16. Well we are all entitled to liking who we want arent we. However id wait for hell to freeze over before id join you in that like.
  17. It must a terrible thing to have to come to terms with , i mean admitting your a Nicki P fan. I think id rather admit to being a hoodie in the riots Its meant to be bad!! thats why its such a joke!
  18. Your entitled to your opinion as im mine. The RULE is cheating the sport and making it a farce. how can anyone defend riders shutting off off the 4th bend and blatantly trying to give away points and therefore suggest it is perfectly ok and doesnt bring the sport into farcial terittory is beyond me quite honestly. We are stepping into EL territory here.Play the rules to your favour but hate the rule for bringing the sport into disrepute. The WC was/has been our shining glory because of the thrill and spectacle it offers (albiet with the `joker` aspect) however after tonight the stupid joker rule has ruined and marred what should be a great night for speedway fans and a chance to show the viewing sporting public what a great sport we have. However it has highlighted that Speedway has become beyond a joke (great choice of words, not) and speedway racing has become who is best at shutting off before the chequered flag to win the greatest team accolade. My sport is being ruined, and no im not happy. You cant compare to other sports with those sporting analogies because they dont have to defend the possibility of there next goal, bat counting for double. Could you say Crump was defending his right to let his team go 6 points behind? definetly Did he `race` for 4 laps? Definetly. The only sporting analogy i can suggest is a striker heading for the goal that levels the match and a (opposing) defender picks up the ball and runs off with it. That would be plain stupid right?? Well thats my point. My sympathies are with you in this awful time.
  19. Ok, they are perfectly sensible rules. The sport is miles ahead of the rest for making such ridiculous rules look fantastically entertaining, better?! I lie, of course.
  20. Agreed. Doesnt mean the riders have to allow NOT racing to be introduced as part and parcel of the rules. The way speedway is going it will lose further credibility. The World Cup every year brings the best racing year in year out. It is something that any sports fans, or fan of team sports, can watch and enjoy and see just how great our sport is. However when you get riders shutting off before a race to throw it you cant expect anyone to take it seriously. At this moment in time im so glad the National Press dont cover the World Cup. They would have a field day with its nonesene rules. Joker (if at all) to be at least 8 -10 points at bare minimum. We all know that BSI wont drop it. They love it. But they seem happy to keep our sport as a bit of a joke. Why does it? No one ever said it would host the World Cup Final next year. I thought it would host a round at least and IF (when) GB get seeded then most likely the new stadium would host it. Well, thats what i assumed anyway.
  21. Exactly. And since when have the Czechs been anywhere near top 4 material??
  22. Prague to host the final? The Czechs seeded thru?? JOKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  23. Well im replying to your nonesense but it seems you are happy that tactical slowing down to a race is a good thing. Racing can and usually is tactical through-out a race. However slowing down should never be condoned or allowed. But of course in your world Crump is as guilty as Pedersen. No worries, i will stick with my own views and be comforted with the pages of distain for the Danes actions in heats 17 & 18.
  24. Best team won. Cheating ruled the day. World Cup ruined. NO MORE JOKER AND NO MORE SEEDING TO THE FINAL.
