With both Americans at reserve I wouldn’t be surprised however still think the chances are slim.

What has British Finals got to do anything? You would have to be poor to not qualify for one these days. Auty is older isn’t he so has more chance to qualify for more or gain a better average? Auty hasn’t been that standard of a number one in years, not taking anything away from what he has achieved in the past however.
-
That’s anyone’s guess. Last year riders with an average below 3 couldn’t ride in the top flight. Id imagine a 3 point average wouldn’t get a reduction if that stays the same.
-
You are confusing an experienced management team who don’t under build from past experiences with someone who runs Peterborough it seems. It was good for a laugh tho.
-
The more time goes on and announcements being made the more sense it seems someone like Fred or Greg could be heading the line up in 2020.
-
I grant you this year alone Wells was ridiculously awful and only just managed over a 7 point average for Edinburgh whilst Auty was higher on 7.61. So it’s a fair assumption that Auty has had a better season in 2019. However Wells has been a true number one at that level prior to this season and a dependable second string at top flight level. Auty has been on paper a poor number one at championship level with an average around 7ish, occasionally 8. As for next season I’d struggle to see any team taking a chance on Wells in the top flight unless the points limit dictates what they have available spare so I see the argument on what riders may be better option. Wells may hit back next season with a solid 2nd tier campaign and I’d expect him to average more than Auty if he did. Auty is what he is, a decent CL rider but a proven failure at top flight level. Ironically Auty had a better CL season than Howarth this season! Howarth has been ahead for a while prior to that tho. But let’s not start over that debate again tho eh?

Each announcement is starting to make the final 1 to 7 intriguing. It’s looking more and more likely that it’s going to be a big hitter at number one now so hopefully it will surprise many. By using the obvious duo of Masters and Thorssell would put us a couple of points under the limit and I can’t see CVS doing that. The tension builds!
-
Auty has been nowhere near the standard of Wells so a fair difference.
-
No thanks at Monmore. He was mostly rubbish like everywhere.
-
I’m already ahead with the amount of seasons we haven’t had big names back. So more like 4-2 to me. Keep hoping.
-
His average I don’t see as a steal either. Steady improvement I would expect, nothing more.
-
It would only be a mess if when the full line up is announced we are way below the points limit. Jumping the gun a bit hope it doesn’t make you look any sillier. Are you still banging on about 2 riders that have flooded our league with newcomers?
-
Couldn’t care less. We did ok with the side we had last year and it might be something similar so still looks strong to me. IF we land Freddie or someone similar as plenty of Wolves fans expect then I’m sure plenty will be happy with that. But It won’t happen because you ‘know for a fact’ don’t you.
-
Exactly. Nobody saw that coming. He has ridden several seasons in the 2nd tier without ever looking like a huge top flight moment was in the cards. Fluke signing but still a huge one in the scheme of things.
-
Exactly. He has been pretty awful in the top flight on previous occasions and it appears obvious why he gets overlooked time and again. A good honest rider that’s Championship material.
-
I’m sure Sheffield fans thought the same.

Official Facebook page already confirmed it’s tomorrow

We don’t know the ruling on that for next season. They have dropped the 1 over 8 rule already so nothing is definite yet.

Ditto Ipswich, Ditto Kings Lynn, Ditto Peterborough. What on earth on you about? Pedersen is in the twilight of his career and I’ve already said it’s exciting for British Speedway that’s he’s back. So where is the sniping? ive commented on Kildemand that has been echoed by other Aces fans. Are they sniping too? or pointing out he has had a shocking season and might not be the exciting talent he was last time he was here is just keeping it real without going overboard. Evidence has shown less and less top riders want to ride here or the clubs can’t afford them (whichever you believe). on the plus side tho it seems Eurosport may be the catalyst for some riders wanting to come back because it helps raise their profile. Id love to think more are to be announced and it would be a pure joy if that happens. Im a fan of a much stronger league so this is exactly what I want so it’s really not that hard to please me at all.
-
Kildemand has been awful this season so I’d add a side of caution before we get too excited about big names suddenly appearing in the top flight. On form he is awesome to watch and should be brilliant at the NSS assuming his bikes don’t look as slow as this season. It certainly seems the TV deal switching to Eurosport has reignited interest to those usually not interested in our top flight. Lets hope it isn’t the last of the bigger names back in our league next season.
-
No argument from me regards Newman. Completely used by Poole and dropped several times and did very little to bring on his career. However not many top flight teams promote and push the career of their British assets.
-
No issues. It was similar to the Polish reserve system where they stay in reserve all season long. Obviously a similar situation because some teams have much better juniors than others. Bringing on assets should be rewarded not penalised imho.
-
Perhaps not surprising news but must wonder if it’s in place of Fricke tho?
-
Woffy has already confirmed his plans for next year so won’t be him. Lindgren I hope, but can’t see it being Woffy. It was set at 4 for new overseas CL to PL as that’s what Kings Lynn were going to have to use for him this year. Rules could have changed because they have already dropped the only 1 over 8 average rule for next year. little surprised at the new of it being Broc but definitely appears to have improved massively. Certainly makes it look like a potential big hitter at number 1.

Absolutely agree. He owned Monmore within a few short weeks.
