  1. Any club that doesn’t go for a children and parent deal in the summer is beyond crazy. Get families with children is the lifeblood of all clubs.
  2. Not everyone can change work patterns just like that. The change of race night was always likely to alienate some fans who can’t make that change. Dont blame the fans who can’t attend tho.
  3. For me 1. Luke Becker - has settled into UK racing with ease and has produced some big scores. 2. Rasmus Jensen - turned Swindon from a decent side into a title winning one. Has been knocking about the 2nd tier for a few seasons now and couldn’t see what a difference he would make. Brilliant. 3. Cameron Heeps - was dreadful last season but such a different rider this year. Play offs exempt. 4. Ryan Douglas - back after a season away and stepped up big time for Leicester and made him hot property for the top flight. 5. Jordan Palin - another hot property that smashed the NL on his debut season.
  4. I hope the Panthers win this and get to the final.
  5. Well said. The likes of Kilby (Swindon/Birmingham) and Bishop (IOW) are doing a proper job of promoting. Thank god for these 2 who continue to show the dinosaurs how to promote. If every club had one of these involved at your club the sport would be dragging itself up by its laces. Kilby in particular (as I’ve worked under him at Brum) is about the most enthusiastic and nicest people you could meet.
  6. Was waiting for some sort of confirmation however they mentioned the GP next year at Cardiff so who knows. Kelvin and Nigel have been saying they have really enjoyed themselves with all the travelling the past few weeks. Maybe a hint but nothing seems clear. That we don’t know.
  7. With ease. Seeing them humiliated in the semis by the ‘fodder’ was the highlight. congratulations to Swindon, no one would have touched them in the Play Offs. Best team all season long.
  8. Assuming 8 teams....... 7 home matches 7 away matches ——————— top half/bottom half split 3 home 3 away ————————— play offs for top 4 - 1 or 2 extra matches bottom 4 race for positions 5-8. Giving at least 2 extra matches. thats 12 home matches race every other week = 6 months. add in a KO Cup competition or inter league competition if required.
  9. Or even start April, Play Offs end of September. 1 match home and away. adopt the Polish system of play offs for top half of the table and bottom half. a 10 week season is beyond crazy and none workable.
  10. Cough cough, Miedzinski, cough cough, Poole, cough cough Swindon asset. As Poole and others have proved, riders will go where they want when they want.
  11. Or very few in the Play Offs. Comedy gold at its finest. That’s Play Off speedway for you. Always brings out the crowds. Long live the Play Offs. just catching up on last nights match. Expected more from the Witches. Yet again track conditions proving pivotal when weather this time of year proves havoc to home track advantage. Time to get the Play Offs sorted mid September. We need the tracks and racing to be at there best.
  12. On paper everyone had us as favourites in March, and we looked good. Good form leading into the play offs then that dreadful performance has tainted our season.
  13. Absolutely correct. Why would we? We have riders, Wolves assets who are on a much more attractive average thanks. Total gating tart and settled at Poole, let’s hope he stays.
  14. They could have payed Lindgren, they took the cheaper option. Long may that be the case.
  15. I’m backing Ipswich to win because we will see a similar disappearance of a certain Poole fan in the same manner as 2010, and than can only be a good thing
  16. Decent and fair post Steve. The only slight issue some keep mentioning is about Jacobs away form. On the whole it hasn’t been as bad as people seem to suggest over the recent years. This season seems to have gone backwards since that injury but I’d inagine is a certainty if he wants to come back. His away average this year is 6.72, making him Wolves top away performer. Fully agree Col (had to happen somewhere!) Not many riders can be bothered to ride here anymore.
  17. He wasn’t that bad last year but has had very indifferent form this year that’s true.
  18. Had an iffy start to the season with his injury and took him a while to get going. On a low enough average for next year at least.
  19. Vissing outscored 5 of the Wolves side. Says it all. really, what was the point of coming into form to make the play offs to perform like this the past 2 nights. A total waste of time. Not one rider can take any credit over the 2 legs.
