  1. -- Employment laws does not have anything to do with it but the question is if this is regarded as a restriction of trade or similar. Most riders are self-employed by their own company and then rents their services to various speedway clubs. I don't think a sports federation legally can restrict a company from doing business in other countries or only allow them to do business in a certain amount of countries.
  2. I will update the main post as well but probably not as quickly as previous years, due to lots of work at college. http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=67537&page=1&do=findComment&comment=2028596
  3. Przedpelski have one year remaining of his contract with Smederna, For averages use: http://www.svemo.se/ImageVaultFiles/id_11344/cf_44/Ingangssnitt2017Elitserien_och_Allsvenskan.PD Also have in mind that there is no cap on the squads, only on the lineups,
  4. It has been expected for some time. Anyway I will try to keep this thread as up do date as possible but it won't be as quick as previous off-seasons since I have much less free time available now.
  5. Previous years it (Friends arena gp) has been held on September 24, 26, 27, 21
  6. Speedway rider Mikael Max (formerly Karlsson, brother of Peter "PK" Karlsson and Magnus Karlsson) have decided that tonight's meeting i Auburn will be his last laps as a professional speedway rider and that he will retire after the meeting. He writes the following on his facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/mikaelmax1973/videos/985349671576474/
  7. Fricke stays with Rospiggarna while Vaculik will leave. http://www.dagensvimmerby.se/sport/speedway/e/8077/nasta-chock-for-svensk-speedway-talangen-slutar/
  8. Yes a month ago: http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=67537&p=2844023 As well as a few days ago; http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=67537&page=78&do=findComment&comment=2857999 http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=67537&page=78&do=findComment&comment=2858108
  9. Fredik Engman takes a break from Speedway. The opposite goes for the Linköping based team Filbyterna who aims to have a youth team next season and then a 500cc team in 2018. http://corren.se/sport/filbyterna-pa-**-tillbaka-om4322656.aspx
  10. For Sweden; http://www.svemo.se/ImageVaultFiles/id_11344/cf_44/Ingangssnitt2017Elitserien_och_Allsvenskan.PDF The difference between the list above and the list below is that above list is the official averages which used for next season's team building. The list below includes the play off which is not counted in the official averages above.
  11. Västervik will likely (?) have one of the semi finals, at least negotiations are ongoing . http://www.vt.se/sport/speedway/elitserien-har-sparat-ur-tyvarr-om4313349.aspx
  12. Joel Andersson moves to Masarna. http://www.sydnarkenytt.se/kumla/artikel/joel-laemnar-indianerna#.V_Jq5MnDajB Valsarna have decided to pull out of Allsvenskan. http://www.vf.se/sport/speedway/just-nu-valsarna-drar-sig-ur-allsvenskan
  13. That is not what I said. I said that the new averages will be imported and then adjusted depending on the strength of the league, not that the rider should be given the exact same average And it is much better and more fair then BSPA giving a rider a "random average" based on what they think he should have. With a fixed conversion rate, every new foreign rider get his average calculated the same way, by BSPA using the same metrics for every rider, Whether or not the given average is likely to decease or increase is totally irrelevant when calculating a new average. That is for the interested team to take into account when they want to sign a new rider. It is nothing BSPA or any other federation should interfere with. The rider comes with a take-it-or-leave-it as is average.
  14. Quite possible. Actually googled and found this thread : http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=20477
  15. A fixed average conversion system similar to what Svemo uses. Each foreign league gets a fixed value based on the strength compared to the British league. Then each new foreign rider gets their home league average translated to a British average based on the leagues strength value.
  16. Puk is Danish for puck. NKI was hit in the head by a puck when he was young.
  17. Yes and no. A slight reduction in meetings for the riders might be a good idea but it shouldn't be a national federation that decides such things. Two meetings/week is also too strict. It should be 3 meetings/week+GP or SEC. With three meetings/week the riders can do Elitserien+DK+PL or Elitserien+Allsvenskan+PL or Sweden+DK. Many Swedish riders are doubling up, which increased the status and popularity of Allsvenskan when riders like Ljung, Lindbäck, PK, Zorro (retired now), Thorssell, Kim Nilsson..., also rides for an Allsvenskan club.
  18. technically they can geo-block the stream so that it isn't available in Poland but I think that could easily backfire though.
  19. Yes until a GP is rained off and the Elite League's Monday fixtures are cancelled.
  20. Robin Aspegren have decided to quite. http://www.vetlandaposten.se/article/aspegren-tvingas-sluta-efter-ess-beslutet/ He mentiones the new agreement as the reason. Anton Rosén also decided to quite a while ago.
  21. Vargarna is the first team to take a stand for Swedish speedway. Lejonen threatened to pull out of the ESS (sort of the Swedish equality to BSPA) if ESS did not lower the agreed number of Swedes from 3 to 2. Dackarna said that they didn't like the decision but still voted for it "to preserve the unity in ESS". http://www.vargarnaspeedway.se/medlemsmoten/vi-tar-stallning-for-svensk-speedway/ http://www.dagensvimmerby.se/sport/speedway/e/8012/darfor-stallde-sig-dackarnas-representant-bakom-beslutet/
  22. As said before, in this or in the other thread, the issue isn't the race days. The issue is that riders ride every day of the week and then becomes injured because they are exhausted.
  23. It seems that he changed his mind then: https://twitter.com/EmilRacing89/status/782273575696867328
  24. Emil S have signed for Piraterna. He turned down Vetlanda because they supposedly did not offer enough money. http://www.vetlandaposten.se/article/nobbade-elit-vetlanda-klar-for-konkurrent/ http://www.vetlandaposten.se/article/stjarnan-nobbar-elit-vetlanda/
