No rain is expected in the forecasts but that's what they said about the past Friday as well and well they were wrong.
  2. Should not have to re-run this heat, positions were quite firm so heat should have been frozen.
  3. I don't know but according wikipedia, methanol was originally made from wood but "modern" methanol fuel is made from Methane gas (extracted from natural gas), however no sources are cited although Encyclopaedia Britannica also says the same.
  4. Smederna will test a new type of methanol today. This type is developed by Luleå University. http://eskilstunasmederna.se/eskilstuna-smederna-testkor-svensktillverkad-gron-metanol/
  5. he have had a tough start to this season. Didn't even qualify for Polish U21 final or semi final. Haven't done well in the leagues either.
  6. Yeah it is very hard to loose a rider during the meeting. The issue also seems to have been the lack of gate after heat 8 since they had to start by light. Apparently it didn't work very well. Lots of restarts due to unsatisfactory start, some riders deliberately jumped the start (and apparently got away with it) others were playing it safe. I've said it before and I'll say it again. The introduction of transponder in speedway are long overdue.
  7. Possible live stream on Thursday. http://malmotv.cleeng.com/gnistorna-vastervik/E310789558_SE
  8. Indianerna-Dackarna is next week's televised meeting.
  9. Reserves can replace any of the other riders at any time BUT they are restricted to max 6 heats each and they also have to ride in at least three of their scheduled heats. Positions are also not permanently fixed for an entire season so KK will only do another 6 heats until his floating average will become official at which he will move up to a 1-5 position and Kim Nilsson or Kylmäkorpi will be moved down depending on who's floating average is the lowest, From what's been communicated, the aim is to field a line-up that is as strong as possible both home and away but for a few selected meetings that they in advance don't see themselves winning, they opt to rest Zagar and Laguta. Michelsen and Przedpelski was really bad last week so they opted for Lebedevs instead of Pawelek this week.

  11. In 2014 he was given a freebie pass over allot of other higher ranked riders because ´"he was nearby", I don't think he would be given the same benefit this year. @f-s-p, that's correct the challenge is held at Vetlanda.
  12. The Danish riders who have qualified are: Frederik Jakobsen Fjelsted Andreas Lyager Slangerup Patrick Hansen Glumsø Mikkel B Andersen Brovst Emil Grøndal have been awarded a wild card. Don't know which rider who will ride where though.
  13. At the moment, none. TV2 Danmark might show the two individual Danish championship finals and the league final.
  14. As mentioned before the Swedish riders will be Christoffer Selvin, Alex Johansson and Joel Kling
  15. It seems I made the right choice then, choosing icehockey on the tv (Sweden is currently 4-1 up against Denmark) over the speedway.
  16. You mean pretty much like every other professional league sports player/rider/athlete, who will play/ride for whoever offers the biggest paycheck?
  17. No official coverage as far as I know but check this thread for more info: http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=81163
  18. I've seen some conflicting results. Which one is the correct? Espeedway have Sundström as 8th with Thomesen 9th while Sportowefakty have Sundström as 9th with Thomesen 8th. Then Sportowefakty have Vaculik 5th, THJ 6th and Lebedevs 7th. Espeedway on the other hand have THJ 5th and Vaculik 6th. Which one is correct? Accordingt o Spfy there have been two run offs, for 2nd place and for 8th. So I assume spfy is the correct? Run-offs resulted in 02. Bech 11+3 03. Lahti 11+2 04. Karpov 11+1 08. Thomesen 8+3 09. Sundström 8+2 10. Tarasenko 8+1 http://sportowefakty.wp.pl/zuzel/wydarzenie/60476 http://www.live.espeedway.pl/race_detail.php?id=5067
  19. Theoretically he might be given a wild card to the GP challenge final in Vetlanda so he still might have a chance to qualify.
