Speedway Champions League ?
Ghostwalker replied to PolskiZuzel's topic in International World of Speedway
I disagree slightly. IMO Munkebo is (on paper) sligthly stronger then Belle Vue. Bjerre, Andersen and especially Larsen are quite good riders. Smolinski is not that good but probably have some pretty descent experience with the track. -
Tv Coverage Of Swedish League 2016
Ghostwalker replied to racers and royals's topic in International World of Speedway
I agree but I can to some extent understand ESP as well. Based on what the Dutch ESP told me, ESP has been very unhappy about the feeds from Sweden, allot of delays due rain or crashes and etc. Is it on or off? When is there a decision on whether the meeting is on or off and etc. From that perspective I can understand why ESP are reluctant to show it live. -
The annual Vetlanda team cup will be held this weekend. Here are the lineups. The finals will be broadcasted at Vetlanda Posten's website.. http://www.speedwaynyheter.se/2016/04/14/laguppstallningar-vetlanda-lagcup/ ...and here are some who have been a bit naughty as far as Skatteverket and the court are concerned, It actually happened 8-9 years ago but the case haven't been settled until a few days ago: http://www.tranastidning.se/article/dom-om-speedwaypengar-star-fast/ http://www.hogstaforvaltningsdomstolen.se/Domstolar/regeringsratten/Avg%c3%b6randen/2016/April/4594-4595-14.pdf

Tv Coverage Of Swedish League 2016

Why don't they show the full meetings on Eurosport player? Even if the tv-schedule is clogged, there is no limit for amount of events that can be shown on ESP player. -

Anyway here is the official line-up: https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=525325420973551 There are five available places to ride for and one wild card. My prediction: Kildemand Madsen Andersen MJJ Larsen Wild card to Mikkel Michelsen or Mikkel Bech (didn't he drop the Jensen part of his last name?). -

Perhaps it's just me but I think that all national riders' (swedish riders in Sweden, Danish in DK and etc) participation in their home league should take precedence over any foreign league meeting unless their team expressively give them all green to ride somewhere else. SGP/SWC/U21 WCH/ U21 SWC and qualies to those should obviously be expected and have a higher priority. The problem is that there is a league meeting in either Sweden, Denmark, Poland or Britain every day (unless there is a GP or equivalent) which means that it usually is very difficult to find suitable dates to put rained off meetings since "all" riders are occupied with a meeting somewhere else. Therefore a team shall be able to decide that their national riders are needed in the postponed meeting and that they therefore have to ride in the postponed meeting. -
Speedway Champions League ?
Ghostwalker replied to PolskiZuzel's topic in International World of Speedway
Well that is the issue with SCL. Team strengths are too different and if (the weaker) teams are allowed to "strengthen up" well then the whole point, of which is the best teams, is lost. IIRC the Speedway champions league is a British idea so don't blame the Poles for this one. According to this post by Skidder1, the Poles actually seemed to be against the idea at first: http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=75598&page=1&do=findComment&comment=2398374 -

Ok. No I have not seen an actual license/contract, only what the (official) rules say and "historic cases" like with Zorro last season. I also have a weak memory that Andreas Jonsson skipped the SM-final one year towards the end of the last decade but I am not sure. -

It's not an assumption, it based on the information in the rule book(s), which say that a rider that have entered national qualification meeting are obligated to show up but it does not say that it is mandatory to enter (rule 1.3). For SM the rules (10.12.*) specify how to enter but again no mention of that it is mandatory to ride. As for riding abroad the conditions for obtaining a starting permit from Svemo is specified in rule 1.4 where it says that riding abroad (league or open meetings) is not allowed to affect the rider's participation in the Swedish league system, national or international championships (including the qualifiers for that) However as I wrote earlier, Zorro entered the qualification to the 2015 Individual Swedish championship, but then decided to pull out citing "personal reasons", see this link, and Zorro did not receive any kind of fines or suspension for that. I don't think any license requires you to actually enter the national championship. In last season, Magnus Zetterström entered but pulled out of the Swedish championship qualifier without any consequences since it's not mandatory to participate but had pulled out to go ride a league meeting in Britain or Poland or Denmark, he would have been faced with a suspension since he would have violated the permission to ride abroad. So riders are allowed to decline to participate as long as they don't ride somewhere else instead. -

For a rider with a Swedish license, the participation in foreign league or meetings shall not interfere with the rider's participation in the Swedish league system or other championship meetings (which includes qualifiers to those). THJ did it a couple of years ago, he had agreed to a nomination to ride in the SGP qualifiers but then decided that it would mean that he would miss the Polish league meeting the next day so he decided to skip the qualifier which earned him a ban. You can read the rule (1.4) in it entity at: http://multi.mediapaper.nu/Pdf/?PubId=495F29390A5F1AA87112A4F533E2737C -

It have been solved. The wild card have been recalled and the meeting have been moved to Tuesday April 19th. Which means that MJJ can ride in Poland but will have to qualify like the others. They will race for 5 available places and then a wild card will be handed out after the meeting. The solution is the same as the former national team manager wanted to use in the first place. http://www.fyens.dk/sport/Speedway-konflikt-loest-wildcard-trukket-tilbage/artikel/2974008 -
Västervik have bought a new airfence that can be dugged own a bit to prevent crashing riders from getting underneath it. The old fence have been sold to the speedwaytrack in Örebro, don't know though if it's for the 85cc track or the 500cc track. http://sverigesradio.se/sida/artikel.aspx?programid=86&artikel=6406102

DMU and the riders threathening to boycott next week's qualifier will meet tonight to discuss things. DMU is represented by DMU-boss Jørgen Bitsch and kommission manager Stefan Kristjansson. The riders are represented by Hans Andersen and Bjarne Pedersen. Jørgen Bitsch said that they need to be aware of the "juridical consequences" of the possible solutions that they will discuss. Hans rode in England yesterday and have another meeting tomorrow but decided to get back home for this meeting. http://www.fyens.dk/article/2973946 -
