  1. A nice gesture from Rzeszów, https://www.facebook.com/KenniLarsenRacing/posts/1087893417900766
  2. I would assume that the stream would be blocked in those countries that have a television deal Live streaming of live events on YouTube isn't really something new, DTM have done i for years, Airbus have done the same with important events such as press conferences and first flights for new Aircraft models.
  3. Photographic evidence that the speedway season is almost here: http://sverigesradio.se/sida/images/87/3679545_2048_1152.jpg?preset=article This picture is from this morning and is taken just outside Nyköping.
  4. Well Apparently not. Munkebo - Fjelsted that was supposed to have been held tomorrow is postponed due to waterlogged track and forecasts of more rain tomorrow evening. http://www.fyens.dk/sport/Vaadt-foraar-Munkebo-aflyser-lokalopgoer/artikel/2986159
  5. The door is not closed says Anders Secher regarding if he will return to the position as national team manager for Denmark. http://www.bt.dk/sport/speedway-landstraener-efter-moede-doeren-er-ikke-lukket
  6. The defected team manager may soon be back as team manager for the Danish national team. Talks where held today between the involved parties. http://www.fyens.dk/sport/Efter-traener-opsigelse-Saa-er-speedwayens-krisemoede-begyndt/artikel/2985123
  7. Kildemand is doubtful for Saturday. Still haven't recovered from his injury. http://www.fyens.dk/sport/Kildemand-er-tvivlsom-til-VM-grandprix/artikel/2985015
  8. Agree. Johannes is injured though. Broke a finger during practice (IIRC) and will be sidelined for another three weeks or so.
  9. Swedish nominations: http://www.svemo.se/sv/Grenar/Speedway/Nyheter/NomineringavforaretillJVMKvaliSpeedway2016/ Pardubice: Kenny Wennerstam & Joel Andersson. Manchester: Christoffer Selvin, Alex Johansson & Joel Kling
  10. I live downtown and have about 12km to the track. About 15-20 min by car or around 30 minutes with the speedway bus.
  11. Except for obvious things as good racing and sunny weather I want: 1. scrap tactical substitute 2. Make an international standard for R/R such a mandatory off period for any rider that uses a sicknote to allow his/her team to use R/R. In such cases the rider will not be allowed to ride for the following 6 days in any league/open meeting. Pretty ridiculous when rider call in sick/injured and rides 1-2 days later. 3. Fewer grading breaks. In normal circumstances only 3 breaks should be needed accordingly to the following "schedule": Heats 1-4 - short grading break - heats 5-8 - longer "half time" interval with a longer track grading break - Heat 9-12- short grading break - heat 13-16. Obviously sometimes, due to weather conditions, additional track grading breaks might be needed. 4. 16 heat formula. In Sweden we used to have 16 heats, where heat 16 was the two best scores from each team (excluding reserves) and heat 15 was the team managers choice where he could use any two riders he wanted except for the two best scorers. 5. Engines and silencers that can handle "proper" grip on the tracks, 6. More professionalism from the clubs regarding preparations for bad weather such as track covers and actually studying the actual weather then blindly trusting unreliable weather forecasts. 7. Mandatory transponders for all elite tracks, FIm meetings (SGP/SEC/SWC qualies, U19/21 WCH/ECH) and riders. Would eliminate the problem with "uneven starts". Those riders who relies on rolling starts will soon find out that it no longer will be possible. 8. No return to pits after "uneven starts" or TT unless there is a problem with the start tapes or it's mechanism. 9. Very strict enforcement of the 2 min rule. Two minutes is 120 seconds nor 131 or 123 second. If a rider is late he/she is late and shall therefore be excluded. 10. Better airfences. IMO airfences is a very good safety feature but they can be improved since they bounce up too much. Västervik will try a new type of af this season, an af that is supposed to not bounce up on impact. We'll see if it works better then the "regular" versions. 11. I dislike how riders on gate 3-4 when having a little bit of poor starts, still try to go around the other riders despite that it's obvious that there is no room just so that they can get an all4back restart. It causes unnecessary delays and I consider it unsportsmanlike conduct. 12. Better collaborations between the 4 top nations when it comes to league planning. Riders should always prioritize their home league when there is fixture clashes due to postponed meetings. Also try to schedule off days so that teams in the different leagues have days when all riders are available. 13. If possible try to internationally standardize the league rules so that the rules as much as possible are the same regardless of which national league it is. Like heat schedule and heat 15/16 rules. Understandably rules regarding average cap/squad system/non-squad system is likely better of as independent for each league.
  12. Apparently, there are large problems with the track in Munkebo.. The problems with a waterlogged track have been caused by rising groundwater as well as lots of rain. http://www.fyens.dk/modules/mobile/article?articleid=2983320
  13. Kildemand apparently had two broken ribs from his crash in the Danish qualifier but as you could see, he tried to ride anyway tonight which obviously didn't work. http://www.fyens.dk/modules/mobile/article?articleid=2982772
  14. Article from the German motorsite speedweek: https://translate.google.com/translate?hl=sv&sl=auto&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.speedweek.com%2Fspeedway-racing%2Fnews%2F90957%2FSpeedway-World-League-Wie-Wolfslake-betrogen-wurde.html The idea seems to keep the event at Wolfslake but sometime later in the year where already bought tickets still would be valid but plane and train tickets would be a different matter.
  15. Smederna arranged this season's first practice at Smedstadion earlier tonight, https://www.facebook.com/ikarossmederna/videos/1019427311484090/ https://www.facebook.com/ikarossmederna/videos/1019428058150682/ https://www.facebook.com/ikarossmederna/videos/1019429384817216/ https://www.facebook.com/ikarossmederna/videos/1019430608150427/ https://www.facebook.com/ikarossmederna/videos/1019440341482787/ https://www.facebook.com/ikarossmederna/videos/1019442661482555/
  16. I read (and translated with google) some of the comments and some speculated/insinuated that it was cancelled due to poor ticket sales.
  17. I read that as well. It said that yesterday, the track met all requirements made by both WSL and FIM. So how does a track goes from ok to not ok in 24 hours? What was ok yesterday but not today? I feel sorry for WLS since it seems that they have spent allot of work (and likely money) to get the track up to standards just to become screwed over by FIM in the last minute. Of course if the track have issues that cannot be fixed in time they shouldn't go ahead anyway but should obviously postponed it. However these things must have been know already when the track was chose to hos WSL but likely the FIM didn't care to have a look and just approved it without bother to check the standard of the arena.
  18. I don't know but shouldn't WSL and FIM have been aware of this when they chose the host venue?
  19. Official FIM press release: http://www.fim-live.com/en/article/2016-fim-world-speedway-league-postponed/
  20. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CgeyUsuUkAAiTDk.jpg Postponed since track and/or facilities does not meet FIM standards.
  21. Dudek will be wild card according to SF. Maksym Drabik and Pavel Przedpelski to be track reserves. https://translate.google.com/translate?hl=sv&sl=pl&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fsportowefakty.wp.pl%2Fzuzel%2F595481%2Fznamy-dzika-karte-na-grand-prix-w-warszawie
  22. The crash in heat 3: http://sport.tv2.dk/motorsport/2016-04-20-se-det-uhyggelige-styrt-her-bliver-dansk-speedwaykoerer-koert-over Another article: http://ekstrabladet.dk/sport/anden_sport/motorsport/speedway/feltets-aeldste-vinder-omstridt-speedway-kvalifikation/6047902
  23. Well HNs was awarded the wild card. https://m.facebook.com/EsbjergMotorsport/posts/527348387437921
  24. The rights to show footage in news is likely bought from Sky since that is how it usually works.
