  1. Joonas Kylmäkorpi is injured and will be replaced by Covatti in Güstrow.
  2. It really doesn't. There have been many meetings that have been decided due to one team being able to use tac-subs while the other wasn't. Tac subs benefits top heavy teams since they can replace the non-performing riders. IMO it doesn't fill any purpose. 6 points is a too small difference and if the difference would be bigger like 12 points it's not likely that using a tac subs would do much to close the gap since it usually means that the entire team is not performing which means that a team likely doesn't have any riders to use as a tac-sub anyway. If tac-subs where to be removed, it would be more "fair" to build different types of teams. You could built a top heavy team which would rely on the top riders to score the majority of the points or you could build a more balanced team which would rely on all riders to score 6-7 points each. Tac-subs benefits the top heavy team since they always can replace the second string riders with tac-subs. I don't think it's a fair rule since it allows one team to give their best riders extra heats while the winning team have to use it's worse riders.
  3. Shouldn't be used at all. No tac subs, no r/r no put in a reserve for T/T. Just 7 riders doing 4 heats each (except for exclusions) + nomination heat.
  4. Perhaps but GP is different thing. King evidently have performed in a SWC event before even if it only was a semi final many years and not a race off/final.
  5. DK have done it before when one of the semi finals where held at Pboro.
  6. I have checked the rules and as far as I can see, it only says that top 8 in the overall classification are qualified. It does not have anything specified for a scenario where a substitute rider finishes top 8. http://www.fim-live.com/en/library/download/57331/no_cache/1/
  7. Iris, I also remember when Hans finished top 8 but his point wasn't counted. I am not sure but I think the rules have been changed so that reserves now are allowed to qualify by finishing top 8.
  8. Danish squad http://dmusport.dk/dmu/nyheder/nyhed/dato/2016/06/23/spw-pressemeddelelse-speedway-vm-bruttotrup-med-staerke-kort/
  9. Västervik will host an individual meeting next week. http://www.speedwaynyheter.se/2016/06/22/toyota-cup-kors-vastervik/
  10. Thanks. I haven't even seen it myself yet. Was away on Tuesday afternoon and wasn't home until after 8.
  11. Szymon Wozniak and Artur Czaja are sacked by Piraterna and are replaced by Robert Miskowiak and Damian Balinski. http://www.speedwaynyheter.se/2016/06/17/wozniak-far-lamna-piraterna-polack-ersatter/
  12. This Saturday's qualification to the Individual Swedish U21 final have been cancelled due to lack of interest from the riders. http://www.svemo.se/sv/Grenar/Speedway/Nyheter/JuniorSMkvaletiSpeedwaystallsin/
  13. Dennis Jonsson who is riding for Valsarna, broke his neck a couple of days ago. He is expected to recover fully but will be out for the remainder of this season. He is replaced by Jooa Partanen. I have never heard about him before but according to the article he is a former Finnish U21 championship silver medallist. http://www.speedwaynyheter.se/2016/06/15/partanen-klar-valsarna/ So F-S-P what can you tells us about him?
  14. Emil is back. He have declared himself 100% fit for fight. http://www.vetlandaposten.se/article/gladjebeskedet-sayfutdinov-tillbaka/
  15. Transfer window is open. http://www.speedwaynyheter.se/2016/06/15/transferfonstret-ater-oppet/ Piraterna will likely make a change and possible Smederna as well (imo they need to replace Kenni).
  16. FNC Gnistorna have decided to pull out from both Allsvenskan and Div1 this season due to increasing financial difficulties. They are a very old club who after many years in hibernation started up again in the end of the previous decade with a team in Div1 and then together with Smederna moved up to Allsvenskan for the 2011 season. However they have had problems with attracting any descent number of spectators and sponsors. Last week they only had 300 paying spectators so to avoid crashing the club completely they have decided to pull out. They are located in Malmö (Sweden's 3rd biggest city) which in itself is located at the south western tip of the southern most province in Sweden called Skåne (Scania) and they don't any other "rivalling" speedway team anyway near. Lejonen is the closes speedway team (in Sweden) some 220km away. It seems to be the same problem with Malmö as with Göteborg and Stockholm where there no longer are any active teams in Allsvenskan or Elitserien. In general the bigger cities (let's say 15 biggest cities) have either not team at all or a team that is either struggling one way or another or just a team in div1. http://www.gnistorna.se/aktuellt/nyheter/20160613-sasongen-avslutad/
  17. Emil S will practice this week and if everything goes well, he will ride in Sunday's meeting between his Leszno and Tarnow. http://www.speedwaynyheter.se/2016/06/14/comebacken-narmar-sig-sayfutdinov/
  18. Peter Ljung is insinuating that allot of riders cheat with their equipment in the leagues while the same riders only manage "normal" performances in the GP. Since in the GPs engines/equipment are closely scrutinised but in Poland/Sweden nobody seems to bother. I presume he means carburettors with carbys? https://twitter.com/LjungPeter/status/741709352160071680
  19. Emil says "soon soon": https://twitter.com/EmilRacing89/status/741501960185077760
  20. Requires log in and only available method of payment is paying with a credit card issued in Denmark.
