In what way did Championship clubs get to big for their boots? Why would 2027 come back & bite them?

Why would it be a drop? Depending how you want to build a team, you can have a 4.00-4.50 at No7 & it doesn't have to be a Brit. The Premiership should be the pinnacle of British Speedway, not a fast track for the bang average. If young Brits want to reach the top, try averaging 7+ at Championship level first. Rising Stars in the Premiership has been a failure. Don't forget the 25% given to the RS's, if all got re-employed in 2027, it would be an increased to team strength, not a decrease.

Correct, I'd set the 40.00 for all 1-7, removing the Rising Stars for me is a must in 27.

2027 (Premiership continuing) will be an important season for the fans. Think there is an important list of rider's to avoid. Freshening up is of huge importance. Iversen, Klindt, Cook, Kvech, Lawson are the few that shouldn't be in contention. obviously it's a huge ask but I'd like to see all the stops pulled out for a return of Robert Lambert. If they can, Fricke remaining also and try and get Lidsey as 3rd heatleader.

Take Doyle out for Lambert and I'd pretty much take that as a team. As a King's Lynn fan, keeping Rushen is obvious. But, if I was managing Cooper, I'd be asking the management their 2027 plans now, saying my lad wants better riders and I'd absolutely be on the phone to Belle Vue daily to get him the gig there in 27.

What do you want as fans?? Rider's you want to keep, re-sign and who you'd never want to see in Stars colours ever again?? Keep or scrap 'Rising Stars'? What's you current dream 1-7 (40.00)? Realistic 1-7 (40.00)? What you think the club would do (40.00)?

The track being different week by week is irrelevant imo. That in itself should make meetings more entertaining - a level playing field shouldn't it?? We've all seen the social media videos of passing around the AFA. Most probably being Rushen & Harris so what does that say? When you have a 60yo & 10yo providing entertaining it's evidence passing is possible, it's about 'wanting it'. King's Lynn absolutely is about risks. King's Lynn certainly could do with having at least 5 loose cannons in the team, wild and aggressive mentality. For me, it's certainly what the management should look at for 2027. Even looking back to our 2nd tier teams, they were often loaded with attacking, aggressive rider's. My call to the King's Lynn management would be simple, "mentality monsters". The No1 & No5 safe & silky, everyone else, hungry & aggressive. That's the ingredients for success around King's Lynn.

Deliver that, wouldn't that benefit Cook & Kvech also?? Yet, when another club suffers injuries they manage to find someone. And needed capability is subjective. If you've got a team not delivering at least be entertaining. If you have riders happy to sit in position on track if they miss the start, get rid. I'd much rather see a 5 pointer risking life or death every week that someone being a 7 pointer and not bothering. What's the point in Fricke, Cook and Kvech to be losing at home anyway?? To fans, 100% blood and guts and they would love them. Effort count for everything.

Who is at fault for that?? It's not up to Fricke as to whether he is employed or not. This management accepts failure for as long as fans keep turning up. No rider can be accountable, change is the responsibility of the management.

What's the future?? _________________________ In terms of blame & future, King's Lynn is a club just existing. That's it, existing. This management has a clear proven record of not even trying. Giving fans zero hope or giving anything back. Year after year it's a clear take, take, take message from King's Lynn Speedway with the full understanding that you'll all be back next year anyway to sup up more pain. There will be a time when fans turn on their heels & say "fack you". It's coming. Let's be frank here. 2026 is an embarrassment. Ipswich's existence was dead almost right up to March but yet they still managed to scrape a team together to still be better than King's Lynn. The only blame for that is King's Lynn's management, refusing to be aggressive & removing poor performance.

Here we are again year in, year out, and the fingers firmly pointing at the wrong people. Not a single rider can be or should be blamed. They do not pick themselves. This is all on the management 100%. They sign them, choose riding order, refuse to sack them when it's deserving. King's Lynn is a pocket money holiday club for rider's that can earn without consequences & become more attractive to better clubs in 2027. Any rider with any standards is only picking King's Lynn when nothing else is available.

Mathematically no, realistically, it was done weeks ago. Ipswich have Sheffield (h), Belle Vue (h) Leicester (a). That could easily be 0pts. King's Lynn have Leicester (h), Northampton (a). That should be 3pts at Northampton but it absolutely won't be. The bonus points could be huge in the run to 4th place.

We're gonna do well to finish 4th 😬 Amazing how thing's have changed in just a couple of years for GB. The next couple of years are looking even worse for us as a group.

It's more than that. The British Final is a clear indication that the "fast tracking" of Rising Stars isn't delivering in the Premiership. Rushen showed he could be the next to come through after Bewley & Lambert, but what else is there?? All those years of riders given Rising Star (or past equivalents) positions to have only Bewley & Lambert cut it is nothing short of failure. Could be argued that giving youngsters a job in the top league with minimal effort stop the hunger and drive to be the best they can. These kids should be hitting heatleader positions in the Championship on the regular before getting reserve spot in the Premiership. It's the only & best way to sort the wheat from the chaff.

So, serious question time. Do you think that meeting sold it to ITV or another broadcaster to take on the sport in 2027+?? Not for me, the meeting itself was just okay (Rushen the standout), it's a shame the gulf in the line-up was so far apart. Hopefully, ITV (or another free to air) decide on broadcasting the Premiership Play-Offs, it may give a better standard of racing for the sport to sell itself.

Seems you've missed the point. It's an opportunity to sell the sport to ITV or any other broadcaster. So far, it's not going well is. Being on TV is not just about tonight, the future of British Speedway is dependant on selling our sport.

Speedway fans are weird. So we're at a point now where clubs can't sign rider's because others can't afford it?? Absolutely bonkers mentality. It's up to everyone else to be better, not lowering standards to suit the least well off. Even if the team averages were 25 or 55, in the main, if a club has the most expenditure available, they'll have the best team. It's the way in every single motorsport. It's very very simple, if you want a competitive league, bug all the other promoters to raise their standards

Lawson's suspension must have been from & including Thursday. If Lawson had the suspension starting from the Friday it would mean Ipswich's use of R/R would be illegal. If R/R or guests are used, suspension dates are issued from that "missed" meeting.

Would be a strange thing for him to do when he's starting to move in reasonable circles as a DJ. To be fair to him (if you like that music) his tracks are half decent.

Why worry about broadcast times for a highlights show? The 90s are well & truly over, everything will be available to stream regardless of broadcaster.

Is this a radical enough idea to get past Poland's +1 league restrictions? SVEMO, DMU, ACU agree to become a joint league venture. Start the season as 'Regional Divisions' so as usual league racing, home & away x1, then the top 2 from each division go on to the 'Continental Championship'.

Just an idea 1 big league spit in to North & South divisions. Home & away x1. Top 4 from each move on to Play-Offs, Home & away x1. Whomever finish top wins the league. Remaining teams below both top 4s, home & away x1 compete for the Caven Shield. Guarantee of around 12-13 Home fixtures pending number of teams. Plus KO Cup, Pairs & British Final (scrap the qualifiers). All averages in the 1st season converted to current Premiership. Team building to 40.00. Introduce a grading system for year 1 also. Grade A: SGP, Ekstraliga ave 7.00+, Elitserien, Danish League & Premiership 8.00+. Grade B: Ekstraliga 6.99-4.00, Elitserien, Danish League & Premiership 7.99-6.00. Grade C: Everyone else. If a team signs 1 Grade A they can have 2 Grade Bs. Sign 2 Grade As, it's only 1 Grade B. Sign no Grade As, can have up to 4 Grade Bs.
