Answer the question?? @gjcone44
-
🤣 thanks for that, the white line proves he's not turning left regardless of actions of his front wheel. Cooper doesn't deviate from his chosen line which a rider in front has a right to choose. As a following rider it's your responsibility to be more aware of what's happening in front of them. Regardless, as I'd already said, it's a typical racing accident expected from inexperienced rider's.
-
For curiosity, what should Cooper have done, just wave Harrison through???
-
Exactly. It was pure accident all round. Cooper's line down the straight didn't alter & Harrison was quicker out the corner. For me, Harrison just didn't have the awareness of what was happening in front of him. Everything you expect to see from inexperienced young rider's. This accident is textbook to why many argued the Premiership shouldn't be a place for 'Rising Stars' to learn their trade. Maybe there should be parameters in place for RS spots, as per:- Must have a 6.00+ 20 meeting rolling Championship average & 5.00+ 10 away meeting rolling Championship average.

"012.1.14 Foul, Unfair or Dangerous Riding In certain circumstances the Referee may disqualify a rider for foul, unfair or dangerous riding from the remainder of the meeting. In this case no replacement facilities are allowed for the remainder of a team meeting."

Don't think there's any evidence of substantial time out. I've seen it mentioned a week to 10 days out at most somewhere. The biggest challenge will be team bonding & friendship between Scott & Rushen. Some family members are feeling pretty angry. At the end of the day, this is one of the most dangerous motorsports in the world, accidents happen. If you can't handle it, find something else. For me, Rushen did absolutely zero wrong, people need to chill a little.
-
I'd look at moving Rushen to No7 & find a more experienced No6 if possible 🤷♂️
-
But he is going to look, he made an error off the bend so checked everyone else's position, it's normal with every rider who makes an error. Absolutely normal to do. At the point of Rushen looking back, Harrison was far enough behind to see Rushen's corrective manoeuvres. For me, the incident only arises because Harrison isn’t aware of his surroundings. Rushen doesn't & never did turn left down the straight. The only decision the referee had on offer was excluding Harrison.
-
Watching the incident over & over & for me (unpopular opinion clearly) the referee made the right call. Rushen overshooting the corner a little & just tries to get his wheels in line quicker to regain speed to hold position. At no point through the whole move is he moving left down the straight. The view from behind is very very clear on that. For me, Harrison had enough time & room to see what was happening in front of him but failed to adjust to the situation.

I bet a couple of promoters butt-holes will be nipping up with Northamptons form so far. Slapped together just to help make the numbers up & they may not even finish bottom 🫣 Which Northampton rider will get the chop first for being "TOO GOOD" to help the rest of the league? 😲
-
If King's Lynn look to replace Scott (which they absolutely shouldn't), couldn't they just move Rushen to R/S & find someone more experienced at No6?? For me, wait for the 1st/2nd set of averages to come through and if someone is to be replaced, look at the No2 spots. While we're in the KO Cup matches it has to be a stick with what we've got.

Kings Lynn vs Ipswich KOC April 13th 7.30pm

There's absolutely zero reason for any Stars fans to panic. I'd argue that the points scored is quite encouraging. Had Kvech scored 8-9 (expected) at No5 the result could easily have been reversed. Regardless of how they got the points, 4 from Castagna & 3 from Rushen is fine. Move the top 5 riding order to:- 1, Fricke 2, Castagna 3, Kvech 4, Harris, 5, Cook, it will be far more solid -

Isn't it strange what a few hours make. One away meeting and already this result is written off as almost impossible for King's Lynn. Only a month or two ago, King's Lynn were murmured to be right up there as by some. The King's Lynn track is up there as one of the most difficult to get to grips with as an away rider, many of the very best in the world has suffered. Although lower level, at least Rushen & Scott have had regular outings on it. I'm not convinced Hellstrom-Bangs will be that handy. The few times watching him, he's an exciting, full gas rider. King's Lynn is not a place to do that at as it can quickly send you to the fence. The reverse of Thursday night or better is absolutely possible. -
Lawson is now at Ipswich, he knows the score there and understands he needs to throw some shade King's Lynn's way, it helps get fans on side. Especially after they've lost Emil & Jason as their top guys.

Paul Hunsdon and Tony Gaul are Promoters. Chris Adams is the team Manager. There is no secrecy. https://britishspeedway.co.uk/rowe-motor-oil-premiership/introducing-the-foxes/

I've got Batchelor as 4.90. It's was his official 2023 PL rolling average. Still well inside the points limit either way. Generally, if a rider has a season or 2 away from the top league they're given the highest average from their last PL average or converted CL average.

The line-up matters very very much. These "Big Guns" need to be less selfish with their time for a great cause that is there for them. If anything happens, they'd be quick sharp on the blower for a hand out. All monies don't stretch very far in 2026 so an afternoon of their time wouldn't go a miss. -
Newbies don't give a feck about rules. They only care about getting value for money in being entertained, hence, 9/10 don't return.

There will be a facility if Iversen has been declared in the team and rightly so imo. His injury was on UK soil in the opening meeting of the UK season. Regardless whether it was for Northampton or not, all meeting in the UK are deemed as 'Official' race meetings.
-
Why?
-
Just a quick search on Google, Northamptonshire was pretty prominent in WWII, I'd go with 'Bombers' or 'Raiders' as a historical reference. Also, with Silverstone & Santa Pod in the region, 'Racers' must be an option. I'd leave 'Cobblers' with the football club.
