  1. To summarise:- It's like Trump vs Harris Israel vs Iran Russia vs Ukraine Both sides think they got the win, in reality, nobody knows 👍🏻
  2. I'm in my 40s, disabled & broke. If I was still going to meetings paying the concession price, I wouldn't sweat over £2-£4. Concessions is an old idea to cover the 'blue collar' workers whose bodies had packed up by 55. Pretty much all those hard slog jobs don't exist anymore and people in to their 70s are way fitter than a 70yo, 30 years ago. If concessions are a need, it should simply be for the disabled & blue badge holders. Just because you're "old" shouldn't give an automatic right to money off. That's absurd in 2024. Anyway, this ain't for this thread. Thanks @LagutaRacingFan for stirring that hornet nest 🤣
  3. King's Lynn are in a really bad spot if they go with anything like that
  4. Think it's fair to say that if you're a pensioner & poor, it's not likely they're attending Speedway anyway. If you are already attending Speedway, you can manage an extra £2.
  5. That's a fair point & 100% agree. The death of Speedway as a stadium spectator sport has been long & slow. So are we at the point in the UK where all tracks need permanent cameras & every meeting can be watched from the comfort of the sofa? I'd pay £20 / £25 a month for King's Lynn home & away fixtures. Stadiums then remain accessible for spectators at £15. A 2 fold income stream would be better than just the £25 trackside in this generation, would it not?? BSN could become what Eurosports was & meant to be before Discovery destroyed it. Every meeting Live online of my club would be the dream
  6. Here we are again, some have revisited entry pricing. I've heard also on the AGM agenda is another £2 increase for 2025. So, £24/£25 for Premiership, £22/£23 for Championship. While chatting they said these prices are set by the BSPL & individual clubs are not allowed to set their own entrance prices more or less than £2. This seems outrageous to me and surely against trading law? If an owner is happy to take losses, why not allow them to charge what they want? For years now many say Speedway in the UK is a £10 sport, and it's probably right but global inflation costs would probably put it to £15 maybe? Just sitting here thinking radical ideas and the only one I can come up with is this. Is a 💡 moment? Set the price across both Premiership & Championship the same at £15. No OAP concessions U18s & Full Time Students free. At the stadium entrance / exit a one tap donation card reader accepts £5. Would clubs find it easier to get 500 - 700 extra spectators at £15? Would spectators be willing to donate at the £5 terminal? _______________________________ Any other genuine ideas out their to increase the numbers on the terraces?
  7. Match going King's Lynn fans crying in their Hot Chocolates tonight. Their heatleading hopes were all pinned on Lawson. Thought & prayers are with them 🙏🏻
  8. You won't win anything next season with those 2 reserves what ever the points limit is. Heavy reliance on the top 5 to score 40+ and the middle order (especially after Zischke's injury) is unreliable. I'd go as far as to say, that 7 is horrific
  9. If you're a switched on rider you'd demand a significant signing on fee
  10. LRF is absolutely right though. It's very 🐍y to do a survival crowd fund. Imagine giving over £100s & they still fold halfway through the season. Will that £10k increase the supporters through the turnstiles? What about in 2026? Another crowd fund? At the end of the day, the Birmingham Promotion team (and the BSPL as a whole) have to do better. Doing a Crowd Fund is cruel to the desperate Speedway loving fan. Certainly won't be the well off handing over their 💰💰
  11. Word on the street is Kvech is doing Poland & Sweden in 2025. After getting the GP call up he found the UK a slog this early in his career.
  12. We have to wait on rider's not signing or being signed in Poland & Sweden.
  13. 1. B.Zmarzlik (Guest) 2. N.I.Iversen 3. J.Kvech 4. N.Klindt 5. R.Lambert (R/R) 6. L.Kerr
  14. Doyle didn't quality & you can't guarantee Doyle would have been top 6, you are surmising. The reasoning of those that pick Doyle as Wildcard is no greater than the first reserve. The whole Wildcard thing drives me bonkers. What is the point of it if 7th & 8th are automatic picks &/or injured riders. Just make it top 10 & the rest from the Challenge.
  15. On 2 fronts for me:- 1, age. Although that's harsh, I just don't think 35+ should be getting Wildcards. There absolutely has to be an age cut off. Top 6 & GP Challenge should be the only route for the old guys. 2, Doyle's pretty much guaranteed to have a massive accident which then becomes a wasted space given in the series. Doesn't allow the 1st reserve the chance to automatically qualify whom may deserve the spot anyway.
  16. Think it's clear who the bottom 2 are next season. Birmingham saying they're skint & King's Lynn not looking for a big hitter, maybe they should just look forward to 2026 already.
  17. If they need the hoo-ha finale, why not just have it as a one off Grand Final with 1st vs 2nd at a neutral stadium?? 3rd vs 4th home & away for something like the Craven Shield?? 5th - 7th have a creative 3 team tournament, once at each track??
  18. I'm struggling with what King's Lynn fans want. Do they want a competitive top 4 challenge or just a decent team to watch at home?? If it's the former, it would be absurd to think about Lawson as a No1. You have to have a more ambitious demand from management, Lawson is nothing more than a 3rd heatleader. You cannot make top 4 without a genuine No1, strength in depth doesn't work
  19. 1. Sam Masters 7.32 2. Kyle Howarth 5.05 3. Nicolai Klindt 6.59 4. Danny King 6.14 5. Niels Kristian Iversen 6.83 6. Lewis Kerr 4.77
  20. Pencil in Danny King & Kyle Howarth at King's Lynn as it seems no other club wants them 😂
  21. We didn't win because of "Strength in Depth". Many wins were because of excellent guest choices. we were rock bottom with our original team.
  22. Men just don't like women being involved in "their sport". It's as simple as that. No matter which way you look at it, it's sexism. Of course, there are bad female pundits but there's so absolute 🤡 male pundits too that have even 'Played the Game'. It's across ever male dominated sport
  23. When a team manager says they're going strength in depth, already they've set themselves up for a wooden spoon battle again. It give none of the fans any excitement to get their teeth in to. Another year of dreams being dashed. Another year of a dead septet. Another year of not being a$$ed to put up a challenge. Another year of taking ££s from gullible. Where is the ambition at King's Lynn??
  24. It's just an idea, how bad of me 😂 Looks like everyone would fit in well with the BSPL model of Speedway 😬 For me, the SGP desperately needs a freshening up
