  1. You have to look at the wider picture though. Rowe is getting work on the continent and doing ok. The be all & end all is NOT what's happening in the Premiership &/or Championship. British Speedway is no longer the yard stick. Right now, Rowe is way in front, but I did say he's 2 years older so comparing the 2 anyway is absolutely ridiculous. Thompson could be a heatleader, in the GPs & smashing the Ekstraliga in 2 years. Or go severely backward. Comparing youth with 2-3 year age gap / experience is nothing short of ridiculous.
  2. There's hope for the Brummies. Ermolenko was a great rider but his knowledge of the sport overall is horrific.
  3. Think there's still some serious bitterness from Ipswich fans that Rowe turned them down in 2023 & went to King's Lynn Oh well 🤪😂
  4. Anders is a million miles ahead of Thompson. Why are they even being compared in the first place as they're at different stages of their careers. British Speedway (Premiership or Championship) is not the yard stick. The fact Rowe is learning in Poland's U24E is far more progressive than anything served up here. In 2 years Thompson could be better, but right now, not a chance.
  5. You both can be right ya know 😂 Club in a sound financial footing + Sonsorship worth not that great to the club = The same thing
  6. This has been mentioned for years already. Regardless of what the "regulations" say, 'Rising Stars' are not being forced to ride where they don't want to be. Talks happen pre-pick between clubs & rider's about where they want to go. This is common knowledge.
  7. What used to be enjoyable about uprights & earlier laydowns was their unreliability. Every race was unpredictable in the sense that even if a rider was miles in front they could (and did) breakdown at any point. Most breakdowns now are just dropped / snapped chains
  8. Not sure about that, Boughen is King's Lynn born & bred. He'd be known to the club well enough
  9. Is it negativity or realism? We've seen teams put together for about a decade now, fans "happy" with the side only to be whining & calling for changes weeks later because the teams s#!t. Rinse and repeat at King's Lynn and imo, 2025 will be the same again if real Heatleaders are not found. Even every other clubs fans, when they do predicted line-up, they always give King's Lynn the dregs nobody else wants. I get & understand some are just happy to still have the Speedway, but knowing you're going in to a season without any chance of competing with only 7 teams in the league?
  10. 🤣🤣 go have a look how bad the WHOLE league was then. That Peterborough team is not a yard stick to go by. It's fact, you can't win anything without Heatleaders, anyone over a 5½ average at No6 is a waste of points. King's Lynn before a wheel is turned will really really struggle to make top 4.
  11. He can only replace Boughen once. 8 from 5 would be poor with how the teams built. Let's think Boughen will score 0 regularly we're then relying on the top 5 to average almost 8. For me, it will be poor judgement & horrible mathematics to have anyone over a 5.50 average at No6. It's a waste of team building numbers that cannot logically work. We have to work with facts, and the facts are, no team has ever been successful with this "strength in depth" nonsense.
  12. It's simple then, If You Can't Pay - Top 4 Gets Taken Away. The promotion desperately needs 7+ No1 & No5s for any top 4 hopes
  13. Think you're confused by the racecard. Home 2, 7, 11, 14 - Away 2, 6, 9, 12 If he comes in as a reserve switch he'll always be against a Heatleader. For me, that many points used in team building at reserve is wasted
  14. There's a reason Harris could be at reserve, he's no longer THAT guy. 100% he'll still deliver on the entertainment front but winning races when needed? There's a reason he's a 6 - 6½ average. Maybe it's just me, but I don't get the belief & excitement. Old guys at reserve are there for a reason, if it was the next big thing (Bewley, Lambert, Ward, Woffinden) at No6, that's a different story.
  15. What's the advantage of Bomber at No6? That he can have 7 rides by any chance? It's a waste as it means others in the top 5 are not performing. A strong No6 is only valid with strong Heatleaders. No team can compete if the No1 / No5 are less than a 7.50 average.
  16. 5%?? Some random numbers there lad 6.22 - 2.5% = 6.06
  17. Have Poland dropped their 2 league rule as I've seen Doyle is predicted to return to Sweden for 2025?
  18. Is it though? For me it's always been weak. Only really Brennan has come out of the system and done ok. But yes, it should be scrapped, it hasn't delivered what it was meant to do & that get more homegrown into the main team. Most just end up going backward and stuck in the Championship going nowhere. The hope was to find the next Bewley & Lambert but that just isn't happening. The system should just be adopted by the Championship. In the Premiership, I think Brits U23 should get a 25% reduction every year unless they establish a 6 average. That would work better imo.
  19. If Oxford get that quartet, that's strong. All 4 capable of 8+ averages.
  20. Thanks, but that's not throwing Buster under the bus though. That's all well known hence why Michael Tomalin was involved wasn't it? He was looking for land & buying the registration off Buster. Is he still around & in this fight?
  21. 100%. I'd really love to know (of course money counts) why he likes coming over. What is it British Speedway give him? Us fans are always this tracks s#!t, that tracks s#!t, this & that teams s#!t, stadiums ⅔ empty. Is it as simple as "easy money" in the Premiership over the Elitserien or is their something else us fans just don't understand? With Doyle & other Aussie's it's obvious why they'd be here, language, family etc, but I don't understand it with Pole's, Swede's, Dane's etc. Organisation of our league is so erratic with weather & rearranged fixtures too. The competitiveness of the Swedish league is far greater. But yes, 100% Sayfutdinov is box office & should be appreciated by every track.
