  1. As I said, I kind of agree with you on that point but we have to try. We can't keep wheeling out garbage like King & Kennett who's careers are at a level that is never going to improve on the International scene. You have to try new. Cook got a run out tonight & Bridger should have joined him. Then the lowest scorer should have made way for Barker. That simple. It's not hindsight for me as I've said it from day one. Middlo as GB manager should always be looking forward but always looks at the here & now. As an International manager it's a ridiculous approach. IMO for 2014 GB should be looking past Harris as he's found his level and doesn't look like improving, if ya get what I mean like
  2. Didn't miss the point at all as I believe Middlo has always been inept at management & your above post is pretty much bang on. What concerns me more is I'd read Tweets saying it was actually Morris that picked Kennett. Where on earth did those comments come from??? 1, is that true? 2, if so, who actually is the TeamGB manager?
  3. When you say 'our' manager, is that in reference to GB or Poole? If Poole he's had the financial backing to make him look better with World class rider's. If it's in reference to GB he's been an utter disaster. 2004 is 9 years ago. If living off that is keeping him in the job, British Speedway on the World stage has no hope what so ever.
  4. It's only unfair if it isn't true. When did Kennett show his best. That's correct, when the drill came into play. Facts
  5. Be fair folks, Kennett was only any good when he took a bloody drill to his exhaust. The blokes utter garbage and always has been.
  6. Jesus christ. Picking Danny King is from the same batch as Eddie Kennett. Bottles any fighting battles. He's had his chance. We need full on fighter's and from that prospective it can only be Bridger & Barker for the race-off
  7. Absolutely shocking racing so far. Utter utter garbage for King's Lynn
  8. I agree to a point but the last couple World Cup meetings we haven't had this kind of hot weather to deal with in the past. Keeping control of the dust will be hard work.
  9. Like yesterday I expect the track not to be up to Buster's usual standard with the race format restrictions. It's gonna be a complete dust bowl tonight I would expect so passing could be at a minimum Let just hope it doesn't hamper the superslow gating Brits. Still ccan't wait though & hopefully the atmosphere will be electric COME ON TEAMGB!!!!!!!!
  10. That had to be one of the worst World Cup meetings I've seen in a while.
  11. Nope, you're right because the coverage is exactly the same & I mean exactly. Sky showed so much commitment to Speedway they didn't even show 1 of the Play-Off semi finals last season. Sky put quite a few of their GP's on the red button which many thousand's couldn't view. Sky was in no way better or worse. Schedule's are what they are & with Speedway being a minority / specialist sport we have to accept everything we can get. We have no right to demands right now.
  12. After Rick Frost stole money off the paying public last night in the P'boro v King's Lynn meeting by issuing a rained off Belle Vue programme for the full £3 I was wondering if this is a common theme in speedway. On Good Friday we got done with a Lakeside programme also at P'boro. I know at King's Lynn they re-issue rain off programmes with inserts but atleast they're used for the relevant teams. Is this a normal process or is it just Peterborough??
  13. Peter Johns & Gary Havelock Tweeted that Kelv talked crap & lives in the past regarding those comments though. But, I'm not sure a modern day engine tuner is likely to agree with Kelv is he as that would be a sure fire way to destroy ya own business.
  14. Middlo also said on Twitter that "hos hands are tied for King's Lynn Monday".
  15. The only safest option I can think of is for cc to be reduced to 400cc. Riders & tuners are constantly testing for more raw speed. Time on the track ain't really any quicker but power output of the machines is. The 1000>6000rpm difference from an old motor (1990) is around 0.4 of a second faster (May not seem a great deal but that is massive). The torque is down though. The 1990 motors ran about 60bhp at 7000rpm but now it's around 10000rpm which means riders having to twist the throttle further south giving the impression on more speed but in fact they getting less & less throttle control and if the bike snaps the only option is pretty much 'get off the bike as soon as possible'. There isn't any more accidents than in previous seasons but there IS more for the higher profile & professional riders than before as they constantly keep looking for that 'raw speed'.
  16. Anyone know what happened to Iversen tonight. 2+1 from 3 is a very unusual score. Crash, just a bad night, ill??? He's been missing off Twitter too. Very strange
  17. When push comes to shove Kennett can't mix it. Major bottler. TeamGB is all about passion & hunger & that's something Bridger, Barker & Worrall have in abundance. Any of those 3 should be ahead of both Kennett & King who's similar to Kennett.
  18. I'm not having that Phil. The place would have been rocking regardless of who had the GB flag on their chest. You could throw Kelvin Tatum out there as Wildcard and the place would still be jumping.
  19. Kind of agree but Middlo (the prat) had already stated that him and Woffy guaranteed their places
  20. Well, after tonight's showing I think Worrall & Kennett will be / should be ruled out. Sticking by my team of:- 1, Harris 2, Woffinden 3, Cook 4, Bridger
  21. Either way, on current form both are showing that they maybe deserve a shot. I still wouldn't pick Worrall but they're certainly making it difficult for Middlo to ignore
  22. That all sounds very bitter the above post. If Lambert was allowed to ride Premier League he would but being 15 National League is the only option. Regarding only being a 3 average. What else should he be?? Without a league average anywhere else a 3 is the only option available. Regarding only riding at home. He has no need to ride tracks away in the National League as that experience will come next year when he steps up to the PL in April. Everyone is just guessing he's only doing home meetings because he missed the Stoke meeting & it sounds like a bloody good job he did to by the sounds of it.
