  1. Worrying too watch with Covatti. Fingers crossed it's just precaution
  2. First thought's are with Ricky Ashworth & family and seriously wishing for rhe right outcome. Secondly, Scunthorpe supporter's should have a right to reply regarding abusive insults directed at Ashworth after the accident. Was it just one or a few? Somebody on here will know them. These people should hang their head in shame if they remain silent as these fans / fan should be reported and suspended from Scunthorpe Speedway. Best wishes Ricky fella, don't give up
  3. I'm afraid Bryn is wrong with regards to forums not being taken seriously. I work for a multi billion $ US company who use forum's for feedback, faxbacks, emails etc. We request people to be anonymous unless they wish to be contacted. It's the right way for any business in the modern World to survive. The modern World is full of high demand and speedway is stuck in the 80's. It is in serious need of change to move forward and I'm afraid to say it but the people in charge are old past it dinosaurs Need to get in the 21st century BSPA
  4. He certainly did Greg. I don't think the lad needs the PL either. He's already got Germany with a spot available in Denmark too in 2014. It won't be to long before Swedish & Polish speedway take a look too.
  5. Question as I have no idea. Was Middlo a team manager before Mart Ford came along and how did those teams do???
  6. In 2002 at Peterborough the place was packed out with no Great Britain in the final. I think we just appreciate seeing the World's best rider's on show as it doesn't happen over here very often these days. If Belle Vue get it the place will be rammed with or without home representation
  7. Injured rider's thread in speedway general discussions
  8. What on earth are you talking about. Waldron moved to reserve & Hazelden in the main body of the team as of the averages issued on the 18th July. The IOW meeting was Weds 17th July & Buxton before that so I don't understand what's illegal???
  9. The biggest inspiration Greg showed to his younger riders was National pride. Something evidently lacking from British speedway by our riders for many many many many many many years
  10. Well, with the rider's we had it's a total embarrassment to finish bottom of the pile. Wells, Fisher & Manzares should not be leading Harris, Bridger & Baker. Absolute joke.
  11. At the moment may be. As a rider overall, they're the same. Will never be good enough for top level International Speedway
  12. Because he's of the same standard as Kennett. King & Kennett should be excluded from any future GB squads
  13. GB all the way in International events. Just a thought though, most of the Danish, US & Swedish flags being waved yesterday & Twitter comments of supporting other nations came from young girls & women. Is it as simple as the chicks dig the di, well ya know what I'm saying
  14. I just find it difficult to take from Peterborough, especially when it's a local derby knowing full well more away fans will purchase a programme. Programmes are always in the season budget. If the fixture isn't a rearranged one like Friday (Peterborough v King's Lynn) Promoters should issue the relevant programme, not a postponed Belle Vue one.
  15. It is and man for man over Australia I think we're stronger. Let Ward have his maximum, we'll win it on the Joker ride. 1, Ward - Woffinden 2, Batchelor - Harris 3, Doyle - Barker 4, Woodward - Bridger It really is game on folks!!!!!!! Get through this, that's 3rd place in the bank. But, those pesky Latvians will be spoilers for someone.
  16. A rider only loses confidence from pressure. That's when good management comes into play. Arm round the shoulder or the bollocking in the bogs etc. You learn how rider's react from certain approaches from their own mental attitude. The problem with Middlo is he treats everybody the same regardless.
  17. As I said, I kind of agree with you on that point but we have to try. We can't keep wheeling out garbage like King & Kennett who's careers are at a level that is never going to improve on the International scene. You have to try new. Cook got a run out tonight & Bridger should have joined him. Then the lowest scorer should have made way for Barker. That simple. It's not hindsight for me as I've said it from day one. Middlo as GB manager should always be looking forward but always looks at the here & now. As an International manager it's a ridiculous approach. IMO for 2014 GB should be looking past Harris as he's found his level and doesn't look like improving, if ya get what I mean like
  18. Didn't miss the point at all as I believe Middlo has always been inept at management & your above post is pretty much bang on. What concerns me more is I'd read Tweets saying it was actually Morris that picked Kennett. Where on earth did those comments come from??? 1, is that true? 2, if so, who actually is the TeamGB manager?
  19. When you say 'our' manager, is that in reference to GB or Poole? If Poole he's had the financial backing to make him look better with World class rider's. If it's in reference to GB he's been an utter disaster. 2004 is 9 years ago. If living off that is keeping him in the job, British Speedway on the World stage has no hope what so ever.
  20. It's only unfair if it isn't true. When did Kennett show his best. That's correct, when the drill came into play. Facts
  21. Be fair folks, Kennett was only any good when he took a bloody drill to his exhaust. The blokes utter garbage and always has been.
