Sheffield -V- Belle Vue 23rd March
Daniel Smith replied to Phil The Ace's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Does look like the RS reduction (25%) isn't 'team building only' but at the same time it's not that much of an advantage as his new average will kick in after 3 home /away fixtures & his existing Rolling Average still counts. Brennan will need to be really bad to remain at reserve. -
Because he's a 'so last year' type of rider bruv

Ipswich vs Peterborough 23rd march
Daniel Smith replied to Gasser90's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Let's hope they're good at reading the situation & doesn't go straight to spam or in the trash. Could be a long long unread season for Ipswich if the correct punctuation isn't up to scratch. -

It's very obvious why bikers don't follow Speedway. There's no relevance to the real world except they have two wheels. Other bike sports you can pretty much buy similar out a shop & use day to day.

010.3.1 Cut Off Date: No team changes will be allowed after 28th August with the effective date being 31st August. Except riders returning to the team after injury who can only replace their original replacement.

Nah, he's not for me. I've seen Heeps get round better than that at his heaviest. Emil's a reserve at best, you heard it here first

Embarrassed to be an Ipswich rider he had to cover up the logo. Clear evidence of just 'taking a wage' Tin pot club

As I understood it, if a rider's choice is to compete in the Premiership outside of the 'Rising Star' system they then cannot go back in to it in following seasons. May be wrong though

There have been lots of questions over many year why British riders fail to establish team spots in the British top flight. Even the Championship has a high number of foreign rider's, which in turn see many British riders 'stuck' in the 3rd tier. As a thought, should we have stringent restrictions, i.e. Foreign Rider's; ° All GP rider's with 3yrs+ experience should automatically be 8.00+ (including Brits -25%) ° SEC / SGP / SWC rider's with 3yrs+ experience should automatically be 7.00+ (including Brits -25%) ° New rider's to the BPL are automatically 4.50 & can never be below. ° Rider's over 25 are automatically 6.00 & can never be below. For Championship, add 1 point, excluding SGP rider's with 3yrs SGP experience within 5yrs of BCL signing. Just an idea. Any good??

See what Ipswich have done there. Saved a few hundred on a new race suit & permanent-markers a line down the 'a' & written 'o' 'n'. Thomas >Thompson Just got Emil & Jason in the team but can't afford a race-suit for the new guy the cheap b@stereds Tin pot club

Absolutely, the 1 minute is only for false starts. No excuses for any rider to miss those. Fallers, tape touching etc will be the usual 2mins. Don't see the issue at all.

Anything if they're willing to participate in a sport that has passed all health and safety checks. So, what would you change at Scunthorpe?
-
What do you suggest that wouldn't cause track closure?
-
We still have this problem at GP level, Poland's Exstraliga etc, it's not just a Scunthorpe thing of solid-state fences. Scunthorpe is no more dangerous than any other track around the world. We've had rider's suffer just as severe injuries with airfence's on wooden & chain-link fences.
-
GP / International rider's crash in to the fence at King's Lynn, it also has an unmovable armco barrier, held SWC meetings, what's your point?
-
That doesn't mean anything. They're all young an inexperienced rider's, they'll crash everywhere. Plus the fact Kennedy has signed for Scunthorpe clearly indicates he has no problem with the track

Phil Morris appointed Premiership CEO

Making the rules is not his job. This will still be on the Promoters. He will recommend ideas & be sole interpreter of said rules. No longer (as happens all to often) one promoter rings another on how they interpreted a rule. If it's not what they want to hear they'd ring another until they get the answer they wanted to hear. Then stake claim that it not just them that sees a certain situation as they do, and works it to their own benefit. With Phil Morris as sole interpretater it's his way only & matter of fact.
