Phil Morris appointed Premiership CEO
Daniel Smith replied to NeilWatson's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
And the relevance of this question?? Every club pays in to BSP Ltd every year. It'll financed by that. Yes & No. He'll have to visit every Premiership track on all Monday & Thursdays to oversee the running of meetings, from track prep to close. Will be a similar position & work alongside on occasions, with what Tony Steele on behalf of ACU & SCB. It's one hell of a job he's taking on. Probably won't see any real change for 2-3 seasons. Over seeing the rule book & working for Discovery (especially temp track weeks) & BSP Ltd is going to be nuts busy for the guy. Good luck to Phil -
The numbers don't lie, if every rider in the league maintained their rolling average, Belle Vue & King's Lynn are Play-Off finalists comfortably. As we know, speedway isn't like that. Personally, Ipswich are the favourites for me. Any team can be 10-12 up after 9, but when you have Doyle, Sayfutdinov & King to close a meeting, those points can be wiped out in an instant. In the real world, how likely is it these 3 stay uninjured? Very very unlikely imo

They can no longer afford his current wage demands. It's been mentioned by some Wolverhampton fans that money is an issue & Lindgren was wanted by them. -

Agree to a point. Nicki Pedersen is a nostalgic signing. For me, having Dan Bewley back in the league is a bigger signing. Emil is a genuine World Class signing & it's a shame imo Peterborough couldn't get the Lindgren signing over the line. -
Team strengths by official rolling averages. How close could it be to being accurate without injuries?? Belle Vue taking a clear advantage with Brennan's reduction, can he maintain last yesrs form? Ipswich extremely top heavy but are actually 2nd in real averages so should be a good year. Then at the other end, Peterborough's numbers are surprising, almost 2 points off top 2, will it be a tough season for them in the real world?? Questions questions, LET THE TAPES UP BEGIN 1. Belle Vue (40.27) 2. Ipswich (39.98) 3. Sheffield (39.34) 4. Leicester (38.97) 5. Wolverhampton (38.85) 6. King's Lynn (38.64) 7. Peterborough (38.31)

There's so much Sayfutdinov will have to go through to get a work permit. He'll be invested as to family history i.e. Oligarch family members, any serving family members from Cold War era on, financial history etc etc. Lots of hoops

He'll only be there 2 meetings maximum so not really classed a reserve -

One thing to our disadvantage is consistency. The whole 1-6 could score 10 or 3. Every one of them needs to score 6-7 week in week out & I can't see it compared to others. Felt confident with this team when it first came out, comparing to 2022, but now every other team is (almost) done, can't see anything but bottom. -

They'll need to be 10-12 up minimum by heat 10 as they'll concede 8 from heats 13 & 15 -
The question is:- Are Ipswich cooking the season ticket books to only announce later on Emil's visa was denied?!?!?

The thing is for Ipswich, both Doyle & Sayfutdinov are prone to getting injured. Can go from extreme highs to serious lows in a heartbeat. The league is stronger this season so Doyle won't have the luxury of just disappearing into the distance untroubled -

Not true though is it. "Box Office" isn't just winning races, to me it's someone who puts it all on the line when the miss the start. Lindgren & Pedersen both fit that bill -

Allit was TM, Lyon was promoter at the time. Lyon relinquished his role with immediate effect after that meeting I believe. Allitt then had to take on the TM & Promoter role after his recovery, in the mean time we had guest managers if my memory serves me correctly -
Ipswich shouldn't count their chickens just yet. The British Government are still pushing that every 'world sports governing bodies' suspend Russian & Belarusian athletes from competing. Only those that have citizenship outside of these countries pre-2019 are expected to be exempt. I'm watching this situation pretty closely & for Speedway, Emil & both Laguta's will remain suspended as they claimed citizenships in 2021/2022. There are a lot of associations pushing back & threatening sanctions against UK athletes if the British Government persist.

Buster's right to drop this guy. This is exactly the type of guy you'd have had & would have put your club in the s#!t mid-season. Total 'Big Time Charlie'. What a be!!end -
Heats 13 & 15 will be decent?? Apart from coming up against Bewley these will pretty much be dead, unless they end up racing each other

Obviously a hypothetical, but could it be possible that Tomlin have been shocked by how much rider's would cost him?? All these rumoured signings then not come to fruition can't just be down to Buster. Two sides to every story. Tomlin threw in the "Big I Am" tornado & left behind total devastation -

I just don't get the criticism of signing Worrall. Hans Andersen's signing is way more baffling considering the team will be 2 points under the average. -

and we're always constantly told that Lindgren wouldn't ride for anyone else
