  1. And they finished the meeting with their own set-ups and it still didn't work. Facts need to be face, we're a s#!+ side, end of
  2. This team isn't good enough. Anyone willing to wake up to that fact yet or not or is it a continuing of burying the head in the sand?? This team is delivering to expectations, OK at home and likely to lose some. Away are an absolute abysmal joke.
  3. Depends on his pay structure for 2019. He's more popular and sort after with each season and a certain No1 in the UK right now. If his points wage demand is up by a 3rd he can earn almost the same as last year on a just over 7 average. Thus meaning, use last year's equipment and he'll end 2019 with a bigger profit margin than 2018. It's just standard business.
  4. Again, never said his equipment is substandard as such, just the same as last year as it went so well. He's saved money by cutting investment in UK Speedway. Why wouldn't or shouldn't he? To be a No1 in the UK you don't require anywhere near the investment you need for the likes of Poland, Sweden and the SGP's. People are extremely delusional if you think top rider's spend big bucks in the UK.
  5. Robert Lambert is a business. He has to speculate to accumulate. He has to have a financial agenda for this and future seasons. He spending priority has an order and I could guarantee UK Speedway is bottom. 1. Ekstraliga 2. SGP / SON / Euro Championship 3. Elitserien 4. British Speedway I have no doubt at all his UK equipment has taken a back seat with his eyes firmly on the prize of being able to drop UK totally like Woffinden.
  6. Where have I said Lambert is giving no effort I just believe he's using old equipment IN the Premiership and I wouldn't blame him. Riding Ekstraliga, Elitserien and the expense in being prepared for the SGP, I find it a little delusional that he'd have his best gear in England. Robert Lambert is riding on the cheap in the UK, I have no doubt about it. Doesn't mean though he's making no effort in his races, nobody has even suggested it at all.
  7. The thing is, I think Lambert is riding equipment 'on the cheap' in the Premiership. What we watched in the SON and his scoring in the Premiership just doesn't add up. We'll see this weekend if he's on the pace with Woffinden and Zmarzlik in the GP, if so, King's Lynn surely have to ask questions.
  8. There were 1 or 2 good races but not at all to usual Belle Vue standards. The whole thing felt as flat as a pancake on the TV. Lost total concentration and just had it on in the background from about heat 15.
  9. Lambert needs to sack his engine tuner before it's to late. He's not anywhere near the level of last season at all. His last two scores in Poland have been nothing short of embarrassing. We've got the SON coming up and he's got his first GP on foreign soil coming up too. He's going to look worse than Harris and Cook
  10. If the meeting are top draw regardless of the result wouldn't that be good enough to keep people turning up, at least for this seasons return to the top flight. Most certainly, 2020 is a different matter all together, a lineup like this one wouldn't be acceptable.
  11. While some Stars fans will take positives from this result I think it's a little disappointing. 8 points up, against a team running 3 points under the team average. Should not jave ended a draw and again proved critical at the back end of the meeting by having Eric Riss complete his night by heat 11. Riss has to be at No4 or No5 and Kerr at No2. I just don't get why the management ain't picking this up, it's ridiculous.
  12. Hoping both sets of fans have an enjoyable evening and all rider's put on a show.
  13. From the Midlands the A14 / A1 interchange hasn't been to bad the last couple of months but you do have to hit it right. Generally go through there between 10am - 2pm. Now use that route and avoid the much slower A605.
  14. Nonsense imo. If Buster had allowed Craig coloured sponsors then he'd of had a game with the other 6 rider's. Buster in this case 100% right, and Craig has made himself 110% poorer.
  15. I've been using another Twitter username for the Stars and Speedwaygb feeds. Easy to do.
  16. Although he won a World Championship, Chris Holder was never a World class rider.
  17. I'm thinking 2019 and beyond. If Buster does a good job and holds on to his 3 clubs Cook won't be signed by any of them. There's his toys out the pram moment when dropped by Belle Vue which didn't go down well with Lemon. On reflection, I think he'd struggle to get a ride at Swindon in the future. Rosco has been very obvious in not being Cook's biggest fan with how he handled him over the GB team. So, in the current Premiership setup if it continues in future years may be Cook's only chance is with Wolverhampton. I honestly think now Cook has put himself in a no win situation and he'll just become an also-ran type of rider. He's managed to get a 'Big Time Charlie' attitude imo, burning so many bridges with people that pay him a living. I think he'll retire from the sport within the next 3 years.
  18. That is certainly one of Buster's best thing's with Kids free. I'd have it as high as U21's. Personally, I wouldn't mind paying a junior admission price of a £5 if they got something in return i.e. free flags, air horns, bumper pack with signed photo/poster of the team or individual photos/posters etc etc. It's all about incentives to keep the youngsters coming back. By the time these kids turn 18 they'd then be hooked but it's then seen as "sad" to be given a kids pack. Maybe between 18-21 a free burger, chips and drink etc. Promoters need to think outside the box a little better.
  19. Looks like Cookie has lost a number of sponsors, must be due to the lack of top level Speedway. Most notable is I think his biggest sponsor CFS are missing.
  20. Happy to be wrong. Any win at Wimborne Road is a great win regardless.
  21. I'd say it's exactly the same reason why King's Lynn are desperate to hang on to Robert Lambert. Quality rider and a local. Without him, no doubt would hit the attendances pretty hard.
  22. Whilst I agree to a point, women's football is growing bigger and bigger with good crowds and sponsorship. It's another thing Speedway has a challenge with. More and more every year are watching woman's football in comfortable stadium facilities. British Speedway stadia every year continues to crumble at the hands of greedy landlords. I would not be surprised in 20 years woman's top league and International football are regularly played out in front of tens of thousands and Speedway, what remains of it, a few 100. Woman's (manly) sports are rapidly on the up.
