  1. Whilst I agree to a point, women's football is growing bigger and bigger with good crowds and sponsorship. It's another thing Speedway has a challenge with. More and more every year are watching woman's football in comfortable stadium facilities. British Speedway stadia every year continues to crumble at the hands of greedy landlords. I would not be surprised in 20 years woman's top league and International football are regularly played out in front of tens of thousands and Speedway, what remains of it, a few 100. Woman's (manly) sports are rapidly on the up.
  2. It was reported that Belle Vue released Craig for similar. GP rider demands for a bang average rider. He also publicly slated Belle Vue's management. So Craig has pretty much left himself with Championship Glasgow or Premiership's Swindon and Wolverhampton. Neither of the Premiership clubs management teams would be stupid enough to pay what his "Speedway Superstar" wages.
  3. I agree, next season I believe will be his last UK season unless Poland's bubble bursts or until his early to mid 30's. Saying that, like many "Superstar" rider's before, he ends up being not all that by his mid 20's. There's just no way of knowing where someone's career will end up. Someone has to be a legend and another an also ran.
  4. Who could really blame Robert if he's using the UK for extra spending money abroad. This year I'm sure he'll be pushing for SGP 2020 qualification, SEC to compete in, Ekstraliga and Elitserien. Plus no doubt Bundesliga is on his fixture list, possibly Metal Speedway League too. He's a very busy boy in 2019
  5. That's one season, an out and out No1 has to consistent year in year out. Last year may have been just one of those purple patches. Not likely though, I'm sure Robert will be back up there soon.
  6. We ain't going to get anywhere near Poole in the 2nd leg. To of stood a chance we needed a 10-12 point win minimum. A 2 point win, we may as well of been done 75-15. Overall over 2 legs a 1 point win is as good as a thrashing at home.
  7. This nonsense that Lambert scoring 13 (9 more points) would have won the meeting is ridiculous. Here's why. Heat 1, Lambert 2+1. 4 point swing 42-48 Heat 6, Lambert 3, Riss 1. 2 point swing 43-47 Heat 10, as is, no result change there. 43-47 Heat 13, Lambert 3, Jorgensen 1. 2 point swing 44-46. What would of happened in heat 15 would be pure guess work but say he was in the heat and he won, Riss would have been in and he fell so 3-3. 4 point swing 46-44. A 2 point win for the Stars, not really an improvement over a 2 leg meeting. So prior to heat 15 Lambert would have been 11+1, but Riss would have only been 8+2 rather than 11 and Jorgensen 7+1 rather than 8+1. All in all, over a 2 leg meeting not good enough. Andersen is a poor poor poor signing. The middle order doesn't have that strength in depth from 2-5 and Palm-Toft is a reserve and nothing else, not strong enough in that position to have 6-7 rides to cover others. These first 2 meetings have made things very clear. There's no backup for Lambert and Palm-Toft can't make up for Andersen.
  8. Possibility too of replacing both Proctor and Andersen for me. Solid replacements and push Kerr back down to reserve, has to be the only way forward for me.
  9. The question is irrelevant, Riss is the better rider of the two. Would rather have Riss for the back end of the meeting than his programme rides done by heat 10.
  10. I just don't get why Riss isn't at No'5. Ridiculous to have Jorgensen in that position imo
  11. I do wonder if he's running last year's gear to make riding British Speedway worth while. The only new stuff he's shown on social media has been the club covers.
  12. I get slagged for being negative yet nobody has gone for a home win I thought this team was meant to be good enough to challenge seeing as it's basically the same team as the table toppers Dear oh dear, you negative bunch. What's the saying "If you don't like it, don't go"
  13. Never thought you'd pass up the track photo's, what's the crack with you Steve??
  14. Correct and the legal system is moving onside with open air music and sporting venues. It is now the responsibility of the developer and agents to be frank and open with buyers and renters, if not, they are now liable and can be taken to court.
  15. Snap, until there's regular reviews of the racing improving and Keith making things a little more supporter friendly I'm out. The AFA has just become a boring place to be. Will hopefully be watching them away but only at Belle Vue, Swindon and Wolverhampton.
  16. The weather system is moving slower than predicted first thing this morning. The rain is almost guaranteed from around 1730 - 2100. Only a 30% chance of no rain. A glimmer of sunshine a couple of hours ago but now the cloud is rolling in again.
  17. He's cheaper than Simon because Kasper scores f@ all points to get paid
  18. Not quite right, I want Buster to fail. On paper King's Lynn, Ipswich and now Peterborough are the weakest 3 teams in the league. Many people also agree with that. Do you know what makes tonight worst? Even 2nd tier Leicester managed 42 points at Ipswich
  19. Anyone think this Stars team will deliver needs a reality check. Reserves abysmal and asking Kerr to deliver in the top 5 is a an ask. If Lambert has a bad day we're stuffed as proven. 1st meeting of the season or not, we've been shown up big time against the other weakest team in the league. Let the Wooden Spoon battle commence with this current septet.
  20. I'm not no Buster fan but the situation at Peterborough was caused initially by Rathbone over budgeting and Cook's sulking and greed. As for Tungate being better than a spiralling Harris is laughable. Harris is a good team player and when the chips are down he can pull something out the bag. Tungate is just one of those steady rider's nobody talks about. Beat nobody of significance against Belle Vue whereas Harris would of likely won at least one of those heats. Harris every time over Tungate.
  21. Harris, Andersen, Cook, Wilson-Dean, Wright, Bjerre, Barker = Cheap If you believe that you'll believe anything
