@PHILIPRISING with regards to Speedway Star struggling with social media, what are you referring too? I'd say nearly 18k followers is pretty decent exposure or are you saying the number of followers doesn't reflect sales? I'm not sure what you mean by it's not working for the Speedway Star. -

Huge uplift in the use of social media yes, but have you noticed how every clubs accounts are pretty much the same. Same content, repeated within seconds of the other. There are many like me that follow all club accounts and it's horrendous how unimaginative social media is used. Then there's no real interaction with supporters and any slight negativity then the follower is blocked. Whoever controls and operates the social media side of British Speedway has no concept of what is required to be attractive, not only to existing fans, but those that don't follow the sport that see people they follows retweet. Speedway is run poorly from top to bottom, from start to finish. Social media is THE biggest marketing tool and it's being badly miss used and operated. -
Wouldn't Robert Lambert and NKI be included in any clashes too?

And there's no Stockcars at either venue good Friday, Poland have no fixtures that day either so that is pretty disappointing the local derby couldn't be revitalised

It's clear what I mean. The rider's took advantage of promoters that clearly had no idea about Speedway. Is it well done Harris? Through the rider's greed, the club closed down and they wasn't paid their full contract and actually ended up worse off because of it, so it isn't "well done" at all for anyone.
-
There was a release that all rider's owed were paid out of the bond. Because the rider's were paid out of the bond they can no longer chase the promotion for outstanding debt. Some rumours were that Harris wage worked out more per point that Doyle's Somerset contract, if so, imo Harris was ripping off the Rye House owners and doesn't deserve any outstanding payment.

Meetings are never known until a week before each meeting. Never take any notice of the nonsense fixture list that comes out preseason. I do have to chuckle every year when fans complain about fixture changes because they've prebooked hotels. People never learn. Also, when it comes to the Showground, you can never trust it's owners as they change dates whenever they feel like it.

Peterborough Panthers 2019
Daniel Smith replied to Flappy's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Actually, things are slowly changing in terms of training grounds for young Brits in Poland. In terms of opportunity and progression, the Premiership isn't no longer important. In 2018 Poland had these Brits:- Richard Lawson, Richie Worrall, Adam Ellis, Charles Wright, Lewis Kerr, Steve Worrall, Dan Bewley, Craig Cook. 3 rider's had their progression cut short through injury but the rider's above all competed in the Championship Speedway 2018 season. 1 big league clearly wouldn't hinder the opportunity for our rider's to make a name for themselves. Poland are very open to giving Brits a chance, it's all about our guys being strong enough to make that chance count. The only thing the Premiership is hanging onto is giving rides to (and Buster's biggest asset and probably the reason for him to save the top tier) Robert Lambert. King's Lynn could be making good money in sponsorship from this kid, he's becoming something special. Without the Premiership Buster's biggest income asset (Robert Lambert) would be lost. For me, Robert Lambert is a huge reason for Buster to try and save the Premiership. -

They will be silenced. The King's Lynn Supporters Club is a good example of that. Everything has to go through the club/Buster before anything is public. -

Problem is, most sensible business owners that are Speedway fans know to stay away from running clubs if they wish to hold onto their riches. Peterborough and Ipswich didn't need a buyer anyway as their existing owners were willing to remain in the Championship. Buster didn't want one big league so desperately bought these 2 clubs to maintain Premiership status. In doing so is already upsetting their fans through lack of information to which they're not used too under previous owners. All the negativity has been created by one man who's desperation to save the league is turning his "customers" off. These supporters are now seeing what I've seen happening at King's Lynn. Keith Chapman in a decade has gone from a potential saviour of the sport to a virus that's spreading and needs stopping. -

As I've said many times, Buster will gag all and sundry as supporters don't matter. You are simply just a customer and irrelevant to him. I fully believe, all the money funding Speedway is from sponsorship, turnstile income is extra pocket money so their happiness over the quality of the product isn't at all important. What's important to him is that his sponsors are happy. -

Probably more to do with the fact Bjerre wasn't willing to risk the wage drop if Buster ran the club with Belle Vue offering a guaranteed income. -
Not so much prediction but I hope all the Buster clubs finish bottom 3. Apology to both Ipswich and Peterborough fans. You don't deserve to be treated the way you are.

Enjoy the ride under Buster's reign, your love for the club will dwindle under his ownership I have no doubt. Supporters are not in his thoughts as a business, you will just be a mugged off customer. -

Maybe Harris is the only rider to refuse the pay structure. He did sulk in the Speedway Star bumper edition about he'll only ride for so much or he'll quit the sport, running on about how the sport owes him a living. -

You have to remember what was rumoured weeks ago (rubbished by Watson). All rider's were made aware that team changes may have to be made if the club ISN'T sold. With it announced that Buster is officially the new owner then the club HASN'T been sold as such so rider's have to go, so to fit the budget Buster set from the start. -

I apologise The whole situation though is an absolute stinker. May be that now Buster is in full control Neil Watson doesn't have a job anymore? What could he add if so?? -

If the goalposts have been moved, it's a clear effort to shaft the Panthers as some promoters will detest and be jealous that they've been able to put together such a strong side. -
British rider's only

Depending on the last two signings King's Lynn may pip you lot to the 'Wooden Spoon'. It's ok going strength in depth but you do realise you're only supposed to be in this league to make the numbers up, not to try and be competitive
-
But that's a nonsense. You can't just start a new season with new rules with a out dated previous seasons assessed average. That's just bonkers. The averages assessed for both Premiership and Championship must be the same. Multiply or divide the conversion. 2019 is a new season and rider's on assessed averages then revert to the current season. Kasper should be 4.00 Premiership and 6.00 Championship. Taking Sheffield's average over the limit by 0.42.
